“Who the hell is that?” Dante asked to no one in particular.
“I don’t know.” You answered before looking over at Amelia who like you and the other two was just as confused.
“It’s a shame my daughter that I have to kill you and of course the devil hunters as well, too bad for you all are going to hell.”
You narrowed your eyes as you suddenly got the hint, “Hatter.” You said through clenched teeth.
Dante and Apollo whipped their heads at you before looking all around them.
“Ah yes, did my rhyming give you the clue dearest Athena?”
“That and your aura is burning the air.” You replied still in a monotone.
“Who is the Hatter?” Amelia asked but before you could reply he materialized in front of her as she looked up in confusion.
“I am my dearest star, you’re father and just like you’re mother I will kill you.”
“Over Dante’s dead body!” you say while unsheathing Persephone and running towards him as the Hatter slowly and with a slight movement stops you with a single hand. He didn’t make contact with you that was for sure it seemed that he had an invisible force stopping you all together.
“You’re job is done here, my dear, now be gone.” He replied without even turning around to look at you. Just then you flew and were knocked into Apollo as the both of you tumbled across the roof top.
“I knew we shouldn’t have trusted you, you stupid freak.” Dante says while bringing out the girls into action. “It’s a good thing I’m around.”
“Show-off.” You muttered before getting up off Apollo.
“Athena the sword, get it out of my arm!” your brother shouted at you before you pulled it out. “Thank you.”
“Athena what’s going on?” Amelia demanded as you shrugged at her while Dante aimed at the Hatter.
“We’ve been screwed over.” Dante replied for the both of you.
“Not quite you did get paid after all it’s been wired already waiting for you to spend it.” The hatter replied while turning to the three of you.
“Why do you want to kill Amelia? She’s you’re daughter.” Apollo asked as he gripped his katana eagerly itching for a fight.
“Yes she is, but she’s dangerous to have around considering the fact that she released Rafael from his seal.”
“But I killed him so it was not such a big deal.” You say crossing your arms after sticking Persephone in the ground in front of you while standing in between the two half-devils.
“Of course it wasn’t Rafael wasn’t that much powerful because he hadn’t devoured a soul yet!” he suddenly shouted while grabbing Amelia by her hair and shoving her onto the ground in front of you. “Tell them.”
“Amelia-” you began as you stepped forward but Dante stops you with Ebony in hand as his arm cuts you off.
“Tell them dearest star.”
Dante glowered at him with an undying hatred, as you did the same.
“Athena, I’m sorry I released the guardians after I released Rafael. I was going to tell you but you were too kind to me and I regret it now.”
“Guardians?” you asked confused.
“Also known as the Seven Sins.” Dante answered while holstering Ebony and placing an arm around you protectively and possessively.
“I didn’t know the Seven Sins were guardians.”
“They’re demon guardians.”
“Oh.” You let out in a horrified tone of voice.
“I’m sorry.” Amelia said again as she was about to get up but the Hatter had stomped on her to lye back down, and this made you very upset.
Sure you and Amelia both hated each other to the max but she didn’t deserve this punishment even from her own father.
“Get off of her.” You growled and the hatter.
Dante and Apollo looked at you as though you had completely lost your mind, the hatter looked amused, and Amelia looked at you in disbelief.
“You do care for her even though she tried to kill you.”
“Back off.”
“You don’t seem to be phased that she let out the most dangerous of demons.” He responded.
“You don’t seem to be phased that I’m about to kill you very slowly.” You replied as you grabbed Persephone and went towards him.
He sighs, “Such an eager girl who is ready to die.” He comments before grabbing your wrist and shoving you back towards Dante who caught you just in time. Apollo made a dash for the hatter but he too was thrown back.
“Damn.” Apollo muttered.
“Guess it’s up to me.” Dante smirked while setting you down gently as he ran towards him dodging the freaky power until finally Dante tackled him.
“Show off.” You muttered.
“Athena!” Amelia screamed while running to your side as she noticed a dagger sticking out of your right arm.
“That bastard got me.” You smiled before pulling it out and throwing it to another place.
“Athena I think that dagger was poisonous.”
“Oh, well that’ll explain the dizziness.” Was all you said before falling back on your back unconscious.
