What a Weekend :)

Now that all the festivities of Independence Day is over, it is time to post it on here to tell you all what happened. Like I already mentioned in my last journal, on July 3rd, we took my boyfriend, Nick, to the Baroda Fireworks Show. We got there aroung 9PM and found a good spot to sit close to the van. While we were waiting, my sister brought her DS and I had my MP3. My sister was in the chat room on her DS so that we can write to eachother instead of talking lol (We do this when we get really bored.) While we did this, every once in a while another DS was in range and entered my sisters chat. At times we had up to three other people! We had no clue who these people and when we asked them, they wither got out of range or didn't really respond. It was actually quite funny. The fireworks began and as usual, they were amazing. After about a good half hour in a traffic jam, we finally had smoothe sailing the rest of the way home. On Independence Day, we went to my Grandma's house for a picnic. While we were waiting for the food to cook, my sister and I played "Speed" I won every time and my sister started to get frustrated. lol After lunch, we played some more until she finally beat me. When "Speed" got boring, we switched games. "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" was next. Playing that game you either feel really stupid or really smart. lol I felt smart, I only had to usea lifeline once. Both my sister and I made it to the Million Dollar Question and got it right :) My sister's question was so freaking easy! It was: "Motown is the nickname of which US City?" Der der der, the answer is Detroit, Michigan! If my sister got that one wrong I was going to strangle her! (We live in Michigan) Moving on, we got home and later my dad stopped by. He said that he is going to take us to the Fireworks show in St. Joseph.
Not too long after his announcement, my BFF Alex called me asking me what I was doing that evening. I told her that my dad is going to take us to the fireworks. She got depressed and when I asked her what was wrong, she told me that she wanted to take me to the fireworks. In the end I went with Alex. She recently got her drivers lisence and really wanted to take me. Alex's mom was at a block party in St. Joseph and she gave us directions on how to get there. On the way there, we listened to Disney music...Little Mermaid, Lion King, and Mulan...lol Of course, I know St. Joe quite well for having lived there at one point in time, so I had to be her guide. We parked a good half hour's walk from the bluff of Lake Michigan. Where we parked it was only two blocks from where I used to live. Me guideing her, we walked the same route that my family took years ago. It was a nice walk and brought back a lot of good memories. At the beach, we headed to a spot close to the pier. (I love our lighthouse btw...random thought) Here we carved out seats into the cool sand and relaxed. We talked for two good hours before the fireworks filled the night sky. Before the show however, there was some sort of domestic disturbance afoot becasue 4 police came down to the area where we sat looking for someone who apparently could not stop bleeding. I do not know what the heck happened but it wasn't good. On my MP3, I have two recording from that night that I will cherich forever. It took forever to get home, the traffic jam being so long and conjested. Alex really was anxious to get home because she though that she started her period. She did not want to bleed all over her dads Ford Explorer. Back home, I learned that my dad did not park too far from where we did. About a block or two over. I also found out the best news: MY DAD GOT A JOB!!! It is a company in Sydney, Ohio. I am so happy! :) This is really going to help out our financial situation. Our van needs a new front right tire, and we need some other miscellaneous things. But despite all of this, we are still waiting for our Stimulus Package. We need the money becasue my dad just got hired and it takes time to get settled with a paycheck flowing reularily. So yeah, that was my Fourth of July Weekend. Saturday and Sunday I played video games like literally the entire day. Today I posted two new chapters for my Eragon Love Story. Check it out. :P TTYL
