"Where is it?" Amelia screamed. "I need my homework! My teacher is going to kill me!"
"Everything is going to be fine. Just relax. Now, where did you last see it?" Xaviar asked calmly.
"It was on the desk in mom's office this morning."
"Kay then, I'll check there again," Xaviar said as he turned and walked out of Amelia's bedroom and into the dark hallway. He clicked the light on and it flooded the to way to his mother's office. He started rummaging through papers while he heard the constant noise of hi younger sister rummaging through drawrs in her bedroom. "Amelia!" he yelled for his sister. The soft pads of her bare feet hitting the hard wood floor was the only sound he could hear. She appeared in the doorway, peering at him curiously. He held up her homework and said, "Found it."
"Thanks," Amelia said as she walked over and grabbed it from him.
"You're welcome. Now go out to the bus stop, you don't want to be late," Xaviar said as he walked back to his room. He sat down on his bed and leaned against the headboard. He smiled as he thought of the girl he was soon to see at school.
When he arrived at school, a girl plaid in black and white walked up to him nervously. "Hey, I'm Tiana," she whispered. Whe she swayed her head, her pigtails would move back and forth, like two swings. He reached his hand out and twined his hand in one of her pigtails and watched her hair slip between his fingers and brush against her cheek. He could see her visibly blush.
"I'm Xaviar," He whispered so softly, any human would not have heard it, but then again, neither Xaviar nor Tiana were human, but they were once upon a time.
