Reno One shot for Jessi-Skeleton
Rain pounded against the windows as Rufus Shinra wheeled down to the front lobby, where his highest rankings Turks were ordered to meet him. Everyone had arrived except Reno.
“Where the hell is Reno?! He is on very thin ice!” Rufus Shinra half screamed as the Turks all shifted uncomfortably on their spots.
Rude was the one to speak up “He’s on his way sir. Had some business to take care of”
Technically it wasn’t untrue as he was trying to lift the ban Seventh Heaven had given him as a result of many drunken nights. It seemed he had got his priorities in the wrong order, but that nothing unusual for Reno and he arrived after ten minutes.
“Sorry Sir, had to talk to someone about some business. New helicopter parts…” Now that was a damn lie, and Rufus Shinra knew it, but he just ignored the young red head.
“Now, today we will be getting a new member in with us, she will be teamed with Reno and Rude. Her name is Ariel and she comes highly recommended”
Elena grinned as the girl walked into the room slowly, sure to make an impressive entrance.
Her leather boots thudded gently on the ground as she stepped forward, her coat flowing freely behind her and her pink slices in her hair blew out from beneath the hood that masked her face. She stopped as she stood in front of the group and tuned her attention to Elena. “It’s been a long time”
“Too long Ariel!” Elena shot forward and hugged her old friend, causing the hood to fall back and reveal her beautiful delicate features, the likes of which are very rarely seen.
Your POV
As I hugged Elena my hood fell down and revealed my face to everyone else. “well, games up, they’ve seen me”
I looked at the guys standing before me. Tseng, I’d know anywhere after the amount of times Elena had described him whilst I had been away in SOLDIER. Rude, bald with glasses. You could tell that was him, the name matched the face perfectly but you never know! I could be wrong. Finally, Reno…
My eyes set on his as he stared straight at me and gave me a dazzling grin, cheeky yet charming. Elena let me go and I was free to introduce myself to the guys.
“I’m Ariel, nice to meet you all” I put my hand out to the first guy and sure enough I received a “Tseng”
The next guy, I was also spot on about “Rude” My heart thumped a little faster as I turned to Reno and put my hand out. “Reno, nice to meet Ya babe” He gave me a gentle kiss on the back of my hand. His lips were so soft and warm, I found myself grinning like a school girl, but managed to recompose myself before anyone could notice.

“I look forward to working with you all” I smiled and then turned my attention to that grumpy guy in the wheelchair I would be working for.
“Now Ariel, as I already explained you are to be put into a threesome with Rude and Reno. You should be in safe hands with them.”
A threesome you say?
I nodded and picked up the bag that was by my side and stood next to Rude and Reno.
“Take her to her room you two. 514” With that the grouch in the wheelchair left, leaving me with my new team mates.
“No fair! I wanted Ariel to be with me” Elena pouted playfully and then grinned as she leant close to my ear.
“But then again, I wouldn’t want to get in the way of you and Reno” My eyes widened and I gasped as I poked her in the ribs. “shut up Elena. I’m here to work, not to bed anyone” Elena rolled her eyes and walked over to Tseng, who was already walking off to what I assumed was his own room.
“ok, let’s take you to your room yo” Reno took my bag off me and walked towards an elevator.
“isn’t that the lazy way?” I asked as I walked beside him, he gave a slight grin as he looked over at me through the corner of his eyes “did you expect anything else?” I smiled to myself as I stepped into the elevator. Rude stopped at the doors and waved at us as they shut, closing me in alone with Reno.
It’s ok, just play natural, he won’t notice that you like him. You can get on with your new job in peace and not have any problems “So, what brings you to SHINRA after being in something as famous as SOLDIER?” Reno was looking straight ahead as he asked the question. I thought carefully before answering slowly, as if contemplating each of my words “All my friends, they died. Then SOLDIER fell through and I had nothing. Elena was the only person worth holding on to my life for. So naturally I thought it right to be near her” I looked at the floor as memories flooded my mind. The day I joined, standing with Genesis Angeal Sephiroth and Zack as we all had our picture taken. Receiving phone calls to inform me of Sephiroth going insane and being killed, Genesis M.I.A and Angeal was dead too. Then Zack, the last one to die, after all that he was killed because he wanted some freedom.
I looked up at Reno who had a worried look on his face “You need cheering up babe. How about we dump your stuff and go for a drink?” He put his arm around me and I felt the sting of hot tears falling onto my cheeks. I tried to hide my sobs but to no avail, they came out thick and fast like a river bursting it’s banks.
“Shhh hey, you’ll be alright yo. You‘ve got friends around you now”
I calmed myself down so that I was able to speak and looked up at Reno through teary eyes. “I think I could use that drink right about now” Reno smiled and looked up to doors of the elevator. “Man, this is takin’ forever” I looked at the buttons on the elevator and giggled slightly. “Reno…” He looked back down to me with confusion written plainly across his face “what are you laughing at?” I pointed to the buttons beside him “You didn’t push the button to go up” Reno turned to the buttons and blushed as he rubbed the back of his head and pushed the fifth floor button on the elevator wall.
After a small moment we arrived at the fifth floor and we walked over to my new room. “you wanna get changed first?” he offered as he opened the door for me, allowing me to enter first. “what are you trying to say exactly?” I teased as I took my bag off of him and removed my coat, throwing it on the sofa as I walked into the bedroom, wiggling my hips playfully at him “I look fine” I closed the bedroom door and looked around for a new outfit. “That you do” Reno muttered, barely audible through the door.
Reno POV
After a few minutes I got bored of standing around and licked the television on and slumped onto the sofa. “women take bloody ages” I muttered to myself as I watched nothing on the television, focusing more on Ariel and the pain in her eyes in the elevator before I had made a complete ass of myself. Even with tears streaming down her face she was gorgeous, and not one night stand worthy gorgeous. Fall head over heels in love gorgeous. Her features and body were all so perfect, and complimented each other so well. I don’t think I’ve seen anything so beautiful in all my life, and I’ve had a lot of girls.
After about half an hour the door opened and I stood up as switched off the television. I turned to her and was shocked at how much she had changed. I was wrong before, I hadn’t seen anything so beautiful in my life as this. She stood in front of me in skinny fit black jeans and shiny black, gangster style shoes with a white striped shirt with a black waist clincher. WOW
The smart and sophisticated look was definitely winning points with me. She raised an eyebrow at me, which was strangely alluring as she walked towards me and grabbed her coat. “Are you just going to stand there? Or are we going for that drink?” She put her hand out to me and I took it gladly, knowing that I was walking with the most beautiful creature to ever grace this planet.
Your POV
Reno had just been standing there with his jaw on the floor staring at me. I guess I did look different to when I strolled in with my SOLDIER uniform on. Shapeless, bland but comfortable. I extended my hand to him and we left my room hand in hand. It was a nice feeling to be holding onto someone and knowing that they were enjoying it as much as me, I assumed so anyway from the smiles he gave me when we caught each others glances.
We finally arrived at a bar called Seventh Heaven. It seemed nice enough, although it was in the slum area so I didn’t trust people, but I only had to give them the ‘steal from me and I’ll kill you before you notice me move’ look and they avoided us, even to the point in some cases of moving to the other side of the road.
“Well here it is, let’s go inside” Reno pushed the door open and let me through first, reluctantly letting go of my hand as we entered but was quick to put an arm around my waist. “Can’t let anyone else get their hands on you” he whispered in my ear as we sat down at the bar.
“Get out Turk.” A blonde guy with a SOLDIER uniform on, and what appeared to be half a skirt appeared from behind us and looked down at Reno. “Come on yo, tifa said it’s ok if I come back”
The blonde guy looked up at the bar girl who smiled and nodded at him “Fine. I’ll be upstairs”
I watched him leave and turned to Reno once he was out of sight “Who was that grump?” Reno laughed and replied “That’s Cloud, bit messed up in the head after his friend died” I nodded in acknowledgment of his answer and turned my attention to the girl standing in front of us “What can I get you guys?”
I looked at Reno and smirked, then back at the bar girl “Two of your strongest drinks please” Reno put his arm up and squeezed my side had he let go before? “That’s my kind of girl!” he exclaimed as the girl, who I assume was Tifa handed us two green drinks. Absinthe, my love.
We made quick work of them and the following four, before settling for something a bit lighter, the beloved Jack Daniels and coke. My friend, that had helped me many a night to forget my troubles. Here’s to you Uncle jack.
“I think we should go back Reno, it’s quite late.” Reno looked at me in shock and shook his head. “we can’t go yet! It’s still early. Besides, I haven’t got you drunk enough to kiss me” I laughed at him and stood up, or tried to so I could make my way home. “Spoil sport” Reno whispered to me as he grabbed my arm and put it around his waist, as he lazily flopped his arm over my shoulder. We stumbled along the road, giggling with each other and talking about the other Turks. “Tseng is a grump, and Rude is bald” I stated as we approached the doors to HQ. Reno chuckled and we stumbled up to the elevator. “NUMBER 5!!” he shouted as he pushed the button, obviously making a point of not looking foolish again.
We got to our floor and walked over to my door. I fumbled around looking for my key as Reno quietly said “Elena is in love with Tseng, but she will never tell him” I put my key in the lock and opened the door as I replied “Tell me about it, if you like someone you should just go for it” Excuse me?! WHAT HAPPENED TO PLAYING COOL AND NOT GETTING INVOLVED WOMAN my head shouted at me as I began to feel very brave. “I totally agree” Reno said as he leant in front of me, his forearm on the wall above me. He was so close that I could feel his breath hitting my skin and I shivered with anticipation. Surely but slowly he leant in closer and I closed my eyes as I closed the remaining gap, softly pushing my lips against his. The kiss was soft and gentle so I parted my lips to make it more passionate, as quick as a flash Reno slid his tongue into my mouth and rubbed it against my own, bringing his arm down to hold my waist and pull me closer. I wrapped my arms around Reno’s neck and the kiss got deeper and deeper until we both had to break apart, panting. Our eyes were locked on each other and we both knew what was going to happen.
We kissed again and Reno slid his hands down to my thighs, lifting me up so my legs were wrapped around him. He walked into my room and kicked the door shut with his foot as he carried me into the bedroom where we intended on carrying this on for quite a while.
The next morning.
I woke up to feel someone lying behind me with their arms wrapped protectively around me and I smiled to myself “what a night” I sighed to myself as I looked at my clock oh no…it’s 11am!!! We’re dead! “Reno...Reno wake up…wake up we’re late.” Reno groaned as he stirred and his eyes fluttered open as if he had been knocked out. “Hey gorgeous. Enjoy yourself last night” He smiled at me and I decided to play with him “Not really, we had way too much to drink, I should never have done that last night Reno I’m so sorry. I don‘t even have time for a shower!” I quickly got up and threw my clothes on, keeping my back to Reno so he couldn’t see my mischievous grin. “What? But I thought..” Reno looked confused, and hurt as I turned to him with a serious face. “No Reno. Now get ready before you get fired” Reno just sat there staring and I couldn’t keep a serious face any longer, so I jumped on top of him and gave him a quick kiss before getting back up “Do you really think I’d escaped the Reno charm?” I smirked at him as I walked into the front room.
“Bitch” Reno laughed to himself and flopped back into the bed.
