The Seventeenth Chapter: Thank Goodness Ino's Got a Plan! "W-what?" I asked, confused at the question. If I would have been looking closer, I would've seen how disgusted some of the others were at this. "You heard me, hm. You've gotta take the dare." I bit my lower lip but sighed anyway. What's the worst that could happen? Other than me loosing my first kiss, that is. Deidara rolled his eyes. I suppose he figured I was taking too long and began walking over toward me. Hinata, Ino and Temari looked over at me sadly. If they were stronger than the guys, they'd do something, but it was life risking. As the blonde male began to get closer, I suddenly realized how awful and mentally scaring this could be. 1 inch closer. 2 inches closer. 3 inches closer. . 5 inches closer. . 3 inches away. 2 inches away.... "INO! SAKURA! TERESA! TENTEN! TEMARI!" Deidara stopped and the four of us looked up. Someone was calling for us. The guys glanced at us and Deidara shrugged, about to try again when the knob to the back gate began to jiggle and open. "Forget it Deidara! We need to go!" Hidan huffed as he got up and began to leave. Tobi sighed but ran out too. Itachi and Kisame were matched at paces, and Sasori had to drag a groaning Deidara out. About 3 seconds later the gate opened to reveal quite a few shinobi. "Huh. You were right Ino... what a drag." Shikamaru sighed, sitting down in a seat across from the girls. Choji chuckled. "Hey, at least she sent out the warning in the shed, otherwise you guy may've been dead." "Or scared for LIFE!" Tenten yelled. They other guys came in and sat down as well. -------------------------------------------------- By now me, Tenten, Sakura, Hinata, Ino, Temari, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Kiba, Lee, and Haku were sitting around the fire pit, roasting marshmellows and singing really stupid songs. "Mm-ah, wen the little green frog one day. Mm-ah went the little green frog! Mm-ah went the little green frog one day and the little green frog went mm-ah mm!" we sang. By we, I mean everyone but Shikamaru and Neji. Partypoopers much. "Okay... anymore ideas? Of songs that DON'T suck? Please?" Neji begged. I laughed. "You don't even sing, Neji-kun." "True, Teresa-chan. But they get stuck in my head. And don't go around acting like you're better than me." I laughed. Tenten and Lee joined me too. "Ooo! OOOOOO!" Lee suddenly jumped up with his hand in the air. Neji inwardly groaned and smacked his head down. Tenten and I grinned. "Wassup Lee?" Ino asked. "How about we do the BEAR SONG!!" "I hate the bear song." Neji grumbled. "Come on Neji!" Tenten said. I rolled my eyes. "I agree with him. That songs sucks my will to live." Lee looked downcast. Some of the girls sighed. "Don't worry Lee. Just start it." "Yes! The other day!" "The other day," repeated everyone except myself, Neji, Shikamaru and Haku. "I met a bear!" Lee sang. Everyone who was siging, except Lee, screamed as the song was over. I laughed. "Huh. That song really is kind of annoying." I turned to look behind me and saw Haku sitting on the ground. "Hey! I wondered where you went! I wanted to talk to you." I smiled and sat down next to him, leaning against the fence. "Well I'm here now." "No! Haha. But, why did you come here? I mean.. everyone else is a Konoha shinobi and I didn't think they really knew you.." "Oh. Well Kiba and I had a project to do and we had overheard Shikamaru and Choji talking to Neji about you. I heard your name and we figured that we would come along and help if needed," he blushed slightly. I giggled. "Thanks Haku!" I hugged him. "Its really nice to have you back in my life... missed you." He nodded. Everyone continued singing and hanging around until about... 3 in the morning, when some worried parents came over looking for children. ----------------------------------- Shikaku Nara and his wife, Choza Akimichi, Lord Hiashi Hyuga and Lady Hanabi, Tsume and Hana Inuzuka, Emily Toruko, Gai Maito, Zabuza Momochi, and Shizune stood outside, either glaring at a child, or student, or worridly looking down at them. "Alright everyone. This is one of the biggest gatherings of shinobi and kunoichi, and we just want to know the truth." Shizune said. We all looked around at each other. The guys really couldn't say anything, and none of the girls wanted to step forward, so I took it into my hands. I stepped forward. "Okay.. so heres how it went. Me, Tenten, Temari, Hinata and Sakura were supposed to stay the night at Ino's tonight. Well then her parents left on a mission and we were alone. Then some of the Akatsuki came and-" "And invaded my house! They were actually just watching movies and stuff" Ino cut it. I then got the hint not to mention anything to detailed. "Uh huh! Then we were kinda freaked out so Ino faked going to the bathroom and sent out an alarm to Shikamaru and Choji," Tenten said. "Exactly. I got the alert and Choji and I met up. Along the way we found Neji and Lee training, and told them to come along," said Shika. "This happened in front of my house," Kiba added. "And we had ben doing a project and overheard, so we joined them." Haku nodded. "The Akatsuki left before the got here," Sakura motioned. "A-and then t-the boys decided t-to stay i-incase t-they came b-back," stuttered Hinata. "So yeah.. .thats pretty much it. We ddin't mean to alarm anyone!" Temari grinned. The adults rolled their eyes. "It was still very irresponsible!" Mrs. Nara said. "I would have expected one of you boys to tell an adult! Or you girls could have sent for us! Honestly!" "She's right! And you Teresa! I mean come ON! With your luck you could've been killed!" Emily said. I grumbled in my head. Shizune tried to calm down the furious adults. "Now come on everyone, its a tough situation! At least they're alive!" We nodded. "True. But, for safety, I vote we take them home." Gai said. "Yeah. Gai's right. Ino, you can come home with us sweetie. Shikamaru, you're sharing your room." Shika's mom said, and herself and Shikaku ushered Ino to go pack a bag and lock up her house before they left for home. "Yup. Choji we need to get home. Don't wanna worry your mother," said Choza. Choji nodded and waved bye. "Let's go Lee." Gai motioned. Lee obediently followed. (ME: No ones ever mentioned Lee's parents, but him and Gai are close so I'ma go with that) "Temari, I haven't talked to your brothers, but you should come with me and stay at the Hokage's palace until you go back to Suna. We'll drop off Sakura and Tenten on the way," Shizune mentioned. The three girls quickly grabbed their bags, which Ino'd brought out, and followed the Hokage's assistant. That left just me, Kiba, Neji, Hinata and Haku. "Haku. We're going." Zabuza said. Haku gave me a quick hug and then followed his master back to whereever they were staying. "Neji. Hinata. I'm extremly disappointed in you two. I expected more from a Hyuga. Now you will go home and think about what mistakes you have made before you sleep." Lord Hiashi said to the two ashamed kids. As they walked off Kiba leaned over to me. "A bit rough isn't he?" "Yeah.." "You have not SEEN rough Kiba Inuzuka!" Tsume called. She looked quite mad, and Kudomaru was at her side. "Same to you Teresa!" Emily showed, but when she got close enough she leaned down and hugged me. "Don't you dare scare me like this again Teresa Annalise Toruko. You know I'd die if you got hurt." I hugged my sister back. Hana whispered something to her mother, who nodded. "Emily, Teresa." We looked over. "You two can stay with us tonight, since your parents are out." "Thank you Tsume-san." Emily and I bowed before grabbing my stuff and following the three Inuzuka's, and five dogs. (ME: Yeah, Hana has three dogs. Apparently they are siblings from the same litter. Cute huh?)
