Chapter 21
Meanwhile outside...
Neji, Lee, Naruto and Sasuke sat outside the window listening to their conversation as soon as they heard about Tarou and Iani, Neji glared and Lee almost yelled out "WHAT?!" but Naruto covered his mouth.
"I didn't promise to marry him, i said i might when we get older, you never know i could change my mind" Iani said cooly and all the guys let out a breath.
"Sooo...you haven't answered my Question yet!" Tenten said.
the boys seemed to inch closer, wondering what her answer would be.
They heard Iani go "Uuhhhh.....cant i say none? Relationships are trouble no matter how you look at them" she said.
"NO! you have to answer! This is a life or death question!" Tenten said, they could practically feel Iani sweatdropping as she said "How is it Life or Death?"
Tenten chuckled.
"Because if you dont answer i will kill you" she said darkly.
Iani didn't flinch and said "Can you?"
Tenten looked surprised and said "Can i what?"
Iani looked her straight in the eyes "Can you kill me? at your level?"
Tenten stepped back a bit and said "We-well not really, i dont wanna kill anyone"
Iani smiled "Then dont make empty threats you cant carry out, Kay?"
Everyone got a shiver down their spine at Iani's attitude.
Iani sighed and rolled her eyes "Fine! If i had to date someone of our age it would be Naruto..."
Naruto almost yelled out but the other three guys tackled him out of the tree, when they climbed back up they heard the rest of what Iani was saying "But only because he's my childhood friend and i feel like i owe him"
Sakura and Tenten looked confused and Tenten asked "What for?"
"*Sigh* well we were both all alone and back then i was really depressing, lonely and poor, then Naruto came...he changed me and i became more outgoing, i would say whatever i wanted and play pranks with him...he was my first and best friend but then...times change...i was kidnap....i left and when i came back i was alot worse then i am now, i was mean and unfeeling...again he changed me...it might not be much but i feel as if i have apart of the old me back...thats why i owe him so much..." Iani told them.
When she looked at Sakura and Tenten she saw they had teary eyes and were staring at her wide-eyed.
Outside Naruto and Lee were almost in tears and Neji and Sasuke felt a new deep respect for Iani.
"Ne? Naruto?" Iani said, turning her head slightly to the window.
the four guys froze and peeked their heads over the window sill to see Iani in black pajamas with red writing that said "Worship me and we'll get along just fine!"
"Having fun eavesdropping?" she asked with a sly smirk, they all sweatdropped.
"Iani-chan, how long did you know we were there for?" Naruto asked.
"And how did you know we were there?" Lee asked.
"I sensed you from the moment you left you're tents, about the same time that Sakura asked me that question"
"I-iani-chan..." Naruto said, rubbing the back of his head and looking at the floor, Iani turned her eyes to him saying "Yeah?" and he blushed slightly before asking "Wo-would you really...go out with me?"
