Creativity=Gone
Alright, so I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to notice Quizilla writers lack of creativity now-a-days. I mean, vampire stories, sure, that's all good and whatnot, as long as you've got a strong plot and something new to bring to the table, some twists here and there.But Jacob Black and Edward Cullen stories?? I mean come on people! It's already a book! The characters already have their lovers, even if Jacob's is still pretty young! What do you do? Kill off Reneesme and Bella? Sheesh, maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, but it bugs the hell out of me seeing books re-written with different characters, especially books of which practically fall into a genre of their own.
I've even seen Jonas Brothers' stories! First of all, ew, they aren't that cute, second of all, they're like twelve! And their music really isn't that good. But seriously! They're all looking the same everytime I've looked at them, although I haven't gotten past the first few sentences.
Also, I've noticed that many of the highest rated and most popular stories are rated fives, when in reality they should be threes. The "I's" aren't even capitalized! The grammar is terrible, people constantly use the wrong type of "there" (or their, or they're). I'm sorry, but it seems that the English language is constantly being butchered on a daily basis and yet it's being encouraged, of all the terrible things. I know it's been said over three billion times on Quizilla, but it is called "Spellcheck" it's helpful, hell I still spell things wrong and typos do occur at least once when writing. People aren't perfect, that's why spellcheck (and computers for that matter)was even invented.
*sigh* Well, I'm glad I got that off my chest, or at least out into writing. I just hope that there are some good writers in hiding out there, and I hope to high Hell that they come out of hiding soon and beat back the bad writers with a very big stick.
