I was sitting on my balcony railing, watching the gentle glow of the sunset fade into the horizon. I came there to escape my parents telling me that because I am the daughter in an aristocratic family, I'd have to make a legend of myself, like all the other Nakamuras before me. I let out a deep sigh and closed my eyes.
Eventually, I turned around and walked back into my room. I heard a knock at the door. "Come in!" I called. The door opened and Natsumi came inside.
"You okay Kara?" She asked with worry in her voice. She knew me for years and knew when something was on my mind.
"Nothing much. Just stressed." I said rubbing my temples with a futile effort to relieve said stress.
"Well, when I came through the neighborhood, I saw a flyer for a party later. Maybe you should go to wind down a bit." She offered, reaching into her jeans pocket and pulling out a folded piece of brightly colored paper.
Party of the year!
Come to the biggest bash happening Saturday from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am. Dance with friends, socialize, have fun!
Location: Traverse Town Park. BE THERE!
"Hmm." I said quietly, looking the flyer over at least three times before narrowing my eyes and looking up at Natsumi. She blinked a few times. I smirked. "Okay. Sure. Saturday's today right?" I asked.
"Yeah. But it's at least a good six hours till seven." She said. I nodded, and made a thoughtful expression. "This could be fun. I have a good feeling about this little shindig." I said smirking again.
Four hours later...
Natsumi was already dressed in a black short dress. The sleeves fell off the shoulders and to the waist was a silver butterfly broach. She was wearing white leggings underneath and black strappy heels. Her black hair was styled as always with the left eye covered and the rest draping over her shoulders.
I however, was still trying to decide. Being rich, I had many outfits to choose from, but it was just that. I had many outfits to choose from.
"Dammit! How hard is it to find one stinking outfit to go to a party in?!" I growled, making a face that made Natsumi giggle. "Hey, try this one." She said, holding out something in her hands.
I took one look at it and smiled widely. It was a white kimono top with long flowing sleeves. The pattern on it was silver and gold roses and around the upper waist was a black ribbon. It was coupled with stonewashed skinny jeans with a long black stripe going down the side of each leg. I put on a pair of wine red heels like Natsumi's and finally decided I was done.
"How long will it take to get there again?" I asked, quickly brushing through my hair.
"An estimated hour and a half." Natsumi said, twiddling her thumbs nervously. "Okay then, we have a pretty good amount of time then." I said smiling faintly.
I went out to my balcony and lowered down a rope ladder that I had. (I know a guy.) It reached almost completely down to the ground and Natsumi and I climbed down carefully.
At the party...
"Sora, aren't your parents gonna freak when they discover you aren't at home?" Roxas asked the brunette, raising an eyebrow.
"They won't find out." Sora said confidently, smiling widely. "I've snuck out tons of times before and I've never been caught." He said, putting his hands behind his head.
"You two okay?" A frail voice came from behind the two young boys. "Hey Kikomi. Yeah we're fine." Roxas said, putting a gentle arm around her small shoulder.
Roxas's eyes widened a bit, then he went back to looking at Kikomi. "What?" Sora asked.
"Two newcomers. They look nice." Roxas said plainly, still focusing most of his attention on his girlfriend. Sora turned around and saw The two girls. The girl with the black hair seemed cool, but he really caught interest in the fragile blond girl. She looked familiar.
"Oh my god...she's..." Sora tried to find the right word to describe her, but no really good ones came to mind right away. He smiled warmly and pushed through the crowd.

I looked around nervously. I felt like a stranger in my own town...how dumb huh? I saw the crowd parting slightly, and Natsumi left my side. 'Thank you for completely leaving me here to drown.' I thought, getting a small anger vein on my head.
When the crowd stopped moving as much as it did, I saw someone looking at me with bright sky blue eyes. He had the most interesting gravity defying hair you'd ever see and he had a very handsome face. He looked kinda familiar...
"Hey." He greeted when he reached me. I smiled. "Hey yourself." I said sweetly.
"I'm Kara." I said, holding out my hand. His eyes widened and his smile drooped a little. "Kara...Nakamura?" He asked, as if making sure of something. I nodded and kept smiling. "Yeah. Why ask?" I asked him. He took my hand and shook it gently. "No...real reason." He said, smiling warmly again.
"So...who are you?" I asked. I was sure I'd known him from somewhere.

Preview of CH2: "You mean, he's one of them?" I asked, making sure I heard right. Natsumi nodded solemnly. My eyes widened.
"But my family and his have been fighting for god knows how long." I said, putting my hand to my throat. It was dry, like it always was when I was upset. Right now, this moment couldn't get any worse.
