I woke up to the sound of a horn being blown. I almost fell of the bed I was lying on.

"Get up! You sissies! We got work to do!" Solo yelled. I groaned and rolled my eyes. It had been 5 days since Leo's return and he, Will, and I were in the rebellion training base. I put on a white tee-shirt, cameo pants and brown heeled boots. I pulled my hair up in a pony tail and fallowed the guys into the open grounds. I was the only girl among the group.

The last woman that had been in the rebellion was Leo's mom and she was killed.

That was the reason why Leo put up bloody murder when his father said that I was going to be training in the rebellion and be one. Every time he looked at me he would look sad and shake his head. I knew he didn't want me here but there was more to it.

"Ok. Will the two top fighters step forward. MirLa." I stepped forward. "Leo." Leo stepped up. We glared at each other.

"And watch the sparks fly." Will said behind us. We both turned our heads and glared at the brown haired boy. He laughed. Leo and I groaned.

"Ok. Today we are going to do a classic hand to hand combat fighting. That means no magic MirLa." The teacher warned. I was the only one who needed it. I rolled my eyes.

"Fine." I said. I looked at Leo. "Don't expect me to go easy on you." I said. Leo smirked.

"I have something to prove to you don't I? So don't expect me to go easy on you either." he said.

"Well bring it on shrimp!" I mocked. The people gasped.

"Well I want you to try witch!" My jaw dropped and there were louder gasps. I grinded my teeth. "MirLa... I'm so sorry I didn't mean to. I spoke without thinking." he said. Worry was flashing into his eyes. I clenched my fist tightly.

"You know what?" I asked. I walked calmly over to him. I looked up into his panicking face. I gave him a hard punch on the cheek knocking him to the ground. "Don't let your opponent get too close moron." I said. Leo got up and rubbed his cheek in pain.

"I so f***** disserved that." he said. "Damn that was powerful." I cracked my knuckles.

"Oh don't worry there is more were that came from." I said. My knee went up to hit him straight in the gut. He bent over groaning in pain. "You are so lucky I don't have a knife on me."

"Or you would have done what?" he asked.

"Gutted you." I said and threw my fist at his shoulder. He caught it and pushed me back forcefully. He chuckled.

"Leo! Try not to fight to the death!" Will cried.

"Shut up loser!" Leo and I snapped back. Will chuckled.

"Whatever you say." He said. Leo and I quickly came rushing at each other. Our fist collided ad sent us back a step or two. I tried to kick him; he blocked me. He tried to punch me I blocked him. That's the way all our fights went. This was practice watch the two top students fight then with your partner fight. I and Leo were partners and the best fighters. When you put me with a staff and him with a sword... we become deadly weapons of mass destruction. And we liked it. He was the social guy while I was the touch me and you die girl. The exact opposites. I was the yang and he was the yin. In half an hour we were still fighting. Solo had to get in between us to stop us from going on. We growled at each other for a sec and stopped.

"No! We want to fight!" We whined.

"Save it for the enemy!" Solo barked back. We growled at each other more loudly.

"Curses." We mumbled. We went home and continued there. Will grabbed a bowl of popcorn, grabbed a chair and watched us argue.

"If you weren't such a moron we would have to deal with our consistent arguments!" Leo snapped.

"If you weren't such a spoiled brat you mean?!" I snapped back. Will was just laughing enjoying the show. Suddenly I heard chimes.

"War drums." I murmured. I was going into a daze.

"Zantaria."

"Blood." I pulled my arms to my chest.

"Oh my god!" Will said. "Leo get MirLa to her room! I'll clean up all the witchcraft stuff in the house!" I felt Leo pick me up.

"MirLa there is no blood." He murmured comfortingly. "No blood. No bodies. No death." he reassured. "Your mother is ok." I suddenly had a flashback.

We had been walking for what seemed like months. We found ourselves at a bridge. It was made out of shear crystal.

"This is awesome!" Courtney said. Aunt Jenny looked at the inscription on the bridge.

"It says only one person can pass the bridge at a time." Then her face paled. "The person must face his or her worst fear while passing this bridge." She turned to us. "We don't have any other choice. We need to pass this bridge." she said. "I'll go first. Leo. Ray watch the girls." she said. She stepped onto the bridge. At first she seemed ok. Then she started shaking.

"Aunt Jenny?" I asked.

"She's ok." Leo told me. "I promise." Aunt Jenny dropped to her knees crying.

"Aunt Jenny!!!" Aquara, Jamie and I cried out. She got back on her feet.

"I'm ok girls. I'm ok." she reassured us. Her voice though told us something else. She was scared half to death. She pressed on and crossed the large bridge. "Ok." she said. Then we saw her sigh in relief. "MirLa. Your turn." I took a hesitant step forward. Everything went very well until I heard my sisters screaming in pain. I looked behind me to see Zantaria killing them. Then I saw Leo standing in front of me defensively.

"MirLa run." he told me.

"No!" I cried. "Jamie! Aquara!" I cried. I looked at Aunt Jenny who was on the ground died. A pool of blood surrounded her. "Blood." I said and backed up. Another body appeared. My mother's. She was covered in blood. I heard Leo cry out in pain. I spun around to see Zantaria stab him in the chest with a sword. "NO!!!" I cried.

"MIRLA!!!" I heard a distance voice call out. I fell on my knees and grabbed onto Leo's body.

"No! No!" I begged. "Give him back. Don't go please! Don't leave me!" I begged crying onto his chest. I looked up at Zantaria. "Why?! Give him back! Please! Kill me and give him back!!!" I said.

"MIRLA!!!" Arms were thrown around my body. "I'm right here. I'm ok. We're ok." Leo. Fresh tears stained my face. I grabbed onto his thick jacket and held him tightly. The images changed and swirled. They became chaotic. A dark force became visible. "MirLa. Come on let's get off the bridge." he said. I grabbed his hand as he began running and before that dark thing could get us we landed on the other side of the bridge with a thump head first.

"Ouch." I whined. Leo looked at me.

"Are you ok?" he asked.

"I'm ok." I looked into his blue eyes. "Are you."

"I am now. You gave me a heart attack." he said. I smiled weakly.

"I saw my mom. Dead." I said. Aunt Jenny bent down and hugged me.

"It's ok. I saw the same thing. She's ok. Your mother, my sister, she is ok." she said.

"How can you say that? I saw her corpse. Her blood." I froze again. "Blood." I hated blood.

"There is no blood." he said. "All that blood you saw, you saw 5 years ago." he said.

"I DON'T CARE!!!" I said.
