“Brendon,” Shelby groaned, “You did not rent a hippie van to travel Amsterdam around in.” Brendon grinned and shook his head, “No, you’re not looking at it right. It’s a bright yellow Minivan.” He corrected, fishing the keys out of his pockets. “Why can’t we escape minivans when we’re with you! Let alone bright colors?” She groaned, smacking her forehead after he’d opened the trunk door. “I thought we were riding the crappy yellow school bus around. Not the yellow minivan.” Ryan pointed out. “Mrs. Conner said that they were renting vans and they had the colors blue, red, one yellow, and a few black ones. Of course I was going to go for the yellow one! I call her lemon.” Brendon explained, running around the vehicle and hugging the hood. The other three rolled their eyes, obviously grumpy from the long flight. “Can we just get to the hotel?” Shelby yawned, almost laying her head on Ryan’s shoulder but at the last moment switched it to Heaven’s. “Yea, yea. Fine.” He said, not happy that no one else was happy at the moment.
“Do we have a brochure thing from the hotel?” Shelby asked once in the backseat with Heaven. “Brendon, what the fuck are you doing?” Ryan asked when Brendon opened the passenger side door. “Where the fuck is the steering wheel!” Brendon spazzed, looking at the dashboard to see no wheel. “Um, Bren.” Heaven giggled, “It’s over on the other side dear.” Shelby fell over in her seat and laid her head in Heaven’s lap, snorting. “Can’t. Breath.” She gasped. Heaven started laughing and by the time Brendon had gone around the front of the yellow van everyone inside was laughing. “What?” He asked, starting up the car and driving off, “Brendon! Get in your lane now!” Ryan yelled, grabbing the wheel and putting Brendon on the other side of the road. “But this is the wrong side of the road, Ryan!” He said, utterly confused now. “It’s the opposite here Brendon!” Ryan laughed, shaking his head. “Oh, so does that mean your actually a guy here in Amsterdam?” Brendon teased, grinning.
“Hey! That was uncalled for!” Ryan whined, crossing his arms and putting his pouty face on. “Then if I’m a man here you’re a woman.” he added, “and those jeans are guys.” Brendon’s jaw dropped in mock horror “You bitch!!” he yelled, then began to try to hit Ryan. “Hey! Fucker! Get in your lane before we fucking get pulled over.” Ryan snapped, cowering against the door. Brendon glared at him, not looking back on the road until Heaven threatened him with oversized shirts and baggy sweatpants. He immediatly jerked 'Lemon' back onto the road the instant the threat was made.
“Did we get a brochure from the hotel?” Shelby asked again, “Yea, here.” Heaven yawned, tossing her the small brochure. Shelby read through the pages and then began giggling hysterically, throwing the brochure across the van to the front. “Oh my god!” She gasped, reaching for the brochure and handing it to a confused Heaven. “What’s so funny!” She questioned, eyebrows raised. Shelby let out another gasp and then pointed to a page. Heaven cracked up laughing and nodded her towards Shelby, both cackling in the backseat. Ryan and Brendon exchanged looks and then Ryan grabbed the brochure, reading through the paragraph aloud. “The Crowne Plaza Hotel Amsterdam City Centre has a ‘Opps, I Forgot’ box' He raised his eyebrows, shaking his head at the next part. "Which includes the following items: shampoo and conditioner bottles, toothpaste, toothbrush, shoe laces, socks, condoms, and scented and flavored lubricants.” Ryan’s grinned after he’d finished, then turned his head slowly over to Brendon. Brendon was trying not to bust up laughing, a big grin on his face. The girls continued cracking up the rest of the drive at any word beginning with an ‘L’ or ‘C.’
“Okay guys, we’re here at The Crowne-” Brendon started but the girls started laughing again, he rolled his eyes and waited for them to finish up. “Plaza Hotel Amsterdam City Centre.” He finished up quickly, hoping they wouldn’t laugh again. But, as much as he didn’t want them to, they began to laugh again. “Okay, are you guys finished?” He asked, making sure he didn’t use anything that was going to throw them into a fit of laughter again. They giggled, rolling their eyes at each other before they nodded. “Oh, sick guys. Sick.” He laughed, shaking his head as he got out to help Ryan with the bags in the back. “Why did we end up with them?” Brendon whispered, grinning. “You mean, why did you end up with her? If you haven’t noticed, but lately, me and my ‘girlfriend’ haven’t really been talking that much.” Ryan snapped as he threw his book bag/travel bag over his shoulder. He made sure the word 'girlfriend' was the harshest word spoken. ‘Something obviously crawled up his ass on the car ride in between all the laughter.’ Brendon thought bitterly, watching Ryan stalk off to the hotel’s front doors. Brendon looked up from grabbing his bag out of the back when he saw Shelby, “Don’t lie to me. I heard it. I was right here.” She said softly, grabbing her book bag with all her extra things in it and then suitcase. “Shelby…” Brendon whispered, looking around for Heaven and then sighed quietly, “Don’t let him ruin this trip, alright? You’ve still got to talk to him not to long. Don’t forget that.” He reminded, ruffling her hair affectionately and gave her a small smile. She tried to smile back, but her eyes were watering so she tried her best, then started walking up to the hotel.
Before they left on the plane their teachers told everybody to meet up in the lobby of the hotel for their rules. By the time Heaven and Brendon walked through the doors the teacher had already began a lecture on the hotel’s policies (which everyone knew because she assigned them to read them from copies she had printed). “Alright, the main rules these four weeks are: Absolutely no going out after 10 o’clock at night. If you’re caught, you will be sent home early.” She started, looking over her glasses at all of the students. “Just come on.” Brendon muttered to Heaven, she smiled at him and squeezed his hand that was entwined with hers softly. “And girls, no boys in the room unless they are permitted by me or any of the other teachers.” She went on, then sighed when Steven Winters put his hand up. “Same for the boys, no girls in the room unless permitted.” She answered his unasked question. “What about if you’re gay!” Someone yelled. Girl's giggling and guy's low laughter filled the room as the teacher rolled her eyes at the Seniors. “Now, go check into your rooms and get settled it. No one’s allowed to leave tonight since we’ve just arrived.” She added. Everyone groaned in annoyance at the teacher, Heaven poked her tongue out behind her back and Brendon laughed softly. “You’re so mature babe.” He teased, ruffling her hair. She placed her hands over her hair, glaring at him. He grinned, then leaned down and kissed her forehead, “It’s alright, you look beautiful with messy hair.” He whispered in her ear, walking off to find Ryan so they could get their room. Her face heated up as she went to look for Shelby.
“What’d you and Brendon do now?” Shelby asked playfully, smiling. “Your hair’s all messy and you’re red.” She added. “He ruffled my hair and called me beautiful, nothing new. Now come on and lets get our room.” She said quickly, dragging Shelby by the hand up to the desk when a spot opened. “You’re in luck ladies.” The man at the desk said, smiling politely, “You got on of the last adult rooms.” he explained when they both raised their eyebrows. “Yes!” They cheered, giving each other high-fives. “Yes, lucky you. Now, enjoy your stay at The Crowne Plaza Hotel.” He said, then gave the next girls their room keys. “What!” Jessica Junniper [Jun-I-per] screeched, stamping her foot, “I can not have a CHILD’S room! I demand a room with a queen size bed.” She added. The man behind the counter sat there with a grin, “Sorry ladies,” He apologized smoothly, “But those lovely girls have taken the last room without clowns on the walls.” He said, suppressing laughter. Jessica’s friend,-follower-Ashley, dropped her jaw, “Cl-clowns?” She yelled. The man opened up his mouth, almost laughing but stopped himself and settled for a nod. He took Jessica’s hand and dropped the key in her palm, “Have a nice stay.” He said evilly, grinning. Shelby and Heaven cracked up laughing and everyone turned to look at them. Jessica and Ashley glared when they stomped by as they went up to their room.” This is friggen nice.” Shelby giggled, walking into the room. “Yea, it’s got a weird layout though. But it’s nice.” Heaven agreed, looking down the stairs.

Guys, later
“Ryan, what was that crap earlier?” Brendon asked as he lied on his bed. “Nothing.” Ryan says, his voice muffled by the pillow his face is currently in. “Whatever. You don’t go from laughing one minute to being a jack ass the next.” Brendon sighed, sitting up and looking at his friend on the other bed. “Just leave me alone Brendon.” He snapped, rolling over onto his side so he was facing the opposite way from Brendon. “Ryan, just tell me.” He pleaded softly. “No.” Ryan whispered weakly, sounding like he could cry in a moment. “Ryan, just…please tell me?” Brendon pleaded one last time. “No Brendon.” He whispered, a silent tear rolling down his cheek after Brendon let out a sigh and shut the lights off. “Night Ry.” He said sadly, “Night Bden.” Ryan said softly.
