07. Shock and Triggers.

|Your P.O.V|

I sat down at the chair in the Chairman’s office. Kaname beside me and Chairman opposite me.

“So…Namida-san.” The Chairman said.

“Nami.” I corrected. “Call me Nami.”

“OK. Nami, what happened?”

I stared at him and sighed.

“Well, 8 years ago, my family was attacked by Rido Kuran. He wanted to kill me and take my power. In order to hold him off, my mother half sealed up my memories and my Vampire side. I couldn’t remember anything before Kaname-kun saved me. Over the years, the unfinished seal of my mothers had naturally died down. When Zero-kun…attacked Yuuki-chan, it triggered my memories and the seal broke.” I explained.

They took it in carefully.

“Kaname-kun…” The Chairman said.

Kaname nodded. He turned to me.

“Nami-chan, you’re going to be transferred to the Night Class.” He said.

I nodded and stood up. I moved gracefully to the door.

“Do I get to keep my dorm room?” I asked with a smile.

The “Yume-part” of me is still here.

“No. You will have to be transferred to the Moon Dorms.” The Chairman said.

“Come. I’ll tell you on the way.” Kaname said and led me off.

|Yuuki’s P.O.V|

“Zero isn’t here…neither is Yume.” Yori asked.

“Yeah…their…sick.” I said.

I stared straight at the table. {Yume is a Vampire…so is Zero. Zero…who hates Vampire so much… Yume…the closest person to me…Vampires…}

{What should I do?}

|Zero’s P.O.V|

I sat down on my bed. I picked up the picture of the three of us when we entered Middle School. Yuuki wrote on top of the picture:

Hooray! We’re in the same class at High School!

I stared at Yume…or should I say, Namida.

She looked so different from her Vampire self. Her hair was silver, like mine. Her eyes were happier, last night when she stared at me, her eyes where dim and sad. Her hair is also longer and is now sleek black. Her voice is also different. Before, her voice is solid and loud but now, it’s light and musical. She changed. How long does it have to take me to understand? She’s a Vampire…just like me.

I pulled out Bloody Rose and sat down on my bed.

{I’m a Vampire…I’m not supposed to live.}

Since you’re a prefect, I’m giving this to you just in case there is an emergency that something had gone wrong. This gun will not harm humans…but it will kill Vampires.

I remembered the Chairman telling me this when he handed it to me. I reloaded the gun and pointed it to my temple. I closed my eyes and was about to pull the trigger but then, someone tackled me before I could and I lay there on the bed. I opened my eyes to see Yuuki right in my eyes.

“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?” She shouted in my face.

“Nothing.”

“LIAR! YOU TOOK OFF THE GUN’S SAFETY CATCH!” She shouted again.

“Why are you here?”

She didn’t answer. I grabbed her hand and flipped over, so I’m on top of her.

I ripped off the bandage around the bite mark.

“Didn’t you hear?” I asked her. “The sound when I sucked your blood. With that sound in my head, you’ll never be safe around me anymore.”

I got off her.

“So, be careful.”

|Your P.O.V|

I followed Kaname towards my old dorm room. I stayed at least 5 feet away from him. He peeks over his shoulders once in a while, amused by my reaction. He stopped and I stopped. We were in the middle of a deserted hallway.

“May I ask, what is the reason behind the grudge you hold to me?” He asked me.

“I don’t hold a grudge towards you.” I said not meeting his glance.

“Then why do you have to walk 5 feet behind me?”

“You look too much like him.” I said.

He turned around.

“The resemblance…it’s too obvious.” I looked outside the window.

For a moment, it was silent.

“You look too much like your uncle, Rido Kuran.” I finally said.

My gaze turned back to him.

“I know you’re not. I can tell. The other part of me thinks of you as a very important person. I know what you have done to help…me. And that part of me had taken a special liking towards you.” I said. “But it’s just too obvious. I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine.”

“Kaname-kun…what is the deal with Yuuki Kurosu-chan?” I asked him. “I can tell that you are more attached to her than you should. I can also sense that there is another bond between you two.”

It’s just something that I can tell with my powers. The blood in those two is far too similar to be from two families.

“My guess is that you two are from the same families. Somehow, Yuuki-chan ended up like me.” I explained, “You are still looking for the chance to break the seal that is cast upon her. Since her seal is up to the full extent, the only way to awaken her is to give her your blood after drinking hers.”

He stared at me. He brushed his hand through his messy hair and nodded.

“You’re right. I really shouldn’t doubt the power of the heir of the Tsubasa family.” He smiled.

I nodded.

“Can we go to get my things now?” I asked.

He nodded and led me towards my old dorm room. Now, I walked a bit closer to Kaname. He felt it and I saw him smile again. We reached my room and I opened the door with a flick of my hand. The things were already packed, I did it before we reached the door. I went in and grabbed my things. I walked up to the window and looked down.

The sight was unusually interesting. I saw Yuuki hugging Zero from behind. Zero was shocked. I saw a glint of metal, Bloody Rose, lying on the ground not far away. I felt Kaname’s aura disappear from the scene. I’m sure he saw it too. He left. I didn’t know what made me do it, but…I smiled.
