Vampire Movies vs Their Book (Twilight)
First off they really need to make pissed one of the emotes, just saying... also i'm getting really pissed with how they're making some books into movies. They do okay with some like they didn't completely butcher Narnia, but some books are meant to stay books sorry if the world is getting too damn lazy to read nowadays, but it's true. They killed Bridge to Terebithia. In the end i think they were trying to see how unlike the book they could make it and still call it that name.
Mainly it's how they've been making vampire movies! I love the Twilight books like a lot of people do, but i saw the cast and wanted to shoot someone in the face. Edward is Cedric Diggory from the Harry Potter movies! Personally i think thats just sick, nothing against him, but he doesn't fit the part. Bella is supposed to be able to relate to people, but shes too mousy like in the pics and her hair looks like a rats nest. Angela is fucking Suzy from the nick show Ned's Declassified. The person that plays Esme looks like a phsyco stalker not all nice and motherly. The guy who plays Emmett was the dumbass blonde guy in Stick It and Accepted. The cast just doesn't fit the bill for me it's like fucking deja vu for me! And just saying the"vampires in this movie... kinda tan to live up to the book i swear johnny depp was paler in sweeney todd.
The first time this happened and i mean REALLY happened it was with Interview With the Vampire. It was an Anne Rice book and is the very God of vampire books questioning religion, God, mortality, morals, and all that jazz. It was the series that got me hooked on vampires which led me to Twilight. It was made into a movie a ways back and it pissed off anyone that really liked the book. The director ignored Anne Rice wwhat how she wanted her book made into. Guess who became the star of the movie? The lead vamp of that book? The one that questions the morals of killiing humans, life, and what it was for him now? It was fucking BRAD PITT. Yeah. Not the least bit pale and was able to piss a hell of a lot of people off. they went for the big name instead of the right person. So it isn't as bad this time as, well, Brad Pitt, but the very point of these types of books is that they're beyond people and are supposed to be purely only imaginable and different to everyone that reads it. I admit that i like some of the movies based on books, but if i read the book i imagine a certian character purely made up with the description given. Then i see the movie and i see the actors and actresses and think they did a good/bad job portraying that book, no matter how they did if i go to read that book again after seeing the movie my original characters are either changed or are the actors from the movie. I can't even remember how i originally imagined harry potter looking.
Well there's my lil movie rant for anyone who cares. I don't know if i'm gonna see Twilight when it comes out. My firend agreees with me, but wants to see the movie out of loyalty and i'll go depending on what she thinks i guess. So post a comment of message me if u wanna!
