In Between the Chaos: Riku from Kingdom Hearts (Love Story)

Riku's POV

You, Sora, the King, and the new girl Mia slowly walked to the house's meeting room. During the walk the King explained to Mia what had happened and where she was. The meeting room was a plain white room with no windows. All that was in it was a long elegant wood table and the chairs surrounding it. The King sat at the head of the table, Mia sat down next to him at his left,you sat on his right and Sora sat next to you.

"Well," the King began, "there are many things to discuss here today. What is the element of Mia's Keyblade? Why does the universe need another keyblade and what are we going to do?"

"What do you mean, the element of my keyblade?" Mia asked. She had such a pretty voice, it sounded...farmiliar. You couldn't stop staring at her.

'Well, you see," Sora started to explain, "Each keyblade has a an elelment that it controls. Mine, controls light, the King's controls darkness, and Riku's controls the In-Between." Mia snapped her gaze from Sora toyou when this was said, you werestill staring at her. You probably should have looked away, staring was considered rude, but you were never one for manners and you couldn't help yourself.

"That makes sense," she said staring right back at you, "you are drak compared to the others butthere isa certain light inside you. You aren't either side, you're in-between." Her sudden knowledge and assessment of you reminded you of your time spent in the darkness. They knew everything about a person in there. It was hard to contain your shudder. Mia was still staring at you, she had seen your surpressed shiver, but did not question it.

"How did you do that?!" Sora asked in awe. Obviously you wre niot the only one who was astounded at the fact that a girl who couldn't remember her own past could grasp so much about others in seconds.

"It just happens," she said, suddenly quiet, "It comes and goes...kind of in splotches, but ifI focus hard enough I can sense a lot about a person. What happened right therewas rare, being able to sense something about a person without even trying."

"Interesting..." the King muttered," Mia can you describe your personality? It might give us some clues to what your keblade's element is."

"Well," she started off slowly, "I can only remember what has happened to me since I first arrived in Hollow Bastian the first time and up to today."

"You have been in Hollow Bastian before? Were you here long?" you asked.

"Yes I have been in Hollow Bastian before...and I was here longer than you could imagine...," she said, her bright eyes suddenly dim, "Other than that I have no recollection of my past. I would have to say my personality is very random. I'm very unpredictable. People always say that I'm not what they expect, that I never do what they expected I would. Sometimes I am hyper and energetic but not in the upbeat happy way. I have a morbid sense of humor...Wanna hear a dead bay joke?!" She lit up as she said those last words.

"A WHAT?!" Sora and the King asked, almost falling completely out of theirchairs. You just stared at this strange girl.
"A dead baby joke," she repeated, not at all taken aback by the expressions on your faces," Ok so, what do you get a dead baby for Christmas? Give up? A DEAD PUPPY!" She ended the joke laughing and you couldn't help but laugh along. As morbid as it was, it was a funny joke. The King and Sora chuckled but you could tell they didn't get it, it made you laugh harder. This girl was so strange and different...so unpredictable, so random, so uncontrollable...you pondered at these words and suddenly it all clicked!

"Chaos." you murmered

"What?" Mia looked at you, stunned.

"Chaos," you repeated, louder this time, "Your keyblade controls chaos. You can control the uncontrollable...but why? Why does the universe need such a thing?

"I control CHAOS?!" Mia managed to gasp out. It was pretty unbelievable

"He's right," the King said, "Think about it. Golly. What else is left in the universe besides Light Darkness and the In-Between? The only thing left is the chaos that scatters between them, the chaos that makes everything about those elements so uncontrollable. This is not good. If Chaos is not in equality with the other elements then somthing could be seriosuly wrong with the universe...but what?"

"That makes sense but it doesn't," you said, frustrated and confused, "If Chaos has always been an element and has always been a keyblade, then why has it just appeared now? This was the first time you wielded your keyblade, right?"

Mia nodded and then said, "I may have only just wielded the keyblade but I can now see in my memory that it has been with me for a while, it just decided not to show itself."

"But-" you started to say, but were cut off by the King.

"Mia what exactly happened to you when you first came to Hollow Bastian?"
