Crazy Kind Of Summer Reunion {A Jonas Brother [Sister] Story}
Chapter 4 : Crazy Kind Of Summer Reunion {A Jonas Brothers [Sister] Story} 3
Sorry, I messed up when making the first chapter so it is after chapter 2. Here's the third chapter. Is she the long lost sibling?
The next two weeks went by pretty fast, I only left the house when it was necessary so that no one would recognize me. I got to know the guys pretty well, and play some intense rounds of guitar hero. Finally it was the day we were to get the results. Joe and I were the first ones up, followed shortly by Denise. All three of us just sat around the living room talking until about eleven when Joe’s cell phone went off. J – Hello? ? – Hi, is this Mr. Joseph Jonas? J – Yes, may I ask who this is? ? – Of course, this is nurse Kim from the lab. I was calling in regards to the test results that were sent to your house. They should be there now and we were just wanting to let you know, that by the results we’ve gotten, you and Miss Lacey Jones are twins. Your DNA is almost identical, except for one little difference which is of course the gender. J – So it’s true?! (He was getting very excited and we still had no idea who he was talking to.) NK – Yes. You should have the results in front of you. You can see for your self. J – AH!!! WE FOUND HER!!! YES! NK – Mr. Jonas are you okay? J – Joe, please, Mr. Jonas Is my father. Yes, I’m fine, thank you for calling. Have a wonderful day ma’am! NK – Umm okay. Thank you Joe, you too. J – Oh, trust me it will be amazing! Bye! NK – Good bye. Joe hung up and looked at me weird. This scared me a little so I decided that I would just cower against the couch I was on. Joe smirked and then ran to get the mail that had just been delivered. He ran back in and handed it to his mom. Then he walked over to me and picked me upbridal style, because of how I was sitting. “IT’S OFFICIAL!! YOU’RE MY SISTER!!!” He was spinning in circles, that is, until he ran into the previously occupied chair that he had sat in only moments ago, we both fell in it and groaned, well he groaned, I laughed. “So the test came back saying that we’re twins? I’m a Jonas? I never ever have to worry about living with ick and icky again?” I asked him really fast. “Exactly.” He said matter o factly. I smiled, kissed his cheek and then got up and ran up the stairs. Well, half way up the stairs until I realized that our mom was already in the living room. I’d forgotten momentarily. I looked at her and smiled and she opened her arms and I jumped on her. We sat there hugging for at least five minutes, with mild tears coming from me, and a river from her. Finally aafter the five minutes of hugging she pulled away and looked at me. “Nineteen years of searching for you, and finally our family is complete again!” She said and then hugged me again and kissed me on the cheek, I did the same and then pulled away. “Can I tell Nick and Kevin now?” I asked she nodded and I stood up. “Joey, go get mom so tea!” I said and ran back to the stairs. This time I ran up them and opened the door to Nicks room. “NICK! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!!” I yelled. He shot up and looked around then fell back on his bed. “Gosh Lace, I thought you were in trouble.” He mumbled laying back down. “Oh no you don’t mister, you don’t get to be all over protective of your older sister and then fall asleep just because I’m perfectly safe.” I said. He shot back up and smiled. “You mean it’s for sure now?” He hadn’t hugged yet, I knew he’d pounce as soon as he heard me say yes. So I beat him to it. I tackled him. “Yup, it’s official, I have almost identical DNA to Joe, we have been prove twins!!! That means you’re my baby brother!!!” I said he laughed and hugged me, then repeated Joes actions by standing up and spinning me in a circle. Only this time my legs were loose so he ended up dipping me like we were dancing to keep us from falling. “No, let go, I gotta go wake up Kevin!” I said. So he obliged, of course, I forgot to tell him to stand me up first so, I fell. “Jerk” I mumbled he just laughed and ran downstairs to hang with Joe and hug mom. I ran over to Kevin’s room where I heard him finishing a prayer. I knocked on the door and he opened it. “Morning Lace. Has the mail come yet?” Okay so everyone was uber excited. It’s not our fault. We refuse to claim our insanity. We just have a different view as to what reality is. “Big Brother, it is a GREAT morning!” I said. At first he just stared then he got it and he picked me up and spun me. “AHHH NOT AGAIN!” I yelled he put me down and kissed the top of my head. “I knew it, the second you said you remembered a boy dropping a baby that you were my baby sister. I’ve missed you Lace!” He smiled at me and I hugged him. “You know Kev, I’ve been living here for two weeks now. How can you have missed me?” I joked. He just shook his head. “Alright, out I’ll be down in a minute, I gotta get dressed.” I laughed and left his room. I was walking back downstairs when I ran into Nick. He hugged me again, and it occurred to me that he was the only one who didn’t kiss me yet. I smiled slightly, then again I thought to soon, because since he was taller than me even though I was older, he like Kevin had, kissed the top of my head. “Thank you.” He whispered. “For what Nicky?” I asked, what in the world was he thanking me for? “Well, I guess mostly I was thanking god because he finally brought you back to our family. Yeah I know that sounds weird coming from me since I am younger than you, but you have no idea how many nights we’ve all sat up listening to mom cry, and pray that we would find you. When we moved out here, Joe was so excited, more than the rest of us. We thought it was because he always is, but now I think its because in his heart, even though he didn’t know it, he knew we were closer to finding you. I was thanking you though, because if you would have ignored Joe and stole his Frisbee two weeks ago, we never would have found you. We would still be completely clueless that you were just a few blocks away. So yes, I’m thanking you for returning a Frisbee!” He laughed a little and so did I. I hugged him again and then sent him to get dressed. The only two who didn’t know yet were our dad, and Frankie. They were out at some Father-son thing that Frankie had been begging to go to for like a week. We decided that we would wait till they got home to tell them. I walked down and sat on the couch where I had been before, except now we were all smiling, when Kevin and Nick finally joined us we got down to more serious business.
“So I say I should be allowed to go beat up icky.” Joe said as if it were the most obvious answer to everything.
“Joe, you’re famous, there would be a field day following that.” I stated, he frowned and we all laughed at him. “That reminds me. What are you going to tell people? I mean they might notice a random girl that starts hanging out with the boys, and I’d rather the press not think I’m dating any of them. I mean I love you all, but that would be…Just wrong.” I finished and made a face to get the point acrossed. They all nodded and laughed in agreement, so then we all turned to look at mom.
“Well, we kept it hush, hush when the boys got big. However we were all over the news when it happened asking for everyone to return you. Eventually it’ll all be put together, however I think I’ll talk to Paul, and have him set up a press conference where we’ll set everything straight.” She smiled and we all nodded in agreement, of course, we don’t have much say over it anyway. Then Nick spoke up.
“What are we going to do about ick and icky? Obviously we’re turning them in right?” Even though I knew that I had just been reunited with my family, I somehow had managed to forget momentarily that I had ever been kidnapped. Just sitting there with them all, I felt like I knew them my whole life. I felt safe, and comfortable with them. I guess that’s good though since they are my family. Wow, I never thought I’d be able to say my family, but I can. It feels amazing by the way.
“Well, I could call the police now right? I mean, if we wait until the press conference then they would have time to disappear.” I looked at mom because I knew none of the guys could answer.
“Well, I have a question, did you by chance ever hear their last name?” That’s an odd question. Though, it was understandable. Jones wasn’t ick and icky’s last name, they had just changed the last a to an e.
“Umm once when I was five a delivery man came to the house and asked ick if she was Ms. Tyler and she nodded her head.” I recalled as I tried hard to think of any other time I had heard their names.
“Hmmm. I wonder. Oh well, yes we need to call the police and file a report. However we need Paul home before that.” I nodded as did the guys and then we all just talked for a couple hours until Frankie and dad got home at like one.
“MOMMY WE’RE HOME!” Frankie yelled as they entered. Joe and I looked at each other and smiled then looked at mom, she smiled and motioned for us to go. We both jumped up and ran to the door.
“DADDY!” We yelled together. Frankie stopped and stared at us and our dad just smiled and his eyes teared up. He pulled me into a hug, and again my head was kissed. He thankfully didn’t spin me. I felt little arms wrap around my waist and I looked down at Frankie. I saw Joe standing against the wall smiling. I smirked and bent down and whispered in Frankie’s ear.
“You wanna be the best little brother ever?” I asked. He nodded. “Pretend like you just got told a big secret, run over to Joe and then blow in his ear kay?” I whisper asked. He smirked and nodded.
“I KNOW A SECRET!” He sang over and over again and then ran over to Joe. “Wanna know the secret?” He asked in the cutest voice ever. Joe nodded and bent down to listen. Just as someone would start talking, Frankie blew in his ear really hard. “FOOLED YA!” He yelled and ran away. I heard him tell Nick that he was a better little brother than him and I laughed. I helped Joe up because when Frankie blew in his ear Joe fell over pretending to be hurt.
“Sorry, couldn’t resist.” I smiled innocently and walked away. Yup deffinately love this family! We went back in the living room where mom filled dad in on the thoughts. He agreed and then there was a knock at the door. Kevin said he’d get it but before he could open it we heard.
“open up this is the police.” We all exchanged worried glances, and then went to the door. Kevin had opened the door and there were two police officers now standing in the house.
“Good day officers, how may we help you?” Dad asked in a very serious tone. All of us ‘kids’ were looking at each other like what did you do?!
“We have reason to believe you are sheltering a run away. Since we can see her, we know that it is true.” PO1 said. He was wearing shades so I had no idea who it was, but his voice sounded familiar. Then I looked at his hands. That set me off. I leaned over to Joe and started whispering.
“It’s them. Well at least him.” I said quickly. Joe looked at me wide eyed and then pulled me to him in a hug.
“Umm could you please remove your glasses officer, its disrespectful to wear them in someone’s home.” He said calmly. Of course icky had been set off the second Joe touched me.
“You insolent little brat. I told you, you’re not allowed to have friends. You have to listen to me, I’m your father.” He said. Making it clear for everyone else that he was the guy who kidnapped me when I was an infant. Several things happened very fast. He grabbed for me, Joe pushed me behind him, and I was joined by Frankie who had been pushed behind Nick, mom ran for the phone to call the police. Nick and Joe made a human wall that was unbreakable in front of Frankie and me. Kevin punched icky and dad tipped a picture over on the wall and then pushed a button that was behind it. Then a few seconds later Big Rob showed up and stopped Kevin from making it worse and grabbed icky. Kevin grabbed whom I assumed was ick, and they all went outside. A few minutes later there was the sound of sirens. Dad came back inside to instruct all of us on what to do.
“Everyone go upstairs and put on some nice clothes, since Denise called 911, the news is going to show up. We’re going to have the press conference now. Once you are changed, come back down here. Joe you’ll stay with Lacey, Nick with Frankie. Lacey you’ll have to give a statement to the police while I call the label and have them call people such as E! and Popstar to be here.” He turned to go back outside and help Big Rob. Kevin came in and we all ran upstairs. I didn’t know what to wear so I just grabbed a nice sundress and threw it on. I pulled my hair into a side sweep pony tail, a really low one, and then ran down stairs, then back up to put on a pair of black flats that matched my dress pretty well. Once I was completely ready I ran back down stairs again to meet Joe. He went with me and we gave my statement to the police, about the last nineteen years of my life. Once we were done, all the press that dad had wanted at the press conference was there so we went to join the family. As soon as we were there I stood between Joe and Kevin, and Nick and Frankie were slightly in front of us, but more to the side. Mom and Dad were behind us and we were all on different levels of the porch. Dad started talking as soon as we were all on the porch.
“As you’ve noticed there are police here arresting a man, at our home tonight. This is because of something that happened nineteen years ago. You’ll notice that there is a young lady standing here between Joe and Kevin. This young lady is Lacey Jonas. She is Joseph’s fraternal twin sister.” There were gasps from pretty much every reporter there. “Three months after their birth, Lacey was kidnapped. We went on the news back then, but there were no leads. We never gave up hope trying to find her. Now we have, and the man and woman responsible for the kidnapping are in police custody.” He paused and I could tell that there were a million questions built up inside of the reporters. After a moment he continued. “Our family was fortunate enough to find her and we are all so happy that she is back in our lives, or in it finally for Nick and Frankie. They both knew they had an older sister, and now they know who she is.” He paused again and we all smiled a little bigger than before. “At this time we will answer a few questions, one at a time please.” All the reporters started asking questions, so much for one at a time. Finally Kevin pointed to one of them and they asked their question.
“Lacey, did you know that you were kidnapped when you were little, or did you believe the kidnappers to be your parents?” The woman asked, I’m guessing she was from E! because she was holding a mic with the symbol on it. I smiled again and nodded before answering.
“I always knew they weren’t my parents. Before I could even talk I knew. When I was ten the man, he let it slip that they had kidnapped me, when he was yelling at me.” All the reporters started scibbling things down or pushing buttons and continuing asking questions. Joe pointed to one.
“Yes, Joe how does it feel to have found your twin sister after not knowing if she was alive for the last nineteen years?” A reporter from a local news station asked.
“Well, I knew she was alive, even though she was no where near me while we were growing up, we still had that bond that most twins have. I knew she was alive, but now that she’s back with us, it’s amazing. She’s my sister and I love her just as I love all our brothers.” He smiled and the questions kept coming. A few questions later someone directed their question at Frankie.
“Frankie, you’ve grown up with three older brothers, from what we have been told you knew that somewhere there was an older sister, how do you feel about having an older sister now?” The lady from E! asked him.
“Well I always knew that I had an older sister, and now she has a face. So I feel that I’ve always known her, even though I didn’t.” Wow good job Frankie, seven years old and sounding all sophisticated! He pointed to a reporter who asked the next question.
“Will Lacey be joining in the quote, unquote family business, and sing act like her brothers?” That’s a good question, we hadn’t talked about that yet. Mom took that one.
“We haven’t talked about that as a family yet, if she does it won’t be for a while.” We all smiled. Nick picked the next reporter.
“Is it possible that we can get a quick rundown of things from Joe and Lacey to see how alike they are, even though they haven’t grown up together?” Some guy from Popstar asked. Since the local news stations had left it was just magazines left so mom agreed. They decided they would have Nick and Kevin throw questions out at us and we’d answer them as fast as possible.

“Okay I think that’s enough for the article.” Dad said. Once we all got back to our position on the porch he continued. “Are there anymore questions you would like answered?” We all waited while the reporters reviewed the information they had, then one of them spoke up.
“Lacey, why did you not report the kidnappers when you found out they had in fact kidnapped you?” He said. I frowned.
“That’s a rather personal matter that I would prefer not to answer at this time thank you.” I smiled again and they nodded. Joe pointed to a reporter who started talking. It was the one from Popstar.
“Would it be possible for us to take some pictures for the article?” We all looked at our parents and they nodded. We all turned back and smiled, after they all had several of the whole family they took some of just me with our parents. Then some of me with all of the guys, and then some of just Joe and Me. They took a picture of ‘The Jonas Brothers’ and a picture of Frankie, then one of me by myself. Once that was done all the reporters said they had what they needed and packed up. Once they were gone we all went inside and collapsed in the living room. Literally, Joe, Nick and me all fell back on the couch, Frankie just laid down in the middle of the floor, Kevin was in his chair and mom and dad were on the loveseat. We all let out a simultaneous sigh and then we all laughed. It was now 6 and we hadn’t even started dinner.
“Well Paul, I think that we all deserve a nice dinner tonight? Clean up and we can go out don’t ya think?” Mom said to dad. He smiled and nodded. We all went upstairs and changed again and then met back downstairs. I put on a nice red dress and heels to match, and Nick was wearing a black button up shirt with his skinny jeans, and a red tie With Red chucks. We laughed because we were matching. Joe was wearing a white button up, and a black tie with skinny jeans and his vans. Kevin was wearing a black button up like Nick, only he had on a white tie to go with it, then he had the skinny jeans and of course, boots. Frankie was wearing a t-shirt under a nice jacket and mom and dad were matching in a nice dark blue dress and a nice suit with a dark blue button up. When we were all ready it was seven. We all got into the cars, Joe, Nick and I went with Kevin and Frankie rode with mom and dad. We went to a really nice restaurant, it was some Italian place, I couldn’t pronounce the name. We talked and laughed just like we would at home, well quieter, but the same at best. When we got home we all went to bed, it was way tiring doing a press conference all afternoon, and plus we’d been running around this afternoon before that when we found out the results.
