Rush Snakes And Arrows Live - New DVD From The Rock Icons
Chapter 2 : Rush Snakes And Arrows - Live From Rotterdam
On November 28th, 2008 the rock band Rush will release the three disc set, Snakes and Arrows Live taped during their 2007 and 2008 Snakes and Arrows Live world tour. This will be the band's third live disc in five years, following the Rush in Rio DVD taped during the 2002 Vapor Trails world tour at a gig in Brazil and 2004's R30 DVD which comemerated the groups 2004 Thirtieth Aniversary Tour.
The first two DVDs of Snakes and Arrows Live were taped during the first run of the group's Snakes and Arrows Tour over a couple concerts on October 16th and 17th of 2007 in Rotterdam. The songs played during this concert covered the band's illustrious career. The band opens with a blazing performance of the song "Limelight" from the group's acclaimed 1981 album, Moving Pictures. This is then followed by songs off their 1982 album Signals and the group's 1978's Permanent Waves. Throughout the course of the performance the band touches upon four decades worth of songs. Although many classics are performed throughout, Rush doesn't just depend on their past alone. Nine of the 27 songs showcased are off of the groups latest studio effort, 2007's Snakes and Arrows. DVD three has additional video of Rush performing during their Snakes and Arrows Tour taped in Atlanta while on the 2008 segment of the tour. Also showcased in the Snakes and Arrows Live DVD set are special outtakes and behind the scenes footage. Whether you have just found out about them or are a long time fan of the group, there is something here for everyone and by judging by their last DVD releases, this will not be a disappointment!
About 21 high definition cameras were put to use in the filming of this show in 16x9 widescreen format. Both DVD and Blu-Ray formats will be obtainable on the day of issue. This DVD set collector’s grade packaging and a option of Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound or PCM Stereo that will give you a incredible sounding experience, the show was mixed by familiar collaborator Richard Chycki (Aerosmith, Mick Jagger). The length of the video is more then three hours.
