"I can't believe you arn't shutting up Abarai!" You screamed, as the tall red head followed you around poking you in the shoulder, and making stupid jokes behind you.
"Oh come on Keira, you know you like him, you guys would make a cute couple. He's short, your short, he's got a short temper, your, well your still short." You turned around suddenly, grabbing the top of his robe, and pulling him down to his knees.
"I swear Abarai if you don't leave me alone, I'm going to scream right in your ear." His eyes just stared at you. A rather confused look on his face.
"Wow, that's frightening, you can scream in my ear as long as you admit that you like him." You took in a deep breath, then let it out, poor Renji, never saw that coming.
"I DONT LIKE HIM ABARAIIIIIIII!" Your voice was high and screeched. Renji grabbed his ears and fell over to the floor. You let go of his robe and turned around, a rather happy smile on your face.
"Ami what are you doing?" You stopped in your tracks, his breath leaving his lips. You turned,
"Well you see Captian, Lt. Abarai was following me around and teasing me so I told him if he didn't stop I was going to scream in his ear." You shrugged, raising your hand and pointing to Renji. "He didn't stop." Toshiro looked away from you, following your finger till his eyes found Renji, still on the floor holding his head.
"Lt. Abarai are you alright?" Toshiro asked. Standing between you and Renji. Renji didn't say anything so he moved closer to him. Renji's head raised, seeing the small Captian before him.
"HELLO CAPTIAN HITSUGAYA!" Renji yelled, causing Toshiro to take a step back.
"Renji you don't have to yell." He said.
"WHAT, YOU NEED TO TO DELIVER MAIL!" You couldn't help it, you fell to the floor laughing. Toshiro turned and stared at you.
"He's probably going to have perminate hearing damage form that. Your voice has a tendancy to reach a high pitch when you scream."
"Yeah. well. he. shoulda. stop. teasing. me." You said inbetween laughs. Toshiro looked back to Renji, who stood digging his finger in his ear, and slapping the side of his head.
"Renji you should go to division 4." Toshiro said.
"YES, MY EARS ARE SORE, SHE SCREAMED IN THEM!" He said pointing at you. Toshiro took a deep breath, grabbing on of his subordinates that was walking by. He told him to take Renji to the 4th division, as the two started walking away you could hear Renji asking where they were going, and if he could speak up. You were still rolling around on the floor when you looked up and saw his turquiose eyes staring down at you. You sat up, then raised yourself so you were standing.
"So Captian, did you need something?" Toshiro looked away from you, staring at the retreating form of the sun as it slide completely behind the hills.
"I just don't know what I'm going to do with you." He said walking past you. You turned and followed him.
"Toshiro come on he started it. He was teasing me, I can't very well attack a Lt. I'd be in deep trouble if I did, not only with Captian Kuchiki, but you'd be mad at me too. What do you want me to do, let them walk all over me." Toshiro stopped turning quickly to look at you.
"You could come and get me Ami, I've always been there when you needed me." He said. "But now I've got a half deaf Lt."
"I'm not going to go running to my Captian just because someone's teasing me, that would be lame. I can take care of things myself."
"Yeah I see that Ami." You rolled your eyes at him. "Just what was it he was teasing you about anyways?" You scrunched up your nose, looking away from him.
"Nothing you need to worry about." Toshiro growled.
"And why not, I'm the one that's going to have to explain this to Captian Kuchiki when he comes to ask me about it."
"Jeez why do you always worry about everyone else. I've known you since we were kids and you always take everyone else's side. Renji teases me, you worry about him. Matsumoto starts in and you tell her to do paperwork. Why don't you ever worry about me?" You yelled.
"I'm always worrying about you! But you won't tell me what it is that they keep teasing you about. How am I suppose to help you when you won't talk to me."
"They tease me about you. They keep telling me how cute we are. And that I like you. That's why I don't want to tell you." You said looking away from him. He let out another breath.
"I see." He said. You turned away from him.
"I'm going to go and apologize to Renji." You said turning away from him, your meduim length black hair twirled around as you turned, your blue eyes looking down at the ground before you. When you hand was suddenly caught, you turned seeing the Captian you had just turned away from. His eyes looking away from yours as his hand held yours tighly.
"Apologize tomorrow, when he can hear you. Stay with me right now." His voice was soft, it was amazing what his voice could do to you. It send a thrill of emotions through your body. It was strong and warm, dispite is small and cold demenor.
"Toshiro?" He raised his eyes toward yours. A slight smile on his face.
"Come on, lets talk about all this teasing, and why you shouldn't be upset about it." You tilted your head.
"Why shouldn't I be upset about it?" You said stepping forward. He looked away from you, a slight blush on his face.
"Because, Matsumoto teases me about the same thing. And I, I think their right." You smiled, right before you squeeled and jumped on him.
"Ami, come on stop." He said as your laid your head on his chest.
"Toshiro, if they tease me again, what do I say?" He smiled.
"Tell them it's true. Just don't scream it in their ears." You smiled, hugging him, his arms wrapping around your waist. You knew he wouldn't let you stay like this for too long, but you loved the way it felt, and you were going to enjoy every second of it, for as long as you could.
