Quarter Queen or the girl I used to baby-sit, was now R.I.P she was PKed, and there was no restart button on her game system, “heh”, I snickered, just like me I was always the Otaku around, I zoomed my pale fingers over each hard book reading a few title’s, my vast collection had a wide variety of manga from, Bleach to Naruto and so on and so on, every item in my room was some how related to some anime or manga, my anime dvd’s sat on the ground stacked in alphabetical order.

I turned to my window, a man maybe a year or two older than me walked into the house o Quarter Queen, I guessed he was a detective, but what I found odd was the large jar of jam placed cozily in his hands.

‘Jam’, I mused to my self.

Now I was craving it, “I wonder if we have any jam”.

Empty, the fridge held no jam, I had sworn I bought some last week, I shrugged oh well.

I looked in ever nook and cranny trying to find jam it was hopeless I would have only kept it in the fridge but at least this kept me from, dying from lack of sweety fruitness.

“The car”, I turned remembering I had crashed it last week.

I snapped my fingers, “Damn”.

My ears perked as a light knock came from my door, I examined the clock 3 pm.

“How long have I been on my reckless search”, I scratched my head.

I tried looking through the look out in the door but my damn shortness wouldn’t allow it.

I gave in opening the golden handle, “Hello?”

The boy who had walked into Queen’s house stood before me holding an empty glass jar.

“You wouldn’t happen to have any Jam, Miss”.

“It’s Yi Min”.

He scratched his chin, “A very intelligent name”.

(Yi Min means smart)

“I know heard it a million times”, I waved my hand, “and no I don’t have any jam but your making me crave it so…”

“So….what?”.

I tilted my head, “I don’t know you figure it out”.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I stared at the window his name was Ryuzaki, he sat odd laid on the floor and loved jam, you learned all this from peeping.

“I wonder if he will come over again”, I silently hoped.

I even stocked the fridge with jam, trust me after three hours of eating the stuff you get pretty sick if it, but surprisingly it didn’t seem to effect me, I switched in between instant ramen and gummy worms.

I tried watching invader zim, to keep my mind a frenzy.

Just as Gir pulled the house to the ground rushing to crazy taco, a knock came from the wooden entrance.

I had to say I wasn’t surprised, it was him Ryuzaki, the clear empty jar glistering from the outside light.

“Do you have any-”,

“Yep, come in”, I gestured him in my home.

I reached out my hand asking for the container, he placed it within my hands glancing around the room, I figured he was shock from the millions of manga that lay on every wall of my house.

“Pretty impressive”, he mumbled placing his thumb on his lips.

“Huh”?

“Your manga collection”, he examined each one carefully as I filled up his jar with grape jam.

“One’s missing”.

I twisted my face up I hadn’t been so insulted anime and manga were my life I would never miss a single one.

“Here”, his index finger sliding through the small gap left by the missing book.

I gasped shocked, “but it’s impossible I don’t remember taking that one out”.

I asked my brain for any answers but none came, I grumbled handing Ryuzaki his jar.

He smiled, and I couldn’t help but blush.

----------------------------------------------------------------

It had seemed Ryuzaki made it a habit by stopping by making some lame excuse to stay he often criticized me when one thing was out of order.

But I didn’t mind I enjoyed his company.

“You know the case is almost over and I probably won’t be back”.

I cocked my head, “what do you mean”.

He bit his thumb, “Nothing”.

The next few days no Ryuzaki, one day it had rained I remember the dusted smelling of the atmosphere, and the harsh tension it threw with it.

I tried my best to get out of bed I had been lonely lately, due to the lack of Ryuzaki in my life.

I heard a knock, and slumped my way to the door not expecting anyone in particular.

“Ryuzaki”?

He flashed a cheery grin, “Sorry about that Yi Min”, he rubbed his neck, “But it will be a period of time until I can accompany you again”, I could tell his eye’s were sad and his smile fake, “So here”, he handed me a book.

“This is the missing one”.

I looked to the floor, “I felt like I haven’t given you any thing”.

“No your wrong miss, Yi Min, you gave me the time of my life”, he gently kissed my cheek moving back the loose bits of stranded locks.

He waved once more before closing the door, as I stood in shock, I gently opened the book noticing a small book mark, with the words Beyond Birthday, spelled out in beautiful red pen mans ship.

And that was probably the last time I saw him……………….
