A Fantasy RP (You know, with demons, vampires, and who knows what else!!) Part 111
Chapter 8 : 118
You hear an all-too-familiar laugh and look away to find Blake with Terror at his side. "I had no idea that, deep down, so many people are afraid of scorpions," Blake says, almost giggling. "Isn't that right, Blaise?" he asks. You look at Blaise, who is still staring at the ceiling, even though he cannot see anything. You realize it's because he's too afraid to move, other than to quiver. You look at Van and Donella, hoping they don't have a paralyzing fear of scorpions. Fortunately, they aren't paralyzed. However, you find it odd that they are staring intently at the ground. "What's up guys?" you whisper. "If we look into Terror's eyes, he'll be able to materialize our greatest fears, as well as cause us to become paralyzed with fear, even if that wouldn't be our normal reaction," Donella responds. "How do you fight someone like that?" you ask, looking at Terror, concerned that he may be the more difficult opponent of the two Renegades. "We can't, but you can, being a deity," Donella says. You take a deep breath, and a step forward, and say, "Terror, you're mine, just like we promised back when you freed me." Blake looks at Terror in shock. "Didn't tell you he let me go, did he?" you ask smuggly. Blake says, "It isn't that he let you go. No, he was supposed to let you go so that we could track you into Hell. It's the fact that he promised to fight you when he clearly cannot keep that promise." "And why can't he fight me?" you ask. "Because I am," Blake says, looking at you with angry eyes. *I don't like where this is headed...* You take a step back and Blake cries out, "You should be afraid, Princess! When I'm through with you, you'll be wishing you had fought with Terror, Princess Faelynn, and Stryker all at the same time!" The cavern begins to darken even more, and you get the sense that you're falling down, making your head spin. "What's going on?" you ask timidly. "It will be over soon. Then the real fun can begin," Blake's voice says from nowhere. You close your eyes tightly for a few seconds, in an attempt to stop your head from spinning. You soon open them again to find that you are standing in a dank dungeon, reminding you of Blake's room. You gag a little, due to the memories, and to the wretched smell. "Lovely, isn't it?" Blake asks from behind you. You spin around and see that he is sitting in an electric chair, looking rather comfortable. He motions to the room and says, "This is my home away from home. Feel privledged, as few people ever get to see the inner workings of my mind." "This is all just some illusion?" you ask, slightly awed. Blake stands up and says, "Illusion or not, the pain and death you receive here will be all too real." Your vision darkens, and you feel like you're falling again. This time when your vision returns to normal, you are the one in the electric chair, with Blake behind the controls. You feel that the helmet is firmly on your head, and your feet are in a basin of water. Your legs and arms are restrained so you cannot exactly escape. You take a deep breath as Blake grins and pulls a switch, sending multiple volts of painful electricity coursing through your body. You want to scream in pain, but every single muscle is paralyzed. Finally, after what seems like hours, but was probably only a few seconds, Blake turns off the electricity. "And that's only a small taste of my twisted fantasies. There are plenty more where that came from," he says, his grin widening. Your vision darkens and you feel like your spinning and falling, but the pain doesn't stop. Your muscles twitch uncontrollably as your vision returns to normal, with you standing outside what looks like an iron maiden. It slowly creeks open, revealing that it does not have spikes. An invisible force pushes you inside, and the heavy door closes behind you. Due to the electric chair, you still cannot move, so you can't even try to escape from the dark, tight prison. You hear the grinding sound of metal on metal and feel a sharp point on the inside of your wrist. *He's pushing swords in from the outside. Spectacular...* Fortunately, the next sword only grazes your back. However, the next one not only pierces your forearm, but goes completely through it, pinning your arm to the side of the coffin. The next blade scratches your calf, and the one after that pierces your side, but not very deep. Your vision then darkens and you fall further into the abyss that is Blake's mind. When your vision returns, Blake is standing in front of you next to four horses. "This one is, by far, the worst form or torture invented by humans," he says. "My Princess, you must fight back," you hear Vasya's voice. *How? I'm severely injured, and still a little shaken and paralyzed from the electric chair.* "I don't know how, but you must find a way to defeat Blake. You may die, only to be returned to Hell, but you'll be bound to Hell for a century. I know you don't want to have to wait a century to exact your revenge on Stryker, who will rule the world in one hundred years if you cannot find the strength to stand up to Blake," he says. "Drawing and quartering is a very painful and long procedure, so if you'll just lie down, we can tie you up and cut your stomach," Blake says. You smile and begin to laugh. Blake looks at you cautiously, as if a little afraid. "All this time, in our little fight, I was thinking about my life. I forgot that now that I'm a true goddess, a true princess, I cannot die," you say, still laughing. Blake gets in your face and says, "You will stay out of the Renegades' way, once we defeat you in Hell." You grab Blake's collar and lift him off of the ground. While suspending him in the air, you look deep into his eyes, seeing the fear that resides there. "Blake, I will do whatever I possibly can in order to ensure that neither you nor Gladwyne live after this little war you've started," you say, not releasing him. Blake futilely struggles against your grip as he argues, "I'm a prince! You cannot treat me like this!" "You are so very wrong, Blake. You are merely a peasant who, due to insanity, claims to be a prince. You are no god, Blake, neither is your brother. Unfortunately for the two of you, you were under the impression that you were, so you picked a fight with a true deity. Blake, I am the Goddess of Punishment and Suffering. You have lived your entire life in such a dreadful manner that I will receive your shade when your body dies. I look forward to that day, and you had better hope that you are still a masochist, as that will be the only possible way that you can salvage any sort of happiness from your afterlife," you say. Once you have finished your little speech, you throw Blake to the ground and add, "But for now, I will be the sadistic one, and I will toy with you." Blake tries to get up to run, but you grab his ankle with one hand and form a dagger in the other. You slam the dagger into his foot, pinning him to the ground. He shouts a string of obscenities, and you form another dagger, slamming this one into his hand, pinning him in such a position that he is in pain no matter if he turns, trying to get out from beneath the daggers, or if he stays still. "A little pay back, my dear, old friend," you say, slamming your fists into his stomach. "Now where's the exit?" you ask. Despite the position he is in, the false prince still manages to laugh, causing blood to drip from his lips. "As I said before, you are in my mind. You leave when I say so," Blake says, laughing. You look at him sternly and say, "Or I leave when you die." This causes Blake to laugh even harder, making him spit blood on you. "If I die while you and I are trapped in my mind, you die too," he says. "Blake, you are a terrible strategist. As a goddess, when my mortal self dies, my immortal self will return to Hell, trapped there for a century. You, on the other hand, will not be trapped there for a century, but for all eternity. Now think for a moment," you say, twisting the daggers in his hand and foot. "Would you prefer to start your eternal punishment in Hell sooner or later? I am going to be leaving, either way," you state. Your vision darkens, but you do not feel the spinning sensation. When your vision returns to normal, you find that you are back in the cavern. You look around to find Blaise still frozen in fear, but you cannot find Donella, Van, Blake, or Terror. *Good news, bad news...* You summon a Satnspawn and command it, "Take Blaise away from here, and try to heal his shattered psyche. I'm searching for Blood and Woulfe." It bows and tends to Blaise as you search Hell with your powers for Donella and Van. You find that they have taken the fight to the sea of lava where Donella's body was going to be burned, so you run that way as fast as you can.
