Pink-I'm Not Dead Lyrics
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
There's always cracks
Crack of sunlight
Crack in the mirror on your lips
It's the moment of a sunset Friday
When our conversations twist
It's the fifth day of ice on a new tattoo
But the ice should be on our heads
We only spun the web to catch ourselves
So we weren't left for dead
And I was never looking for approval from anyone but you
And though this journey is over I'll go back if you ask me to
I'm not dead just floating
Right between the ink of your tattoo
In the belly of the beast we turned into
I'm not scared just changing
Right beyond the cigarette and the devilish smile
You're my crack of sunlight
You can do the math a thousand ways but you can't erase the facts
That others come and others go but you always come back
I'm a winter flower underground always thirsty for summer rain
And just like the change of seasons
I know you'll be back again
I'm not dead just floating
Underneath the ink of my tattoo
I've tried to hide my scars from you
I'm not scared just changing
Right beyond the cigarette and the devilish smile
You're my crack of sunlight oh
I'm not dead just yet
I'm not dead I'm just floating
Doesn't matter where I'm going
I'll find you
I'm not scared at all
Underneath the cuts and bruises
Finally gained what no one loses
I'll find you
I will find you
I'm not dead just floating
I'm not scared just changing
You're my crack of sunlight yeahYeah yeah yeah yeah yeahThere's always cracksCrack of sunlightCrack in the mirror on your lipsIt's the moment of a sunset FridayWhen our conversations twistIt's the fifth day of ice on a new tattooBut the ice should be on our headsWe only spun the web to catch ourselvesSo we weren't left for deadAnd I was never looking for approval from anyone but youAnd though this journey is over I'll go back if you ask me toI'm not dead just floatingRight between the ink of your tattooIn the belly of the beast we turned intoI'm not scared just changingRight beyond the cigarette and the devilish smileYou're my crack of sunlightYou can do the math a thousand ways but you can't erase the factsThat others come and others go but you always come backI'm a winter flower underground always thirsty for summer rainAnd just like the change of seasonsI know you'll be back againI'm not dead just floatingUnderneath the ink of my tattooI've tried to hide my scars from youI'm not scared just changingRight beyond the cigarette and the devilish smileYou're my crack of sunlight ohI'm not dead just yetI'm not dead I'm just floatingDoesn't matter where I'm goingI'll find youI'm not scared at allUnderneath the cuts and bruisesFinally gained what no one losesI'll find youI will find youI'm not dead just floatingI'm not scared just changingYou're my crack of sunlight yeah

Tips on Writing a Story/Fanfiction Pt. 3 Character Backgrounds.
A character needs some kind of background to explain why the character is who they are in the present. Ask yourself these questions about your character to help you write a good background. And don’t forget to refer to your timeline and character sheet to help.
1. What type of childhood did they have that would affect them now?
2. What about their early teenage years that would affect them now?
3. Who are their parents and what type of affect does that have on their personality and life?
4. What town, city, state, county, and country did they grow up in and what type of affect does that have on their personality and life?
5. What type of things or characteristics makes your character unique and has played a part in their personality?
6. Do they have flaws in their personality or imperfections in their eyes even if not in someone else's eyes, if so why do they believe that (is there an event that can explain why)?
7. Do they have flaws in their personal body or imperfections and how has this affected their personality?
8. What type of relationship do they have with their family and why?
9. What type of moral beliefs do they have and how has this affected their personality?
10. What makes them likeable?
11. What makes them dislikeable?
12. What things in their life are important to them and why?
13. Does their career define who they are or does their life define their career?
You should probably write a background for each of your main characters.

Tips on Writing a Story/Fanfiction Pt. 2 Timelines.
Here's an example of a timeline written by Zoe (not me):
1760 Fiore was born, a perfect fairy child but as she slowly aged a white blemish appeared on her dark purple skin, which displeased her mother greatly.
1761 Fiore's mother who is an aesthetic being is repelled by Fiore and replaces her by a healthy and unbaptised baby from the human town near the edge of the forest.
1765 By the time Fiore is five; her human caretakers grow scared of her different physical beauty and countenance. She has grown wings. They lead her deep into the forest convincing them that they are returning her to her birthplace. Alone, Fiore can hardly provide for herself.
1766 A year passes and Fiore meets up with a band of faeries, other changelings like herself that have been cast off as ugly beings. Fiore soon learns that they are in fact ugly outside as well as inside; they murder, kidnap and defile everything around them. For the next ten years, they laugh and tease Fiore (an almost perfect being other than a blemish on her skin) but never harm her bound to the rules of the outcasts. Fiore spends her time as far as she is allowed from the main camp as an outcast within outcasts. She explores the forests and scavenges for anything that sparkles as well as discusses with flowers and nature.
1776 Two travelers, unaware of the dangers, wander into the path of the forest. Fiore with her tricky fae magic tries to lead them out of the forest by confusing them in order to save their lives. Unfortunately, her fellow changelings sniff the travelers out and begin their fairy raid to catch them and torture them. Fiore, her heart pure and jovial, will go through a series of events in order to save the travelers from her ugly family and in the process will be cast out and forced to join the travelers as they hurry out of the forest.
I suggest that you write a timeline for all of your major characters and even some of the secondary characters.

Tips on Writing a Story/Fanfiction. Pt. 1 Character Sheets.
Name:
Age:
Height:
Weight:
Hair color and style:
Eye color:
Complexion and skin tone:
Character's body build:
Short stories require a little more detail and give you the opportunity to give your reader a look into your character’s past. I suggest using this character sheet along with the previous one:
Character back story:
Identifying marks:
Facial features:
Hand features:
Scent:
Mannerisms or gestures:
Long stories such as novels need the most detail because the characters drive the story just as much as the plot. A detailed character sheet will help you write a story that keeps the character interested from beginning to end. I suggest using the two previous sheets along with this one:
Strongest personality traits:
Weakest personality traits:
Needs of the character:
Ambitions:
Father's name:
Age:
Physical appearance:
Mother's name:
Age:
Physical appearance:
Sibling's names and descriptions:
Favorite sayings:
Interests and hobbies:
Favorite foods:
Favorite colors:
Pets:
Education:
Religion:
Financial situation:
Future plans:
Possessions this character values most:
What drives your character:
How does your character handle conflict:
What is standing in your character's way:
What is their favorite room and why:
What vehicle do they drive:
Favorite sport(s):
What are your character's prejudices:
How does your character feel about love:
About crime:
What is their neighborhood like:
What is your character's philosophy on life:
What is your character's family life like:
You should also write an outline of the character’s life up to the beginning of the story. You also need to write a profile for your character to focus the character’s information.
When writing a series of books about a character or groups of characters, the character sheet comes in handy. It keeps you from forgetting important details.
