~Mandie POV~
I opened my locker and shoved my books in, moments later Ant was leaning on the locker besides mine.
"Hey babe," I mumbled after he kissed me.
"What's wrong?"
"Got detention for a week, see you at home." I slammed my locker and walked towards the auditorium.
"I can hang around and wait, we'll walk together?"
"I'll be fine, Anthony, thanks though."
He grabbed my hand. "Look, I'm trying to be nice. Why'd you get a detention? I was worried all last period, I heard you got beat up, or you beat someone up."
"I would've." I admitted. "Jay tried to feel me up basically, but I shoved him and kicked him."
He shook his head. "That's just wrong, I don't even do that to you. He's lucky I wasn't there, that kid deserved worse."
I nodded and walked into the stadium seated room.

"Mandie." Jay called the moment we were told we could leave.
I kept walking up the aisle, and out into the lobby. "Leave me alone." I stopped short when I noticed Ant sitting against the wall, head down, asleep. I smiled slightly and nudged him with my fingers, he jumped. "I told you not to wait."
He shrugged. "Well I did, Phil and Caleb walked, they left us the car." he studied my expression. "They offered."
"Mandie, we need to talk." Jay said once he'd gotten out of the auditorium and away from the crowd.
"Just leave me alone, you've gotten me into enough trouble." I groaned pulling Anthony to the parking lot.
Jay followed making Ant get even more annoyed then I was. "Are you incapable of listening to her? Back off, or I swear, I'll hurt you. You don't treat any girl like that ever, especially Mandie."
"Don't threaten me!" Jay said walking into his face. They were the same height, but by the looks of Ant's muscles, Ant was stronger.
"Aww, did I hurt the little one's feelings?" he retorted in a baby tone.
I cringed when Jay threw a punch square at Anthony's nose. "Stop!" I squealed as he got up and tackled Jay. "Don't need to fight. He didn't hurt me physically, the emotions can heal!"
They weren't lstening, they were rolling on the pavement - punching and struggling to dodge the fist in their face. Jay stopped fighting suddenly, he went limp. Anthony got up and wiped the blood from his nose and lip as he told me to get into the car.
I didn't budge. "Is he alright?" I managed still in shock, I never saw Ant like that.
"Who cares."
"Does he need a hospital?"
"Mandie! What's with you, I'm fine, thanks for asking."
"Well unlike him, you got up; he isn't even moving!" I yelled. "Get in the car, I'll get a teacher. Don't argue, I am keeping you out of trouble as long as we can avoid it."

I held ice to my fiancee's face and dabbed at his split lip with a wet washcloth. He sat there in triump as he told Caleb and Phil what'd he'd done.
"You can get suspended, it was on school property!" Phil growled.
"Yeah, don't you want to graduate?" their best friend added.
I sat there frowning. "Its all my fault."
"No it isn't he attacked me, self defense. And besides he deserved it." Anthony said taking the stuff from my hands and aiding himself.
I shook my head in defeat feeling like he didn't want me there anymore, so I walked to the kitchen to make dinner.
Phil came in and put his hand on my shoulder. "My brother really cares about you, he just doesn't want to see anyone mess with you. He is fustrated about how everyone is treating you, he took it all out on Jay."
"I know." I said leaning on him. "I just don't want him to get into trouble over me."
"He doesn't see it that way, let him be stubborn and solve this."
I smiled. "I know that... If he left like I asked him to, none of this would have happened."
"Dude, dudette, get in here." Caleb came bustling into the kitchen pulling us back into the living room
