Guys are so FRUSTRATING!

I swear, why can't guys be easier to understand. I like a guy, he likes me but he hasn't asked me out. The age difference thing may freak him out ( it's only 2 years) but If he really likes me he should suck it up and ask me out. Now, most of you are probably thinking, " If you feel that strongly about it, why don't you just ask him out?" Well, my parents might not be exactly happy with me If I do based on the age difference. My mom would probably kill me. We haven't talked to each other in a week and when i send him a message he reads it but doesn't respond. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...... if anyone out there has some advice, let me know!
