You and Sakura giggled a little while splashing eachother carelessly in the hot spring waters.
"Hey Karura." Sakura said slyly.
"Ya?"
"Wouldnt it be cool if the boys were watching us now?"
"Ugh! You little pervert! Do you really want Kankuro, Neji, Gaara, Naruto and Lee watching us?"
".... Yes. Wouldnt it be fun?"
"Your hopeless... And no, I dont think it would be fun, it would be extremely embaressing."
"Do you like one of them?"
"Nani?! No! I-"
"Oh come on, I saw you eyeing Gaara before we were put into random 3 man cells."
"... Hes cute ok."
"Dont joke with me Karura, you havnt looked at a boy like that since Fereas...."
"Shut up Sakura, I would never betray Fereas like that.... I loved him Sakura. I cant just give him up and fall for some random Suna nin."
"But he isnt random, is he? Naruto had told you all about him, his looks, his killer instinct, you fell for the guy before you even met him. You cant deny it."
"I guess your right..."
She smiled,"I knew it."
"I-im gonna go back to the others to finish the test ok? Ill see you in a couple days."
She yawned,"Ok. Ja ne."
You got out of the hot springs, and you could swear you heard nose bleeds. You shrugged, and wrapped the thin towel around your body.
You saw a few flashes of bright red and blond, and the color from your face drained.
"NARUTO!!! GAARA!!" You screamed, running towards the campsite.
When you got there...
"Shit! Whip the blood from your nose Naruto! Your gonna give us away!" Lee hissed to Naruto. Naruto hastily whiped the rest of it away from his nose, and started 'casualy' talking to Gaara, who snickered in responce to his 'Hows your life?' question.
"Hey guys." You said, stepping out from under a tree. Naruto and Lee blushed really bad, and held their noses. Gaara was emotionless,"Hey Karura." He said without batting an eye.
"So, what have you been doing?" You asked, sitting down really close to Gaara. He smirked,"Absolutely nothing. Why? What have you been doing?"
"Same. Me and Sakura were about to have a make out session but I saw something blond in the bushes."
"Kuso..." Naruto groaned quietly. You giggled, and scooted closer to Gaara,"So, were you the bright red flash I saw next to the blond one?"
He smirked,"What if I was?"
"Ah hah! You just admited that you were! Naruto! I told you to stop watching me bathe dammit!!" You said, and kick his scrawny little ass.
"What was that? The 3rd time this week you've watched me? Jiraya's pervertedness is really going to your head baka." You said while crossing your arms. He laid on the ground, bruises covering his body while Lee poked him with a stick. You sighed,"Oh well..."
*Later*
Naruto had left, you had gotten dressed, and Lee had apologized for watching you in the hot springs a billion times.
"*sigh* Lee, I said its alright, stop saying your sorry or else Ill really get mad at you."
"Sorry Karura-"
"STOP IT!!!" You yelled. He shut his mouth and started to twiddle with his thumbs. Gaara chuckled,"You have a way with men." He said in intrest.
"Not always...." You replied, and looked up at the rising sun. He looked at you strangly, and then shrugged,"Whatever..."
*Near The Tower*
"Finally!" You said, and you three walked up to the double doors with the two scrolls. Lee opened the doors, breaking the seal on it.
Inside, you and Gaara threw the scrolls in and there was a 'poof!'.
Out of the smoke stepped a man that looked just like.... Lee.
"Gai-sensei!!" Lee said in bliss, and hugged the man. The man smiled at him,"Lee! I see you made it here in good time! Oh? Those are your team mates?" He said pointing to you and Gaara. You were sweatdropping, while Gaara looked at him blankly.
Lee nodded,"Hai! This is Nara Karura, and you already know Sabaku no Gaara." He pointed to you and Gaara at the mention of your names. You smiled and waved slightly,"Hi."
Gai smiled meschiviously, and said in Lee's ear,"She would make a good wife." Lee blushed as red as a tomato, and mummbled something under his breath. Gai glared at Gaara, and didnt say anything.
*Inside The Examination Room*
You and the other two were led to rooms you would be staying in to wait for the other genins. Yours was on the second floor, room number 248. Gaara was on the same floor with room number 251, so he was only a couple rooms away from you, and Lee was on the first floor, room number 148. He was right under your room. You and Gaara spent a lot of time with eachother through out the next few days. He told you about his insomnia, and you told him about your anorexia.
When he told you about the demon inside of him, he expected you to become frightened of him, and not like him at all, but in contrast, you liked him even more. You thought it was awesome to have a Bijuu inside of your body, but he said it was hell.
"Whats the monster's name?" You asked. Currently, you and him were sitting on the huge fingers in the form of a handseal.
"Shukaku. The sand demon." He replied,"Why would you want to have a demon inside of you? They're constantly nagging at your fighting styles, and they always scare people off, so that means that you can kiss any friends you wanted to have goodbye."
"Well, Naruto has the Kyuubi, and you have Shukaku, so I just feel kinda left out from your little club of Jinchūriki." You said while winking with your tongue sticking out a little.
He chuckled,"Your very interesting for a Nara girl. Your brother is much lazier then you, where do you get the spunk?"
"Naruto, of course. I always hang out with him. Normally, I cant do anything with my nii-san because my parents are pushing him to be the best, and I cant be apart of that training because Im a 'bad influence'.*sigh* I just wish that they would pay more attention to me."
"To tell you the truth, I think your above them. If they dont listen to you or pay attention to you, its their loss. Hey, you got me and Naruto right?" He said with a playfull smirk.
You laughed,"Right, and for that Im grateful. Arigato gozaimasu Gaara-kun."
"No problem Karura-chan." He replied, and lightly shoved your shoulder. You shoved him back, and he did it back, until it was an all out war.
"Im gonna get you Shukaku containor!!" You yelled, looking under the large fingers for Gaara.
"Here little Racoon! I promise I wont hurt you!!.... Much." You added softly, making a small evil chuckle.
"Boo." Gaara said behind you."Eep!" You jumped a little, and then turned around to find a smirking Gaara."Hey! Thats not fair! You can teleport and crap! I cant." You whined.
"Oh stop whining you pethetic little onna. I swear, your just like Temari when shes PMSing."
".... Oh thats a nice thing to say. Ok, Im mad at you now." You said, and started walking away from him. He growled, and teleported in front of you and pinned you to the wall,"Nobody walks away from me." He hissed. You got scared,"I was just kidding Gaara..." You whispered. His eyes widened a little, and he let you go.
"... That was awkward." You said, scratching your cheek a little,"Im not mad anymore, just promise me that you wont get all pissy again if I ever DO get mad at you."
"....."
"God dammit Gaara, we gotta get you some social skills."
"What the hell do you mean by that?"
"I mean, you wont always be able to hang out with me or Naruto. Lee too, even though you two dont really seem like the best of friends. If I promise to be with you a lot of the time, will you promise me that you'll try to make a couple more friends?"
"... As long as your there with me, fine.... After the chuunin exams.... what will happen?" He asked with a slightly sad demeanor.
"I dont know... I might be able to visit Sunagakure no Kuni on medicine deliverys, but thats probably it...."
"Why dont you come live with us?"
"N-nani? What do you mean by that?"
"Well, your parents ignore you right? You can come live with me and my siblings in Suna. We have a really big house, so you wont be taking up any room."
"R-Really? I would love to! As long as my parents agree."
"Good. But, you'll have to become friends with Temari and Kankuro first."
"No prob Gaara-kun." You said with a wink.
*A Day Later*
"KANKURO!! NEJI!! C'MON WERE ALMOST THERE!!" You heard Sakura cry. You were sitting down, Gaara had his head on your lap and you were playing with his, surprisingly soft, hair and singing a little.

Sakura, Kankuro and Neji stopped right below you(you two were on the large fingers again), and watched you two in intrest, Kankuro in disbelief. Gaara looked happy, for the first time in a very very long time.
"Oh! Sakura-chan!! You yelled, making Gaara sigh in irritaion.
"What? Im aloud to have other friends you know Gaara."
"But why her?"
"Oh be quiet Racoon boy." You said, and jumped down to Sakura and the other two, making Gaara's head slump lazily against the fingers. He groaned, and followed you down.
You embraced Sakura, and said,"You got here early this time!"
She giggled,"I have great team mates. Neji and Kankuro work pretty well together."
"Thats good, I needed another girl around. Just having Gaara and Lee was getting kind of boring."
"Excuse me?" Gaara interupted.
You giggled,"Im kidding Gaara-kun. Your very fun, when your not slaming me into the wall."
" Look, I said sorry ok?"
"No you didnt!!"
".... Shut up."
Kankuro smiled a little,'Im glad you found someone you can talk to Gaara.' He thought as you pulled Gaara's hair and he yelled at you to stop. Kankuro chuckled,'Maybe you'll fall in love with her..... Or maybe you already have, and you dont realize it.'

Through out the rest of the day, you and Sakura were chasing Gaara around the compound trying to get him to put on the kabuki stuff like Kankuro's.
"Oh come on Gaara! It'll be fun!! Ill put it on too!" You yelled at random places trying to figure out where he was. Sakura had given up, and went to go hang out with Kankuro, Lee and Neji, who were currently playing Shoji, or trying anyway.
"I found you!" You said after looking on the roof of the tower,"I thought you would be somewhere like this!"
"Then why did it take you an hour to find me?" Gaara said with a smirk.
".... I was creating suspence, get off my back!" You replied. He chuckled a little, and watched a couple more genins walk into the compound."Who were they?" You asked Gaara, sitting next to him.
"The bug boy, a konoha genin, dont know her name, and Temari. They should be in soon, we'll go meet 'em later." He said emotionlessly. You nodded,"Kay. What do you want to do till then?"
"... Are your ears peirced?"
"... How random is that. Hai, my ears are indeed peirced many times."
He hands you a pair of dangly creasnet moon earings."I found them in my mother's old room. Ive kept them in my pocket for a while, and its getting kind of annoying, so you can have em." He said blankly. You looked at the earings, and then at Gaara,"Thank you so much Gaara-kun, they're beautiful."
"Yeah whatever..." He said, and turned toward the setting sun.
"Hey, can I stay up with you tonight?" You asked, putting the earings in your first peircing. He cocked a would-be eyebrow,"Stay up all night?"
"yeah. We do have two more days until the time limet ends, I can stay up one night without losing my energy for the next day. Besides, we can go see whos close around the tower and scare the crap out of them." You said with an evil chuckle.
The corners of his mouth twitched up in a sadistic smirk,"Should be fun." He growled a little in anticipation, and you blushed a lot.
'He has no idea how sexy he is, does he?' You thought with a slight smile.
*Later That Night*
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" An Amegakure girl screamed at the flood aproching her. She scrambled to her feet, and woke her two team mates up. They gasped, and ran, leaving their scroll behind.
You called off the illusion, and laughed so hard you fell off the branch you were on.
"Thats not very nice Karura." You heard above you. You whiped away the beginnings of tears, and got up,"Hey Ino. Your team mates are Hinata and Chouji right?" You asked, still getting rid of the giggles. She nodded, and Hinata and Chouji appered from the brush, sharing a bag of chips.
"Well, I got you a scroll." You said and picked up the scroll of earth from the ground. Ino was shocked, but she took it anyway,"Dont you need it?" She asked. You giggled and shook your head,"No silly, Im already done. I just came here with Gaara to scare the genin."
The three suddenly became scared, and Hinata said,"S-Sabaku no Gaara?" In her cute little voice. You nodded, and Gaara appered beside you. Ino whimpered a bit, and hid behind Chouji. You felt Gaara's mood darken. You touched his arm,"Lets go back to the tower Gaara." You said softly. He nodded, and you glanced back at the three before running off with Gaara.
"Sorry about the way they were acting Gaara..." You said to him once you both got back.
"Im used to it..." He replied, and stared up at the nearly full moon.
"Mind if I sing Gaara?"
"..."
"Ill take that as a 'No Karura, I dont mind.'"
He chuckled a little, and you smiled,"Hah! I made you laugh!" You said in a sing-song voice.
"You still gonna sing?"
"Of course silly!" You said with a smile, and leaned back on the roof.

You let a tear escape your eye, but you quickly swipe it away, hoping that Gaara didnt see it. The whole time, he had actually been watching you. You had sang the song with such emotion, that Gaara knew immedeatly, it was about you.
Unfortunatly, he had seen the tear, but fortunatly, he didnt say anything. He scooted next to you, and laid his head on your shoulder. You blushed, and smiled a little. For the rest of the night, you and him sat there in silence, watching the moon.

It was finally morning, and you had fallen asleep around 5 in the morning. You jolted awake,"Gaara?"
"Hm?" He said. His head was still on your shoulder.
"You wanna get something to eat?" You said with a smile. He took his head off your shoulder, yawned, and nodded.
He chased you down the tower, while you laughed happily. He finally just smirked, and teleported in front of you, pinning you to the ground.
"Got you." He said smirking defiently. You pouted,"You used your teleport ability thing! Re-do!"
"Um... No, I caught you, dosnt matter how. Now you have to eat two servings of gizzard."
"But it'll make me fat!"
"Pft, if it could make you fat then Id stuff it down your anorexic throut! Now c'mon, I expect you to eat how much you weigh... How much do you weigh?"
"Hm... About 30 kg. Why?"
".... Homygod we gotta get you fatter." He said in slight disbelief.
"Aaaawww..." You groaned.
"Oh dear, I hope Im not interupting anything." Naruto said, leaning against the doorframe, a sly smirk plastered on his face.
It wasnt a very pretty picture, Gaara on top of you, and you just made a 'noise'.
"Looks like Gaara found himself a girlfreind." Kankuro said behind Naruto, a similar smirk on his kabuki face.
Gaara quickly got off you, and you swear you could see a hint of a blush on his cheeks.
You smiled,"No, were not together, were just really good friends and he was just going to take me over to the food court. Right Gaara-kun?" You said, nudging Gaara in the ribs.
"Right, we'll be going now." He said and grabbed your wrist, dragging you behind him.
