"So...are you sure you want to go through with this?" Sean asked slowly. "I'm not begging you to rush into this."

"I've got to do this." I explained. "The time is right...something inside of me needs to do this to you tonight."

"What exactly is going to happen?" he questioned nervously, fiddling with the hem of his black shirt.

"Well I'm going to have to bite you. I don't know how I'm going to bring myself to hurt you, but I guess I must. Now, just to clarify...you've got nothing planned for the next month, have you?"

"My band's on a two month break, its no problem at all."

"Good." I nodded. "In the month leading up to the transformation, your body becomes horribly ill and weak. You won't have the energy to do anything. How I managed to get through five live shows is anybody's guess."

I glanced out the window, the sun had almost set.

"I know that this is going to hurt you tonight, so I can only apologise."

Sean shook his head. "Don't worry about it. It's got to be done, and if then only way to do it is to hurt me, then hurt me you must. Do you need to take your clothes off now?"

I nodded, and undressed myself until I was completely naked. I then sat down, huddled on the floor and shaking slightly, just waiting for the change to take place.

"Where should I bite you?" I asked suddenly. "I mean, where's the place with the minimal pain threshold?"

"Go for the crotch."

"Sean!"

"Just kidding. Try my leg."

I nodded, and bit my lip as the transformation began; today it started in my upper arms. My arms grew skinnier, and my tattoos faded into my skin as my muscles grew slightly and dark, wiry hair grew over them.

I snatched hold of Sean's hands, not making eye contact with him. My feet began to stretch, and I cried out in pain as the agony spread over my entire body.

"Ian, don't worry! This is going to be the last time that you'll have to go through this alone!" Sean yelled in distress.

"Thanks for the reassurance!" I said as sarcastically as I could manage. My lungs clamped shut for a second before resuming their place in my wolf's torso, and I took in a deep breath of air.

I lay down flat on the floor, covering my changing face with my hands, which were still completely human.

"It's okay..." Sean cooed, stroking my back, which was now completely-wolf.

I groaned, and clamped my eyes shut, quietly crying out. My body was tense as my hands elongated for the final part of my transformation.

The pain suddenly ceased, and my body relaxed, slumping down onto the floor. That had been one of my worst transformations, and I needed time for my body to completely relax before I changed Sean. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply.

"Ian, are you okay?" Sean asked worriedly.

I shook my head.

"Do you need anything?"

I shook my head again.

"Bad transformation?"

I nodded. Sean was getting pretty good at reading my thoughts by now.

I stretched my body out across the floor and sighed deeply, taking deep breaths in and out.

"Let me know when you're ready, yeah?" he murmured.

I nodded and got shakily to my feet.

-

I walked into the front room, where Sean was watching the TV. I looked straight into his brown eyes and he stared back, knowing I was ready.

"Will it be easier if I take my trousers off?"

I shrugged; after all, I'd never had experience in changing somebody.

Sean slid his skinny jeans off regardless, and sat down on the floor, stretching his leg out for me.

I looked up at him, my eyes filled with apology, and slowly clamped my teeth into his leg.

My jaw tightened instinctively - the wolf inside me knew what he was doing - and a strange sensation filled my entire body. I was unsure whether it was a good or bad feeling.

Sean's eyes clenched tightly shut as I felt the blood dripping down my jaws, which suddenly loosened. I let go of Sean, and he groaned out in pain. A wave of guilt washed over me - had I done the right thing or was Sean regretting this?

"Thank you, Ian..." he murmured, and I smiled to myself as I left the room and got him an old towel to wrap around his leg.

When I got back into the room carrying an old pink towel, the floor was swimming with Sean's blood. He looked extremely pale as I helped him bind up his leg as best I could. He smiled weakly at me.

"Could you help me up to bed?" he murmured softly. "I feel exhausted...I need to rest."

He ran a blood-stained hand through his knotted hair and looked wearily at me.

"I know that you doubt the decision that you made tonight, so I want you to know that this was one of the things that I've desired the most. Now that I have it, it's one of the most amazing feelings in the world. Thank you, Ian."

I nodded once, and slid under his body that lay on the floor. His body slumped across my back and I carefully walked up the stairs to our room.

He got to his feet, climbed wearily into bed, and pulled the duvet over his face.

"Night, Ian."

I left him alone and slowly walked downstairs. I wasn't in the mood to go to sleep just yet, I was still quite awake.

I nudged the back door open with my nose, and walked about in the garden for a bit, until a weariness overcame my body and I fell asleep in the middle of the garden.

-

When I awoke the next morning, I was still in my wolf form and was lying in a heap on the grass. I got to my feet and stared up at the dim morning sky. The sun was going to rise at any minute, and I wasn't too fond of changing back outside, so I pushed the back door open with my nose and let myself back inside.

My paw began to tingle as I closed the door behind me, and I looked down as it shrank backwards and painlessly into a hand. My nose disappeared from view and my limbs shifted back to their original positions as the hair on my body shrank into my skin. My tattoos re-appeared on my skin once more as the hair on my head grew downwards into dark curly locks, back to the length it had been yesterday afternoon.

I got to my feet as the final changes went underway, and my senses grew slightly weaker. I put some white boxers and skinny jeans on, and then hurried upstairs to where Sean lay in our bed, already awake.

"Nice chest!" he commented, sitting up wearily in bed.

"Thanks..." I blushed, glancing down at my still-naked chest. I hadn't bothered putting on a shirt because my body was boiling hot as usual. "So how do you feel this morning?"

"Like shit." He stated simply. "My joints ache, I've got a raging temperature, and I feel too weak to move properly. But on the plus side, my leg seems to have healed quite nicely."

"I was exactly the same..." I murmured. "Don't worry though, you'll be as right as rain once this month is all over with."

"I feel like I can sense more things, and I'm getting an odd feeling inside me when you're near me. Is that normal?"

I nodded. "It takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you've been aware of it for a while, it sort of just becomes a sixth sense. Don't worry, Sean. I'm going to help you through this, every step of the way."
