About Me
Hello, I'm Sophie and this is my currently sucky page. I'm just a little writer on a website and here's a little bit about my stuff. All of my stories are on hiatus because of a hectic school year and AP classes. They frighten me. Oh! Please message me, because your messages keep me going. Thanks a bundle. Sophie

Let's Talk Politics
People in this country (the good old U.S. of A.) are f*cking idiots. How is it that a 'folkish' governor from the state of Alaska (of all of the Podunk states) manages to get this far in any election; as a vice presidential candidate or otherwise. The woman can barely form an intelligible sentence much less assist an almost dying president (-ial prospect) run a country. I realize that she’s a ‘good woman’ and all the crap that these dumb-sh*t republicans are spouting but her friends don’t even agree with most of the things that she says.
I’m not going to start on McCain, because the old geezer scares the heck out of me; physically, mentally and politically. He is not – in short – who I want running my country.
But back to Palin. She’s a woman; I’m not dumb. I can see that she is a woman and understand it perfectly well, but what the hell does that have to do with her politics? Am I supposed to sympathize with her because we share our gender – and little else – in common? She’s an idiot and I wouldn’t vote for the McCain-Palin ticket (or the other way around depending on who you ask) just because of her sex. I don’t care about her gender. Like, I admired Hillary Clinton because of her spit-fie attitude, her poise, her strength and her ability to debate; but Sarah Palin does NOT earn my respect because of her gender. In fact, it’s degrading for people to even think that because Palin is a woman that women would vote for her. I HATE that idea.
Now just because I’m not inclined to favor the Republican Party this election doesn’t mean that I am falling to the ground, overwhelmed at the very mention of Obama’s name. He’s a good guy, but a lot of his policies are unsettling as well. He is something that the world (at the very least United States) has never really seen before. And because of his fresh face he instills uncertainty in many people; such as me and many of my family and friends. Barack Obama is not a God; he is a man and has flaws. But when there is no other real choice on the ballot I would much rather have a man who I would deem reasonably stable and who has – at the very least – a running mate with experience and who still seems to posses all of his mentally facilities. John McCain… I would agree with the comparison between McCain and the Joker, though I might more willingly vote for the Joker as president.
Maybe it’s just me who thinks that this is a laughable race – though I know for a fact, an honest to goodness, fact that I’m not. I don’t even think that John McCain should be running, much less Sarah Palin. Obama, again, is frightening, and Joe Biden is to me the most reliable man in this race – he makes sense, is strong, applies to my sense of justice and is still just a politician. But really people (“my fellow Am-ur-ikans” as George W. might say) listen without bias. How is there a comparison between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin in the V.P. Debates?
I would honestly like an answer.
