So my roomate kidnapped me. Did I forget to mention he's a vampire? [chapter 11]
Chapter 2 : So my roomate kidnapped me. Did I forget to mention he's a vampire? [chapter 22]
A thousand apologies for the wait! Hope you like it!
My hands shook as I gripped the bouqet. My eyes were still red from the hours of tears I had cried. I had no choice, run and I would just be dragged back to this place. And Aiden warned me the gaurds weren't as curtious as he was. Whatever that meant. 'Right foot. Left foot.' I repeated over and over to myself in my head as I slowly trudged my way down the aisle. I had to mentally think about each step I made, like a toddler learning to walk again, I must've looked like a baby horse standing awkwardly. Aiden had a smile on his face, he was probly half a mile away in this huge room. There were more than a thousand people I didn't know, but they all smiled and watched me like as though they'd known me my whole life. I kept having to remind myself to breathe between each step I took forward. Most girls would be happy to have their picture wedding, hot guy, spankin dress, lots of people. All part of vampire hunting families no doubt. But I was miserable. I kept thinking up all these plans, but none of them seem to work. In one of my plans, I pull a Juliet and fake my own death, but I'm a terrible actress, and I don't have a potion to make me pass out for 2 days. I let out a small sigh under my breath as I grew closer to my...groom. My frown deepened as his grin widened. This was wrong, so wrong. Three steps away now, two steps, one step... I stopped. One more step and it would be the rest of my days with Aiden. I closed my eyes and took the last step. What could be the point in just standing there like an idiot, might as well get this over with.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today, blah blah blahhhhh." The preachers words droned on but I wasn't listening. I just stared blankly at Aiden. "Emily..." He whispered so softly under his breath that only I could here. "I know... how this must be for you right now... but I promise, I'll make you the happiest girl alive. We can get a house, kids, a dog, a porch swing. Whatever. Just give me a chance." He said with apologetic eyes. I looked up at him just imagining a little house on the prairie type scenerio before I was snapped back to reality. Maybe Aiden wasn't such a bad guy, I mean, sure he hates vampires and injects himself with their blood. But it's only how he was raised. Other than that he's really.... nice. That's it. Nice. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Aiden," I began in a soft whisper, so quiet that I didn't think he heard me but his expression told me he had. I froze. "Speak now, or forever hold your peace." The preacher said. I listened very intently for an "I OBJECT!" from someone. But the room was quiet. Dead quiet. The music had stopped playing and there wasn't even a cough or anything. "Very well then, do you Aiden, take Emily to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health. Til death do you part?' The preacher asked. "I do." Aiden said very confidently making my heart break in half. I was going to have to hurt him if it meant my freedom. And with that he slipped a diamond ring on my shaky finger. It was beautiful, but it felt like a heavy burden on that finger alone. "It was my mothers..." He whispered to me, his face unreadable.
"And do you, Emily, take Aiden, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, 'til death do you part?" The preacher asked me. My mouth dropped a few inches. This whole time I had been clinging on an inch of hope. Not sure what it was, but it was there, burning like a small ember left from a flame, and just now it went out. This was really it. I was in shock, I managed to control myself so I wouldn't have a panic attack. This was for real. "I...." I stuttered. "Iiiiiii- umm." "I, I, I....." I couldn't spit it out.
"I..." My voice cracked, "I OBJECT!" A loud voice boomed. It suprised me, this voice wasn't my voice. The whole room spun their heads around to see who would dare to interrupt this 'holy matromony'. I smacked my forehead when I put the voice to the face. Romeo stood there, at the doors, alone, no back up. Nothing. Was he an utter idiot!? Going into a room with more than a thousand vampire hunters? I groaned. He was even wearing a tux.
Everyone immediately stood up. "Ladies and vampire hunters. Sit back down, I came here on business, it would be rude to slaughter me in the middle of a wedding." Romeo said walking briskly down the aisle. "Your honor, I cannot allow this man to marry this woman." He said sounding as if we were in a courtroom and not in a wedding. "And why not!?" Aiden hissed standing in front of me protectively. "Because; she's pregnant with my baby." Romeo said.
My mouth dropped, Aiden's mouth dropped, there was a whole room of mouth drops and whispers.
If Romeo didn't think he was dead before, now he was toast.
