Running through the woods with the grace of her elven race she dashed toward the freedom the golden-green light a mile before her promised. She had been cooped in this small wood for too long in her estimation and she was completely ready to get out into the world and explore! Her 5' 6 lithe frame came to a stop, her long light blond hair covering her face from view for a second before it settled messily on her shoulders. Her electric blue eyes flashed with excitement as she went back over all the maps she ever studied, which was all of them thanks to her overzealous teacher; there were so many places for her to go! To the north and the lands of ice or to the south where the plains and fields lie. Or we move to the west where the battlefields of old are! She liked this idea and she sprinted off again place in mind. She had heard of a place where dark magic had infected the forest as well as the inhabitance. She had always wanted to go see this place for herself but her teachers had always warned her away but that only made her more determined to see it!

Walking silently through the forest trees this dark form seemed to slip through shadows as if he was one with the night. A flitting flicker of lighter color for a brief moment, a stir of sound as his cloak ever so gently brushed against the leaves of a nearby bush. His form was concealed by a heavy cloak of elven make, it's color a dark forest green in hue, slightly dapple with patches of lighter color to help with concealment. The hood of said garment completely covered this figures face, his sharp elven features hidden by shadow, and only the faintest trace of his colorless hair could be seen, but only as a wreath of lighter shadow within shadow. Stopping in his tracks, his form blends with the shadows about him so smoothly that it would be impossible to pick him out. With a grin, his sensitive elven ears would catch the sound of a person running. He had been traveling for some few days now and had been rather bored of the late, so perhaps now would be a good time to refresh some of his minor cantrips. Muttering a faint few syllables under his breath, his fingers fluttered through the intricate designs of a spell, before his form would waver and vanish entirely, his spell of invisibility falling over him.

She stopped at the brink of the forest and shielded her eyes as she walked into the world. as soon as her eyes adjusted she saw Shelta Valley, it was spring, the flowers were in bloom, the valley was dotted with all the colors from the flowers, a rainbow of greens, blues, yellows, red, and the occasional purple that slipped in from far away. The small elf was left breathless the old dusty pictures were nothing compared to the real thing. "It’s so beautiful..." she murmured before looking down at herself. She had chosen her hunting outfit a chocolate brown shirt that tied up the front under a jacket with brown arms and green sleeve edges, collar, and back, the jacket, that’s only purpose, is to keep her arms warm as it didn’t reach across her. She wore short, hip hugger shorts in the brown and green forest colors as the jacket. Buckled around her waist was a brown hip-pouch that she had stuffed full with her blow gun and array of darts as well as a couple daggers. She had a small bag strapped to her back filled with her clothing, some food stuffs, and a couple other essentials. She smiled "I’m glad I didn’t listen to Fedelo in my outfit choice, I would have been sweating and it really was quite unpractical. Besides I’ve never really liked those cumbersome dresses he forced me into." she looked around then rooted in her pouch for her compass. "Hmm okay that way it is." she would say after finding and studying the compass. She began running, shoving the compass back in as she ran. She stopped as she got to the road. "Hmm if I remember correctly this is the merchant’s road if I follow it I should find Terda village." looking around cautiously she stepped onto the road and began her journey westward.

Moving out from the shadows, he would make no attempt to conceal himself as he took to a leisurely jog, his foot falls remaining silent as he shadowed the source of the sounds until they found the merchant trail. With a grin, he would ponder his choices upon this route. He could do various things of course, but leaving the forest would leave him more vulnerable to sight. He could cast various cantrips and such, but to do so would dispell his invisibility, and as the female began to walk out upon the road, he noted that his chances of doing so without being noticed were growing slimmer and slimmer. With a reluctant sigh, his feet led him onto the soft packed dirt of the trail, his supple elven boots keeping his steps silent as he gained ground on the female. He would shadow her for some time, even coming ahead of her quite a ways to find a place where the road passed through a small copse of trees, his fingers flickering through the rapid movements
of another spell as soon as he entered, a bright splash of multi-colored light radiating out from his fingers in tendrils of stringy rope-like substance. Slithering across the ground, one of the ropes would stretch itself across the trail, it's ends seeming to merge into the tree's on either side that it used for an anchor. Another would coil itself upon the ground until it was a tangled mess, an unfortunate hazard to any wanderer who stumbled across it. The third and fourth ropes would twine themeselves together, forming an intricately web net of trip wires across a densely treed section of the trail. "Kai ialael", he mutters quietly, the ropes shimmering faintly before blending in with their surroundings perfectly. With a grin, his fingers would flicker through the motions of another invisibility spell since his first one had been dispelled with the casting of his magical rope trap. Grinning as he felt the cool sensation of the spell tingle along his skin, he would scale a nearby tree, coming to a comfortable rest in one of its branches to await the oncoming female.

She walked leisurely down the road, or so it seemed on the outside, her brain was on high alert, she knew better than to be so careless in this unpredictable world. Her eyes flitted from one side to the other taking in her surroundings. It was too quiet she could just barely hear some crickets in the distance and not a soul was in sight. –where are the animals? Shouldn’t there be some kind of animal? - She thought slightly worried. "Oh well," she murmured before going back to being vigilant. She smiled slightly when she saw the corpse of trees ahead –not to far now, and I’m sure it will be more interesting within the trees. - Still smiling her pace quickened. She reached the trees minutes later and stopped to take in all she could. There was a slight rustling farther in but she did not concern herself she figured it was just nature taking its course. Her steps slowed as she thought about the training she had with best friend. –I should probably put that training to use so it doesn’t go bad- her body shifted slightly as her steps became quieter, her movements more fluid, and her goal being not to make a sound, to be a shadow as she had been taught. Moving silently now she followed the path out of curiosity alone and a sense of urgency to get to her destination. Her surroundings began to get thinker making it harder for her to keep perfect silence. She cursed inwardly and concentrated harder on the task. She was oblivious of the ground other than the occasional glance to ensure she was still on the path.
