Burnside :Pokemon info: Dark Light

"I hate Wednesdays."
Sam glared over at hertwin brotherSean.
"What? I do!"
"Oh lighten up. The day will come and go."
"But I haven't had any moo moo milk yet!"
"You're a soldier, sean, toughen up and act like one!"
"But it's vacation Sammie, this is my only chance to complain!"
Sam rolled her eyes and ignored her sibling as their father, Andy, strolled into the kitchen.
He pulled out a chair and sat down.
"Hey kids."
"Morning dad," the two chimed.
"Are you two getting along?"
Sean pointed across the table. "Sam's telling me to be a man on my vacation time!"
"I just don't want you acting like a two-year-old." Sam said cooly.
The two siblings got along just fine, even though they were opposites.
"So Sam," Andy said, "Where's your pokemon?"
"Still at Professer Oak's. They need to help him out with all the other 400 I've collected."
"Rounded?" Sean asked, jealous that he still hasn't reached half that amount yet.
"Rounded..." She leaned forward. "Down to the nearest hundred."
Sean could tell she was enjoyingthe jealous expression that crossed his face.
"Dad! She's rubbing it in again!"
"AM NOT!" Sam snapped. "You just look funny when you give me that expression."
"Will you two settle down?" Andy glowered.
Sean had been standing and now sat down and crossed his arms, sitting in the same relaxed position as his sister.
The family had just moved to Palet Town from the Hoenn region.
It was the trio's first day in the new house.
"Maybe you should go say hi to the neighbors." Andy suggested, "You know, to get out of the house for a while."
Sam relunctantly rose and left.
Sean followed.

It was toward the early afternoon.
Pikachu and I were sitting on my bed watching a double-battle tournament on TV.
"On the Red side we have Sam and Luke!" The announcer said, "And on the Blue side we have Gary and Fiona!"
I couldn't believe Gary was on TV! Lucky.
Pikachu snuggled on my lap.
SAM: Let's go, Weavile!
GARY: Come on out Nidoking!
FIONA: Razzle Dazzle Infernape!
LUKE: Take em down Flygon!
ANNOUNCER: This battle's heating up already! Can Gary compete against the world's greatest pokemon trainer? And what will happen to Sam's friend Luke if he's beaten down by a girl?
"World's greatest pokemon trainer?" I gaped. So Gary DID have SOME competition.
Pika.
"Don't worry bud," I said, "It's not like Gary's going to win against Sam. I'm gonna laugh when i see him again."
SAM: Weavile, Shadow Rush!
LUKE: Flygon, Earthquake!
I was half surprised when Weavile disappeared.
Then the whole arena shook,
FIONA: Infernape Protect!
Gary: Nidoking return with one of your own Earthquakes!
By now the TV was almost shaking and the ground rose up in huge colums from the two attacks ramming each other.
SAM: Weavile now! Attack Infernape!
ANNOUNCER: Did Sam forget Infernapes still using protect? Or does she have another thought on he rmind?
Then I jumped.
Weavile came down above Infernape and broke through the sheild and rammed Infernape into the ground.
Pika!
"Shadow Rush can do that?!"
Infernape took some serious injuries, but managed to get back up again.
ANNOUNCER: What a blow! That delivered some massive damage!
GARY: Nidoking, Mega Horn on Flygon!
LUKE: Flygon reflect it with Iron Tail!
I hugged Pikachu.
LUKE: Sam swap!
SAM: Weavile ice beam on Nidoking!
Luke's Flygon flew over to infernape.
FIONA: Infernape Flame wheel!
The two collided and created a massive explosion.
Only then did Flygon come out with only a few scratches and infernape face first on the ground.
ANNOUNCER: Infernape is unable to battle!
Infernape hadn't been able to attack once! and it's over already?
Pikachu! Pika!
"That Luke kid is pretty strong himself." I said to Pikachu.
LUKE: It's all up to you Sam! Return flygon!
ANNOUNCER: And Luke decides to call Flygon back.
Meanwhile, Weavile and Nidoking were still dueling it out.
GARY: Surf Nidoking!
SAM: Quickly Weavile, Darkpulse!
A blast of blackness was shot out from weaviles body and knocked Nidoking back a couple of feet.
Then a large tidle wave.
SAM: Weavile split that water in two with slash then use darkpulse!
GARY: Nidokingquickly--
Too late. Weavile sliced the wave in half then blasted Gary's Nidoking into the ground.
When the smoke cleared Gary's Nidoking was unable to battle.
