Listen to Your Heart Byakuya Story Chapter 1- Shinigami
Chapter 11 : Listen to Your Heart Byakuya Story Chapter 11-Hallucinations
Wow, haven't been updating for a while now, sorry peoples. I've been sick, and there's all these projects due. But it's holidays now in Perth so i'll have more time!
Byakuya proceeds to lead you to the cake, telling you to make a wish as he helped you cut the cake.
“I wish I was dead,” you mutter emotionlessly to yourself but apparently Byakuya heard.
“No!” Byakuya yelled and angrily slammed the knife down, finally having enough of this. “I promised your sister to protect you, to always let you smile!”
“Just let me die!” you screamed back and curl into a ball, you head cradled by you hands, in between your legs, shaking violently-A mental break down. You felt Byakuya kneel down beside you, his arms leaning on your shoulder gently.
“I promise, on this,” Byakuya states and out a beautiful sapphire hairpin. “This was my mother’s; it was the only thing she left behind. Happy birthday, I promise to look after you for eternity…”
You look up at him, surprised, and he puts the pin in your hand.
“Come on, have some cake because we have to find the clan soon,” he explains and extends a helping hand, which you take and pull yourself up. “You better start cheering up; Kasai will curse me if she saw you like this,”
Before you knew it you felt much better, well at least you weren’t on the brink of a mental overload. Also Byakuya seemed to have packed all the stuff you needed and you headed out to face your destiny…
Meanwhile on the walk there, you swore people were staring at both you and Byakuya, once you even hear the words “nice couple,” and nearly staggered back and tripped. And all through the trip you kept jerking your head to have a look at those people, but Byakuya didn’t have one single reaction. Was he somehow immune to this chatting behind your back thing?
When you had finally reached your destination you were sure you’d turned around 100 times, your neck was killing you.
“Well, there’s no going back, Mikomi,”
“Yeah, you’re right…” you sighed and took his hand gently, not expecting anything but something to hold onto. You didn’t know that deep down in your heart, you longed for someone that would always be by you, someone who would look after you, someone who you could tell your troubles to, forever…
After hiking up the steep mountainous area you finally came to flatter land, but that was after one whole day. It was night now; the stars twinkled in their own space while the moon glowed radiantly above you. You were tired, not to mention bruised-you had fallen down about 100 times during your trekking trip.
“Why didn’t you tell me it was such a long trip,” Byakuya muttered angrily.
“Yeah, so much for the ‘I’ll protect you for an eternity’ speech!” you retorted back, you weren’t exactly in a good mood after all though falls.
“Well, I was supposed to get you there, BEFORE the day of your birthday ends, but if that doesn’t bother you, then I don’t mind. But I hope our supplies last…”
“Okay, I got it. But can you find a place to sleep, I’m so tired,” you yawned and slightly leaned on Byakuya.
Through practically endless searching, you and Byakuya finally arrive at the entrance of a cave. But when you tried to enter it, vision filled your head. First was a girl, bit bigger than you. She had pure white hair that was very long, but it was stained red by blood. She was heaving a dying, blood wrenched Shinigami. Fear filled her eyes as she half carried, half dragged him to this cave…
You were suddenly pulled back to reality by Byakuya, shaking you and calling your name.
“Wha-what!” you croaked, shaking your head in confusion.
“Well, I was worried-you just stopped at the entrance, your eyes when black and dull. You scared me there,” he explained, still looking at you suspiciously.
“Oh, that’s nothing,” You mutter and trudge into the cave. You stack a pile of straw together and before your head hit the pile, you were asleep.
