Chapter 14 : A bullet through a flock of doves ~Frank Iero~ Chapter 14
Ok so I think this is shorter than I wanted it to be. I know it took a while. But. Enjoy. XD.
Chapter 14
It had been just over a week since I heard my chemical romance perform for the first time. During that time they had given me
one of their home made cds with the stuff they had recorded themselves so far. It was now becoming the most played album on
my ipod. I woke up that morning with another nightmare. They had started to slip back into solitary nightmares but a dark figure, who resembled Frank always seemed to be off to the side, if not helping in my demise. It was luckily the weekend. I showered and dressed in my pj bottoms and a random band top. I then settled myself on my ledge with a book I had just bought.
Before I even opened it I worked on my usual routine. When I was finished, I went straight onto reading the book. It was called Twilight and was appartently, from what I had heard, about vampires. Vampires rock. And according to My chem they will never hurt you. I had my ipod on as I opened the covered and started to dive into the worlds of fiction. And I gotta admit Stephenie Meyer was some kind of writing genius. I was part way through the forth chapter when something caught my eye.
Someone on the gorund was lying on the pavement, staring at the clouds. They didn't appear to be able to see my clearly. But I deffiently recognised them as a member of my family.
I sighed and made my second revalation of the day. The shadows had pulled pulled in and it was edging towards lunch time. I climbed back into my room and pulled on some jeans. I knew it was going to be a struggle, like it had been, to lower the trapdoor. But I managed. When I reached the kitchen I saw my mum on the sofa laughing at the tv, she was half laying half sitting, the remote was pressed tightly in her hands, her red finger nails half way over the channel button, her short brown hair was slightly ruffled but presentable, her gray eyes glued to the screen, her other hand was held tightly against her lips holding a cigarette which helped a light fog settle in the room. I was already coughing when I smelt it at the top of
the stairs. My dad reading todays paper, he had his brown slippers on resting his feet on our red puff thingy, this pipe was in his mouth smoking away and he wore his bathroom robe around this laugh stomach. He reminded me of someone pretending to be posh. My baby brother was on the floor, near my smoking father banging a toy against the wood, he was drawling slightly and his little baby green eyes were shining as though he had just stopped crying, which I didn't doubt for a second. My younger sister was brushing her barbies hair near my mum. Her blonde hair matched barbies in colour and length. Her eyes were a dazling blue. My brother must be the one outside. I was pretty appalled how the two youngest were being allowed to inhale that much smoke.
"Oh would you shut up!" My mother snapped at Malcolm, my youngest simbling. I was the oldest. Malcolm imediately snapped into tears and dropped his toy, mum huffed and rolled her eyes turning the tv up louder increasing the screams. No one moved. I walked over to my brother and picked him up. I bounced him a little up and down with my good hand. I walked through outside, Steven, my other brother was gone. I sat on the side walk and listened to Malcolms cries muffle slightly as he calmed down.
He coughed a little, when I patted him on the back I was alamred to see I could smell smoke on him. No way was I going to encourage Sally, my sister, out the house, she was mummy and daddys princess. Steven was always out. They pretty much ignored me and Malcolm. I knew his pain. I played outside with Malcolm grateful I had bought his toy with me. It was a pretty warm day today and I was depserate to get Malcolm out of those clothes. I knew where my bag was, all I needed was someone to look after the baby. I picked Malcolm up and ran across the street and knocked on Franks door. He answered looking happy and alarmed to see me, probably cause of the baby.
"Here you won a baby for five minutes," I smiled running back to my house, I ran up the stairs grabbed my bag and as I was about to leave I heard Sally.
"Where you going?" She asked but didn't stop with brushing barbies hair.
"Shopping," I smiled knowing I could get her out. "Wanna come and i'll buy you a new barbie." She smiled with delight and skipped to the door.
"Not to late Kay." Dad order.
"Sure," I said dryly. I closed the door and held Sallys hand across the street Frank still had his door open and was holding Malcolm at arms length. "Sorry about that," I smiled taking alcome back but stuggling with my bag. Frank saw and put it on his own shoulder. "Ok Sally this is uncle Frankie," I smiled.
"Hey Frankie," she smiled.
"Hey cutie," he smiled. "Um Kay explain."
"This my brother and sister, and i'm going shopping cause I want them out of there for a while," I said with bitterness even though I had purposefully placed a smile on my face.
"I'll come," he smiled grabbing his coat and closing the door behind him. Sally skipped along infront of us while I carried Malcolm and he carried my bag. "You know i've never met any of your famiy til now."
"I know, and these two are probably the only two you wanna know," I smiled half heartedly. I shifted Malcolm a little while he played with my hair.
"No I would like to meet the rest," he inisted, "I mean you've met mine. I gotta meet my girlfirends family."
"Ok but just not today," I said a little bittereness creeped into my tone, "mum and dad are in the usual mood."
