Forget Me Not [A Tragic Love Story][Chapter 1]

“20 minutes George” I mumble to myself. I pause out the window to see George walking up my driveway. I sprint towards to door and fling it open, I throw myself at George.

“Hello to you too!” he chuckles as he hugs me. I step back.

“You idiot! You said 20 minutes its been nearly 50!! I’ve been worried sick!!” I hit him on the arm.

“Im sorry, I didn’t think you would worry” he apologises with a lopsided grin. I sigh and move aside so he can enter the house.

I stand there not moving, fists clenched,

He thought I wouldn’t worry!!! Men!

He collects my bags and puts them in the boot of a shiny red Volvo.

“Wow! Where’d that come from??” I scream running over to the glimmering vehicle, my earlier anger suddenly gone and replaced with joy.

“I borrowed it from a friend” he says shrugging as he re-enters the house. I follow him inside and find him in the kitchen gathering food in a plastic cool bag. I watch him for a while.

“Right were all ready to go”

I smile and he leads me outside again, I clamber into the leather passenger seat of his new car as the engine roars to life. We drive off together in silence.
