An {E}mo Twin and A {R}ocker Twin's Love Story {{CH 20}}

I woke up screaming again for the third time in the last twenty-four hours. Matt was immediately giving me my inhaler when I started having trouble breathing. When I caught my breath I looked at Matt.

"Matt, I'm never going to get any sleep with these nightmares. It's like the more I sleep the less actual rest I get." I was getting frustrated, these dreams were keeping me from staying sane. They felt so real, it was scaring the shit out of me. When I'm scared I feel like I'm weak, and I can't stand the feeling of being weak. I will not let anything make me feel weak!

"Do you think it would help to keep your mind off of it?" He asked moving the hair out of my eyes.

"I don't know. It wouldn't hurt to try." I said sighing and closing my eyes. I was so exhausted, I could have passed out from lack of sleep.

"Ok, is it ok if I be a guy for a second real quick?" He asked smiling a little. I looked at him confused and shrugged.

"Ok." He looked away with that smile still on his face and started making circle on his pants.

"Do you think, I don't know, maybe...making out would make you forget about it?" He asked trying to keep his smile from getting out. I looked at him and laughed.

"Matt." I laughed.

"What? I asked." He said laughing now too. I looked around but Matt was blocking my alarm clock with his big sexy head.

"What time is it?"

"You're changing the subject." Matt said losing his smile. "I'm sorry I was just trying to help you take your m-"

"Matt! I'm not changing the subject you big goofball! The time has something to do with your question!" I said laughing. He sighed and looked behind him.

"Um ok, it's 12:34. But what does that have to do with my question?" He asked still obviously confused. I smiled evily.

"Cause that means Tyler's asleep." I said getting closer to his face. He furrowed his brow in more confusion.

"So?" I sighed at the fact that he still didn't get it. The guy I'm in love with is retarded...oh well.

"So he won't come in here to see what we're doing. Duh." I said raising my eye brows like it was obvious. Which it was! His mouth formed in the shape of an oh and he smiled. I slightly laughed at him and kissed him. He looked at me and pretended to be offended.

"Oh, wrong move missy. Never laugh at me when we're on a bed in a dark room, alone and everyone's asleep." He said smiling evily and pulling me closer. I laughed again.

"Why not? It's fun." He smirked.

"I'll show you." He whispered and then started kissing me.

It was 3 in the morning and Matt was asleep beside me, I wasn't asleep because I was afraid to sleep. They keep getting worse and everytime they feel more real. I'm afraid if I go to sleep and I have
another dream I won't wake up, what if next time it really is real? I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and just stared at myself. My eyes were bloodshot and had bags under them from not sleeping. I sighed and splashed some water in my face to keep from lashing out and breaking something. I walked down stairs and got a bowl of cookie dough ice cream. A few minutes after I had sat down Tyler and Aubri came down the stairs into the kitchen. I didn't look up from my bowl and just kept swirling it around.

"Hey baby, what are you doing up?" Tyler asked.

"Couldn't sleep." I said in a monotone still not looking up. He furrowed his brow in confusion and sat down beside me.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, um what are you guys doing up so late...at the same time?" I asked totally getting rid of the monotone so they wouldn't suspect anything.

"Oh well I was awake because Tyler fell asleep beside me and he pushed me off the bed in his sleep, and he is awake because I pushed him off the bed." She said glaring playfully at Tyler.

"Hey, it's not my fault you were taking up the whole bed, I was just moving you to where I wasn't getting squished by you." He said laughing.

"Tyler Craven Hawthorne, are you calling me fat?!" She said offended, only I couldn't tell if she was serious or not, but it was funny.

"Maybe I am, Aubri Asuka Hawthorne." He said smiling. "What do you think Kaya Rain Hawthorne?"

"What are we going by full names or something now?" I said taking a bite out of my ice cream.

"I don't know she started it." He shrugged and pointed at Aubri.

"Ha ha you're hillarious. And I am not fat, if any one's fat it's you, Tyler....or Kaya." She whispered the last part loudly as I washed the remaining ice cream out of my bowl. I wasn't in the mood for her so I turned and glared my 9/11 glare at her she just smiled and waved innocently. I don't like it when people smile so I threw my bowl at her. Damn, she ducked. It shattered loudly against the wall. She stared at me wide eyed and I just smirked.

"Damn, K, you missed!" Tyler yelled and started laughing. Aubri glared at him.

"I won't!" Aubri yelled running after the already running Tyler. I sat down in the living room to watch this lovely sight. Matt and Damien came down stairs.

"What the hell is going on down here?" Matt asked still half asleep.

"The usual." I said yawning. He and Damien sat down on each side of me.

"Told you. You made me come down here for nothing." Damien said laying his head in my lap and immediately falling asleep. Matt just looked at me as I yawned again.

"You still didn't get any sleep, did you?" He asked looking at me worriedly.

"Nope, but don't worry about it. I'll be fine." He raised his eye brow at me, I smiled to try and reasure him. I don't think it worked to well but he dropped the subject. I saw Tyler and Aubri headed for a table with a lamp on it so I covered Damien's ears so it wouldn't wake him when it shattered. Sure enough three seconds later the lamp fell and broke loudly. Matt smiled at me and put his arm around me. He kissed my forehead and put his head on my shoulder. I leaned my head on his and played with Damien's hair. Aubri tackled Ty right in front of us and soon they got tired and both leaned against my legs and fell asleep. I tried to stay awake because of my dreams but with all of my friends around me I felt comforted and fell asleep.
