Am I pretty enough?
Cali walks slowly up to Andrew-her crush. The guy that she thinks she is in love with.
"Hey Andrew." Andrew looks up slowly and nods.
"Hey."
Cali looked down nervously twisting in her fingers. "I have something to tell you."
Andrew leaned against the bricks of the school and shrugged, "And that is?"
"I....I think Ireally l-like you." She hoped with all her heart that he's liked her back.
Andrew sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, "I don't exactly feel that way." And he walked away hoping to get away
Cali almost started to cry, but he didn't tell her why. Maybe he was dating someone and he didn't want to break up?Cali heart lifted and she smiled. I'll find out.

Every day Cali would walk up to Andrew and ask why and each day he would shake his head and walk off...until one day...
Cali walked over to where Andrew stood alone. "Why don't you like me?"
Andrew looked up and growled, "You want to know why? Because your as ugly as fuck! Who would want to date someone that ugly? I wouldn't have half the guys with enough brains would agree so leave me the fuck alone!"
Andrew walked away and didn't look back.
Cali looked down at the ground trying in vain not to cry, but it failed. Tears began to stream across her face as she slowly began to walk home until her phone rang.
"Hello?" She held the urge to sniffle.
"Hey sweetie, can you come home now. Your brother's on his way and I think he would love if you were home to see him."
"Ok mom."

Cali stared at the mirror as she washed her hands. Looking for every imperfection she could find on her forsaken face. She sighed as tears came down; she stared the small knife lying every so innocently on the sink.
She picked it up and looked into the mirror. It's the right thing to do...right?

"Mom? Where Cali? She's been in the bathroom forever and I'm getting hungry." Alex, Cali's older brother patted his stomach.
Jane (Cali's mom) sighed and stood up, "I'll go get her."
She climbed the stairs and knocked on the bathroom door. "Cali, sweetie are you okay?" Silence.
Jane opened the door and screamed.
Cali was lying on the floor with gashes all over her face and neck. Her pulse was already gone but the gashes kept on bleeding. On the mirror writtening in neet handwriting with a crimson colour were the world, "Am I pretty enough, now?"
I take no credit for this...I read something along the basics of this and made my own. The moral meant a lot to me about people believing they aren't pretty enough. Maybe you'll realize how some words cause more than tears.
