~~Bakura's Point of view~~ Once again there is a large door in front of you all. It has nothing written on the outside like the last one did. This one is just painted Black, you cant even tell what the door is made out of its so dark, or even where the door knob is for that matter. You see Sam trying to find a doorknob of some sort and you try to help her out. Feeling the cool groves in the dark wall. After what seemed forever I heard a Click and looked over to where Sam was standing her hand on the door, you watched her push it open ever so slowly. You squinted your eyes a bit ready for the blinding light to hit them. You were surprised when they never did, it was Dark inside, about as dark as the deepest parts of the shadow realm you take a step closer and then it hits you. The smell. The smell of rotting flesh, it smelled so bad that it made your nose crumple up and your eyes water. You gulped and tried to get used to the smell, you knew you'd be living with it for a while. Sam stands up and hands you and marik a flashlight, you smile and think about how smart she is. She turned her light on and pointed it out in front of her you turn your light on and make its path join hers, so that it makes the light a bit bigger. After about 50 steps you feel a slight wind, like something had just passed you very quickly. You look over your shoulder but keep the beam of light in front of you, it seems like theirs nothing there but about 25 steps later you hear the door you entered from slam shut. You realized at the same time you heard someone on your left jump that there was absolutely no turning back now. The three of you keep walking…. and walking…and walking……. Eventually you find just walking in the dark boring and you decide it would be good to take in a bit of your surroundings. You let your flashlight and eyes stray to the walls for a bit. You see common things for inside a pharos's tomb. Boxes and Crates filled with riches to "help him in the after life" you have to keep very good control of your slippery fingers so that you don’t take anything. You were here for one thing and one alone: his name. Passing all the goodies you start to reminisce of all the good times you had with your two other companions robbing tombs, you really had quite the life in the good old days. That’s why when you saw a human body you gasped and ran into Sam. It takes her a second to realize what made you jump but when she does she falls back into Marik. The domino effect is almost instant. Sam fell into marik who fell into another mummy who fell into another mummy who fell into another mummy. You look at the painting on the wall behind your fallen friends and start to read it to yourself. The words on the wall say that the Mummies are there to protect the pharaoh from ANYONE but himself. The only way to awaken the mummies is to touch them and then speak. Once they lock onto the sound of your voice there will be no stopping them, they will do whatever it takes to protect their beloved pharaoh, and the mummies can awaken other mummies so all it took was for the intruder was to touch one. You gasped knowing you had already touched at least 4. You realize this all within a few seconds, in the same few seconds you see Sam looking around where she fell into a mummy you rush to her side and put your hand around her mouth, thank Ra you did because she just inhaled like she was going to scream. You look over to marik and mouth to him " do NOT talk pass it on" You knew he got the message because when you were training together you had all learned to read lips, for a time like this. Sam looks over to marik and your heart sinks just a bit, wishing she would have looked to you, but he must have got the point accost because she relaxes a little and you help the two of them up.
You all start to speed walk to the other side of the room, if your theory was correct the mummies wouldn’t be a threat if you could escape this chamber with out waking them up. When you get to the other side of the room you search for the door, to your dismay there is none. You start to feel up the wall once again to try and find a door handle or something. After a bit of searching a piercing scream runs thru the darkens and you think "shit were screwed" you turn to your left to find Sam face to face with a mummy, you smirk a bit as her tutoring from back then kicks in and she places a magnificent kick to the Mummies stomach. You feel pride in her as you feel a pair of bony hand tighten around your neck. You grab the hands and pull there fragile, it makes since they have been decaying for quite some time. The mummy pulls free quickly and you get into a fighting stance. You punched its head full force and let out a small "humph" as you hit its head. You watch it go spinning across the floor, seeing the mummy is busy for a second you look over at Sam. She's looking at you and you smile at her showing off that you just took off some guys head, but then you think about it again…it’s a mummy so cant he just find his head and come back? You take a few steps forward and Kick the mummy you fought with before so now he's on the ground, you stomp on him, breaking ever limb apart. You look back to the way you came and your mouth almost drops open. There are at least 100 more mummies possibly more right in front of your eyes. Finally the others seem to realize the danger their in because Sam runs to the wall and starts patting it trying to find a way out and you hear Marik whisper "holy shit…" Which kinda annoys you because you were suppose to stay quiet, but since all these mummies were after you I guess letting them hear your voice really didn’t matter anymore because it took that to wake them up. You sigh; you were starting to get a head achy back in to be able to keep they away from Sammie. You whisper "Sam keep looking for the door me and Marik'll keep these guys busy. Find it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, the quicker we get out of here the better." The mummies get closer and closer and soon they're right on top of you. You start kicking and punching in any random direction hitting anything you can get your hands on. You hear Sam yelling to you " hey I think I found something on the wall here." You hear Marik saying " A little busy cant you figure it out for yourself?" you smirk again thinking about how much that little comment most likely pissed her off. Then you hear it, Sam her voice in panic yelling your name. You spin around as fast as you can towards the sound. You see her trapped in the arms of a mummy running towards the way you came. " SAMMIE!!!" you yell trying to get past the zombies that were surrounding you. You struggle and wiggle and just manage to get one of your arms past the mummies. You reach it out towards Sam she's trying as hard, maybe even harder, to reach you. You push just a centimeter more and you manage to touch the soft tips of her long fingers, when a mummy comes up from behind you and whacks your arm down.
You watch her helplessly fade into the distance. You hear Marik saying " hello? Bakura a little help here?" You snap out of it and look over at marik who was surrounded by mummies and then you realize that mummies also surrounded you. Once again you start blindildly hitting them in a rage of anger at them for taking your Sam away from you. You kick and punch and listen to the sounds of bones breaking but no matter how hard you try they just keep coming at you. After about 15 minutes of blind rage, your head starts to clear out. "Okay" you, think to yourself "So I've been attacking them with brute force along with marik and that is defiantly not working. They just keep putting themselves back together again. What can I possibly do different that will make them stop regenerating?" One of the mummies steps on the flashlight that you dropped when they first started to attack you. It breaks the glass part and the bulb too. A small spark emits from it and catches the mummies bandage on fire. You watch as well as you can while battling the other mummies how this one struggles to put out the fire watching it consume the mummy, turning it into ashes. Then it hits you "ashes cant come back from the dead." You test this out on the mummy burning you step in the pile of ashes that was once a mummy and… THAT’S IT!!! Until next time!!
