"POSER ALERT" was the first thought that hit my mind when I saw her.She was wearing tight jeans, black flats, and a black T-shirt full of white polka dots.Let's call this person "Paula" to protect her identity. She was sitting on the sidewalk,a boring expression on her face. Her little brother was playing with a basketball, bouncing it from place to place.
"Come here,Paula, let's play some basketball!" said her little brother.
"Sorry John, but I can't do that." Paula answered.
"Why not? You used to enjoy playing this sport." John said confuced.
"Because I'm a Rocker/Emo/Goth." Paula answered.
"So?" asked John, even more confuced by his sister's pathetic behavior.
"You don't understand me!!! People like me aren't supposed to play sports!!!" she screamed at her brother.
At this little John stood quiet, then went to play alone.
"Because I'm a Rocker/Emo/Goth." That stupid phrase hit my mind and made me get a mixture of emotions between anger, disgust and laughter.I wanted to laugh at her so hard for trying to be something she is not,but at the same time I felt like I was gonna hit her.Only because some one is Preppy,Goth,Jock,Emo,Nerd or whatever they are doesn't mean they can't do certain stuff.I mean hey look at me,I listen to AFI,Metallica,Bullet for My Valentine etc. and I practice ballet and tap.Only because I like certain stuff that won't stop me from doing what I want.
"Calm yourself,Elzizah." I told myself."You shouldn't worry for such an idiotic girl who used to play tea party with you.If she's a poser, one day she'll get tired of pretending to be someone she is not,and she'll give up."...Wow I was amazed at my thought. It's so true.So people here goes my advice for you: Whenever you see a poser or wannabe trying to be something they are not,DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME INSULTING THEM(although it may be fun),SOONER OR LATER THEY'LL DISCOVER IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND THEY'LL GIVE UP. As easy as that! Sorry this is kinda long,I divided every paragraph, but they just don't show :(...Thanks for reading and sorry this may have sounded too stereotypical.
