Once there was a little girl
Each night, after her Mother and Father had sent her to bed, she would sit bolt upright, in the dark.
She would stare at the swirling patterns, the dark yet colorful forms that floated around her bedroom.
They were red, purple, yellow and black.
She was afraid of theses forms, yet mesmorized by them.
"If I'm starring at you.." she would whisper, only loud enough for the forms to hear. "If I'm starring at you, you can't hurt me. You can't get me."
The forms would laugh at this little girl's logic, knowing all the while that it was true.
"Is that so, my dear?" They would answer, floating around her, covering her eyes till all she could see was a dark, yet colorful haze
"Yes, it is so" She would boldly reply, still starring through the haze at her blank grey wall.
She could hear them laughing
Laughing at her
"You know its true!" She yelled into the colored blackness, in the scariest voice she could summon.
With one last chuckle, the forms floated away behind her chest of drawers, where they hid in the daytime. "'Till tomorrow night, my dear....."
"You can't watch me forever"
