About Me

I want to grow up yet stay young forever. I want to be simpler, yet stay complex. I want to remember those shopping carts with the scratched out K-mart letters, and coffee, under street lights. Downtown Vaihingen with the strange men attempting to sing "Hey there Delilah" and the unforgetable ever-appearing sushi man who looked like Hiro from Heroes. I want to help in the fight for Tibet and Burma. I have alot of things I want, but wanting is only half of it, doing is the hard part. I listen to everything. My favorite band is the Cure. Mesage me sometime. I'll definetly respond.

[teenager signs? advertisements?]

Now a days it seems like you can't go anywhere on the internet without seeing some group of teenagers making 'signs' for friends.
There is the epidemic of 'teenadvertisements'.
You all know what I'm talking about here.
I'm not voicing anything against it, it's just that there comes a point where it seems completely and utterly pointless to me. A waste of time, space, energy, and it can quite possibly be detrimental sooner or later. I firmly belive that is only if you loose control of it. And most of us have to admit, it's pretty dang fun. not to mention you get that happybuzz feeling inside when someone makes one for you.
I've done my share of 'signs' for people.
In fact, I have a reputation for not getting them to people untill a month or so after they've asked and I've agreed. Or most likey I've offered.
Simply because if I'm going to mark myself up for you, advertise YOU, or post yet another picture that will be loose on the free web, I want it to be creative, and worth while.
You will never see me post a 'sign' for anyone that simply has their name, or is generic.
My friends make fun of me...they tell me i don't make signs( the few I make) I make creative outbursts of love and affection.
I think i take that as a compliment.

Well recently
I was thinking the other day about how people can look at a photo and by human nature tend to automatically begin to subconciously judge what they are seeing.
I figure if i'm going to 'sell myself' and another person in a photo add. It better be damn good.

Then I got caught up in some long philosophical discussion with Nathan about what more important things we could advertise, or the points you can make with a few words how they can mean different things...

Labels?
'Signs'?
Creative displays of love and affection?
Advertisements?
could be a number of things.
the below could mean a number of things.

Teens have the potential to become the walking billboards of society. I mean tatoos have already made that point but with this new 'fad' 'craze' or whatever you want to call it... just think about the GOOD we could advertise.

'

"Save Tibet!"
"Save Burma!"
"Fight Immigration!"
"Free Immigration!"
"Colorado Roads need major maintenece."
"NYC. My dog does not pee on cement. Nor do my kids play in intersections."
"Promote Peace In Cali."
"Terrets is a serious illness. Remember that next time you laugh at Terrets Guy."
"free the West Memphis Three"
"Don't free the West Memphis Three"

Whatever you want can be said.
and face it... it would make a bigger impact on peoples lives than

"ANNAASP FUCKING OWNS YOU."
and
"Mel Maelstrom is AMAZZZINNGG <3"

I think I'm done with my rant,
any comments?
