Dan parked in front of the doors then drove off to the garage as I stretched out my legs from the long ride home.

“Who knew that staying in a limo for what seems like days would be so exhausting.” I stated.

“Seriously, let’s get some rest.” Aidyn said, holding my hands then teleported us back to our bedroom. Without even bothering to change out of my formal clothes, I flopped on the Temper Pedic and doze off with Aidyn by my side.

“Katie. Wake up, we have to go to the doctor’s.” I whispered to Katie as she stayed asleep on the bed, looking completely relaxed. I hated waking her up from her deep sleep like this, but I had to today. Today was the day, we were going to find out if our baby is a boy or girl. I just know that our baby’s going to be a boy. I just know it; I can feel it in my veins.

“Five minutes.” Katie muttered, as she turned herself around and her back facing me.

“Come on Katie. Wake up.” I whined, impatiently.

“Five minutes.” She repeated. I let out an aggravated sigh then got off the bed, to the edge facing Katie.

“It’s Friday. We get to find out the baby’s gender today.” I said in a sing-song voice.

Her eyes instantly opened then she ran to the closet to get changed.

“Five minutes!” she yelled from the closet then ran in incredible speed inside the bathroom to brush her teeth and comb her hair.

“Done.” she said with happiness then ran towards the door, gripping me along with her.

“So now, you’re awake and ready.” I grinned.

“Well I forgot that it was Friday, not come on. Can you go any slower?” she complained, dragging me. I rolled my eyes then teleported us to the front yard with the waiting limo and friends inside.

As we got inside, we were greeted by warm welcomes of Dan, Sarah, Anna, Shawn, and Nick.

“You excited to find out?” Sarah said with eagerness and happiness.

“Well duh!” Katie giggled.

“Then let’s go!” Dan smiled then drove out the front gates and down the blacktop road towards the portal leading to the vampiric kingdom.

After a couple of minutes passed with us chatting and laughing, Dan turned a corner behind a local grocery store then pressed a button on the limo opening the portal that was invisibly and physically hidden unless we had the secret code, key, or button to open it. Everybody looked out the window as the grocery store was disappearing and we suddenly appeared on another road, a dirt path one, with huge lush of trees surrounding us.

“We’re close to the hospital.” I smiled at Katie, holding her hand and giving it a small squeeze. She smiled back at me showing off that perfect smile. That only made my grin turn wider, seeing her happy and excited, just as much as I am.

A while later, we finally arrived at the hospital. With eager steps, we all walked out of the car, including Dan, towards the hospital doors.

The cool air rushed to us with the smell of elastic gloves and hospital food.

“Hello there,” a demon nurse at the front desk welcomed us warmly. She had jet black curly locks, bright apple green eyes and looked to be around her mid-thirties. But as a vampire, I understand that she must be quite older than that. A couple of hundred more or so.

“Good morning ma’am. We have an appointment with Dr. Gerald today.” I smiled back at her.

“Oh of course, King SuFluer. You’re right on time.” she said brightly then led us down the white hallways to a large cream door with a large amount of expensive equipment inside.

“Dr. Gerald, King SuFluer and Queen SuFluer is here for you.” the nurse stated. He looked up from his paperwork to smile wide at us.

“Oh of course. Come in, come in. Thank you Holly.” he said towards the nurse. She smiled at him then left the room, back to the front desk.

“Now, there. Why don’t we get started, shall we?” Dr. Gerald smiled as he waved Katie over to sit down on the chair. She did as he said then with a wave of his hand, the lights were turned off then the monitors and screens turned on, being the only light source in the room.

I watched as he put some clear blue jelly on Katie’s bare stomach. By observing, I then noticed that her stomach has gotten a whole lot bigger than last time I saw it. Which was only a week or so ago. Vampire babies sure do grow fast.

Dr. Gerald then took out the handle for the ultrasound and rubbed the jelly around and at the same time, looking at the monitor. Slowly, the black and white picture came into view as we saw the baby on the screen. I couldn’t help but smile wide with pure happiness. There’s the head. The arms. The legs. The fingers. The toes. The baby.

“Katie. There’s our baby.” I said happily.

“Oh my gosh.” she smiled.

The doctor moved the handle some more to take a closer look. As his hand stopped moving, a smile crept on his lips.

I couldn’t believe this. I can actually see my baby on this small monitor as we speak. Tears of happiness fought to escape from my eyes as I felt Dr. Gerald move the handle around my stomach to find any information that could tell him what the gender is. Then, he abruptly stopped and a smile formed.

“What is it doctor?” I asked, with a smile urging to come out.

“Congratulations Katherine. Aidyn. You’re going to have a baby boy.” he smiled, pointing on the screen the “proof” of having a boy.

That’s all that got me to let my happy tears fall out.

“Oh Katie. I’m so happy for you, sweetie.” Sarah gushed and hugged me with tears dripping down her cheek as well. Along with Anna.

“I’m so happy for you, Katie.” she said.

“Me too. I knew I was going to have a boy, I just knew it.” I smiled then felt my chin being lifted and my lips met with another pair. Aidyn’s.

As he pulled back slowly, a wide smile was plastered on his face.

“You have no idea how happy I am right now, Katie. No idea.” he said happily.

“Me too Aidyn.” I smiled at him, wiping away the tears.

“Congratulations, Katie.” Dan, Shawn, and Nick all said, each giving me a hug.

“Thank you everybody, for everything.” I said to them with pure happiness.

I don’t now what could make my life any better. I have a beautiful baby boy inside of me, great friends, a wonderful husband, and did I mention that I’m now queen of the vampiric kingdom? Yep, nothing can be sweeter.
