Latest Journal Entry
July 7, 2008
From a logical standpoint, why write this entry?
As I attempt, for a SECOND TIME to write my FIRST journal entry, having given up on the first attempt when Quizilla failed to save and publish it, I find myself wondering: "From a logical standpoint, why should I bother writing this entry when it's unlikely that it will be successfully published, and 50 times as unlikely that anyone will read it?"So, why amI writing it? Because I can, and I feel like pouring off some of my excess logic... randomly. I am, undoubtedly, both the most logical and illogical person I know. It's almost funny, actually... funny, like the way this journal entry's sophisticated language sounds ona site where many, many people can't spell the word "character". Funny, likethe way I sound after I start a conversation with someone using the phrase "From a logical standpoint...."
People have told me that I talk funny before, and they don't mean that I have an accent, lisp or any other form of speech impediment... I just seem to have the power to confuse mere mortals with my (Occasionally illogical) logic, which I happen to find funny.
Not that I look down on people. I just tend to become frustrated with people who can't understand either my logic or way of speaking... even when I try with every fiber of my being to simplify it. Also, I tend to become rather annoyed with people who, having learned English as their primary language, can hardly spell the simplest of English words (Dear God, help me, I have seen the word "color/ colour" spelled incorrectly (as culler, coler, etc.) so many times, I could cry)
That's pretty much all I have to say at the moment- No deep, dark secrets (not that I don't have any, I have too many), no grand philosophical revelations, no real inspiration.... and no witty closing statement. That is all.
