The Ursaring was only caught in the Pokeball, whether or not it'd stay there was a mystery. Valerie watched as the bing, bing, bing, pomm happened, but it didn't. Instead the PokeBall went bing, bing, bing poopfsh! and the Ursaring was free again. Aoi shrieked, but Valerie pushed one foot back and bent her knees.

"What? You didn't bother to battle it!?" shouted a voice behind her. Valerie looked back, watching some angry boy yell at her, but shrugged, brushing him off. No, she didn't bother to battle it, she was too busy focusing on not getting eaten. Though, right now she had bigger priorities than listening to some unknown child yell at her for no reason.

"Aoi! Dance!" she called instead to her Minun. She giggled as Minun hopped to the ground. Finally the little blue bunny Pokemon touched his feet to ground, which made her feel a little better, since the whole way he rode on her shoulder. She grinned stepping back as the Ursaring shook his head, a little taken aback by the PokeBall, but still strong as ever. It roared at the little Minun on the ground, Aoi lowering its head and glaring as it did. Pointing, Valerie shouted the first command, "Aoi, spin!" Aoi agreed, then sped forward, ducking its head as it tackled the Ursaring. Growling, the Ursaring fell backwards, feeling a knot in its stomach now where the little Minun had attacked, but it came up quickly, beating its chest, and threw it's arm down. "Morph!" Valerie sang, and Aoi dodged the hand, then a "Spin, again!" and Aoi again tackled the giant Ursaring. "Now --"

"Chimchar! Flamewheel!" shouted the male behind her. She turned, watching another unfamiliar Pokemon as it spun a wheel a fire and shot off at the Ursaring, landing a direct hit to its chest. "Now, PokeBall, go!" he yelled, and another PokeBall hit the Ursaring. It caught the Pokemon again in a string of red light, then fell to the ground. This time there was that bing, bing, bing, pomm, and the Ursaring was now his. But Valerie wasn't happy. She crossed her arms and puffed out her cheeks, just as Aoi did as they glared at this unknown male who had interrupted their battle. She was doing just great, too!

"'Scuse me, but that was my battle!" she yelled at him. He only shrugged, placing the Pokeball in his bag. "Why'd you do that?" she asked him, not really yelling, but still holding a little demanding tone over him. He looked up and blinked, then smirked.

"I'm sorry, did you say something?"

Valerie let her mouth drop. Was he serious!? No, he was kidding, he definitely heard her! She could tell by the smirk, but he was just insane. Glaring, she turned to face Aoi and allowing him to jump on her arm. "C'mon, Aoi, we're going?"

"You named your Pokemon?"

"Yeah, so?" she said, spinning around. The male smirked again, placing a hand on his hip as he called back his Fire Pokemon.

"Yeah, so, that's pretty pathetic," he answered back at her. She hissed, then shook her head. It was her Minun, she could call it by its name, and her Minun's name was Aoi. Nothing to it. She grinned, then turned around again, heading this time away from the forest she had found herself in, and toward the path that marked its way in the clear, as she had noticed they were no longer in that strange forest.

"It's pretty pathetic you intervene in peoples' battles," she answered him back. He only shrugged, unphased by it. It was a pretty lame comeback, but she couldn't think of anything else to day. She had to come up with quick and snappy, but quick and snappy just didn't come for her.

"You're Minun seemed weak anyway," said the bored voice of this male. Valerie hissed again. No one talked about her Minun and got away with it, not if they were saying anything good about it. But he wasn't. Aoi growled, too, in his small, high pitched voice.

"Mai, maimai!" he said. Valerie blinked at him, then grinned.

"Fine, let's battle!" she decided, pointing at the male.

"Muhu huu...We're in for a little treat," Angel cooed. Two Pokemon floated just on either side of his head, watching him as he pushed a small notepad into his back pocket, along with a pen. "Seems we're going to get a first had look at her battling skills, now won't we, Missy?" he asked, turning his head to look at Misdraevus.

"Misdrae," Missy answered, nodding, and Angel gave a satisfied grin. The Duskull on the other side of him protested, wondering why he wasn't including in this conversation between Missy and Angel. Angel smiled, looking again at his favorite, most love Pokemon that he so modeled his wardrobe after.

"Oh, you'll get your chance," he told the Duskull. "After all, Dusk, you have to meet her sooner or later in battle, yes?" The Duskull nodded happily, an evil grin stretching across his lips. "But first lets see how she works..." he finished.
