Let's get some C-C-Controversy
I'm totally not saying that I don't love it, all these ongoing arguments and controversies, but even I cannot deny that it gets OLD after a while. Arguing over the internet is extremely pointless and entirely idiotic, so why do we do it?We're girls. We're young girls, and we have nothing better to do. Some of us are just more eloquent than others.
I've been checking out Lara's journal a lot lately, which I've become an advocate to (which is a lot more promising than this one) and there's so many teenagers over there giving her slack because she's being honest with herself, and everybody else. What is it with this? Just because she says something you, personally do not like, you decide to complain about it, and then get even more pissed off when she says that she really doesn't care? And you wonder why we make fun of you?
By 'we' I mean the whole of quizilla's heirarchs, the veterans, the 'popular kids' or the 'in-crowd'. The latter of which I think is completely ridiculous, because this is most definately NOT high school, so why would you compare the two?
The more popular writers here, we all got known for something. I'm going to say what's on my mind, and I'm going to be confident about it, and apparently that is what I'm best known for. I don't write amazing stories, like Lara, or mind-boggling passionate scenes like Jess. I'm a fair writer, I start of weak, get stronger, then finish off just a little stronger than I started. But I'm egotistical, and I'm extremely confident in myself, and people see that, so they think, "oh well, then, she MUST be good!" I'm okay.
What is the heirarchy of Quizilla? I won't name name's, for once in my life, but I will tell you that they're the names you see on every other writers homepage, the one's who have the secret cults and make fun of you 'lower writers' behind your backs. =/
(Sarcasm doesn't read well over the internet, so I'm going to get slack for that one.)
I will tell you, I'm probably the resident drama-queen of quizilla. I have kids here, who hate my guts, because I fued I had with one of their favorite writers. I have kids here who respect me, and look up to me, who 'idolize' me. (Don't do that.) I do like attention, in moderation. It's nice to be noticed, you know, but it's better to be respected for something you did right, than to be known for some rude thing you said to so-and-so that got totally blown out of porportion.
The kids here, they just need to learn to grow up. This is a place for everybody to write, but why WOULD you even bother writing if you know it's terrible? Why would you even bother asking people for ratees, messages if you know it's terrible?
It's hard not to notice all the paper crap on this website -- it's everywhere. There are few, honestly, good writers in this place, and if you don't think that it's you, than it probably isn't, because a good writer KNOWS they're a good writer, and can admit when they've written something that is bad. And we all love run-on sentances and thoughts that start with 'and' instead of a comma, so just get into it, and stop complaining, because you look like an even bigger jackass than I am.
