Chapter 12 : Only a Vampire can Love you Forever[Part 7]Kaylyn Back

"Just one?" The woman asked who was wearing a 'Mino's café' tag with the name 'Josaline' printed on it. I thought it was a peculiar name but I pushed my thoughts away and nodded toward her. She seemed to notice that I was looking at her nametag for she said, "My parents have a weird taste in names."
I wasn't a very social type but I was a little desperate for some bit of conversation so I gave her a sweet smile. "I guess so."
Her smile brightened a bit as she stood in front of a booth that I predicted was mine. "So what can I get you to drink?"
"Coffee."
I was addicted to the stuff and sadly most of my bag was full of Starbucks frappoccino's. She nodded her head before heading off to fill my order. It had been awhile since I had actual food so I grabbed one of the menu's and searched for something that looked appetizing. I knew that I wouldn't really enjoy the taste of it but I could tell my mind to freaking taste it. I found a certain dish that seemed to catch my eye and read through the little caption about it and immediately made up my mind.
I gazed around at all the other customers while I waited for my coffee to arrive and I tried to picture myself in each of their places. They all appeared to be care free and enjoying themselves by either talking to their dates or just having a family gathering. I felt emotions start to constrict my heart until it was hard to breathe but luckily before my anger kicked in Josaline arrived with my coffee.
"Are you ready to order?"
I nodded my head while I prepared my coffee with a whole lot of sugar. "I'll have the spaghetti bake."
"Alright."
She left me again to be secluded by myself but at least I had some fresh coffee to keep me company. The coffee seemed a little bitter when I drank it this time so I added more and more sugar until it wouldn't even melt anymore because my coffee was completely saturated. The sugar always seemed to add an extra zing to it, so the frappoccino's I once loved didn't even compare to the coffee's I got at restaurants like this. I wanted to try to save my coffee for my meal so I gazed around again. Why couldn't I have a life like everyone else? I hated this thing I was in because I was alone. I had the Lord but he wasn't one to keep a conversation. I prayed to him everyday it seemed like but the only thing he gave me today was the conversation I had with the waitress. It especially sucked to have any conversation with the people I had to steal from because there was actual guilt involved after I left. I guess I didn't really care about the guilt because that meant I was human and I wasn't a crazy psycho, yet.
Josaline didn't take much longer after that because my thoughts were running a muck in my mind, but when the bowl of spaghetti was placed in front of me my thoughts were quiet. The bowl of spaghetti looked more like a pizza because of the melted cheese on top but I started to mix it all together so it resembled something more like pasta. I dug right on in even though steam was still rolling off of it and even without my burnt tongue I knew I wouldn't have been able to really taste the spaghetti. All it was and all it tasted like was food. Something I needed to survive not something to enjoy. It was a no wonder why in just a couple minutes I was finished.
I wiped my mouth clean because I knew I made a mess but I sat there drinking my coffee and looking outside. It was much darker then what it was earlier and the streetlights were actually on compared to when I arrived without needing my lights on to see. Thoughts of the black suited men were out of my mind even with the darkness coming and all my thoughts were centered on what my life would have been like. Either way I would have been a bad kid, but at least in the other one I could get high or not have to even care about my life. This life was a life I knew I didn't care about but in this one I actually had to live to survive. I could have been one to get drunk and high all the time, but when I thought about it I didn't even know if I would still be that person after that night. If the train had hit me my life would have changed either way I went. I knew if I would have woke up in the ER instead of a slave trade I knew I probably wouldn't have kept drinking. I didn't know how I would have changed after that, but it was a little too late to try to do anything but try to pass high school.
I could go to college and I could have tried to get a decent job, but then it would have been that whole soccer mom idea wouldn't it? I didn't really care at that moment because what did I know Taylor could have come to his senses and asked me to forgive him and I would with even more alcohol in my system. Sadly, I didn't like either of those outcomes but I had to admit they were better choices then the one I was in right now. I didn't want to wallow in my sorrow so I grabbed my backpack and got ready to steal yet another meal. I was just about to get up when someone moved right by my booth. I stopped myself before I ran into them, but I saw that they had black clothes on so I froze. The figure kept walking but didn't pass my booth instead he or she slid down into the seat across from me.
I turned my attention to the figure fearing the worst but when my heart did leap it wasn't from fear. The man sitting across from me brought those same rushing emotions forward and I sat there trying to breath and sort through all the funny emotions that came along from seeing him. Kaylyn was there again, back into my life, sitting right across from me, but why?
While I tried to breath he raised his head from looking down at his hands to look squarely at me. It was a weird sensation that went through me from him looking at me so deeply, but even though it made me bubble inside to the point of explosion I couldn't look away. We just sat there staring at each other for a long time almost like we were having a conversation in the silence. I couldn't believe that he was there and along with all those swarming emotions came swarming questions. How did he get here? Why was he here? How did he find me? The questions were just questions swimming around until I finally decided to get some guts and put them into action.
"What are you doing here?" It wasn't one of my top questions, but it just sort of slipped out.
"I'm not sure." I felt a little embarrassed because when he spoke I felt like I was set free for some reason. It was the same voice I remembered but it was different some how, almost like it was really real. I sat there getting through the sensation of his voice and didn't even think about his answer until a minute later. It must have seemed odd for my face to finally settle into a weird expression after so long but he didn't show any oddity toward it. I didn't like his answer because it meant I had to try to fill in the blocks, but right when I was going to ask another question to help me I heard a car door slam shut.
My body was on high alert when I jerked around and the second I saw the occupants in the car wearing the all-famous vampire squad suit my mind was on a high adrenaline rush. I felt a tid bit of sorrow that I would have to leave Kaylyn for another time but when I turned around he seemed just as alert as me. He was as far off the seat as I was, and ready to move.
"Listen to me, they have a tracking device inside of you." I made that totally shocked appalled face when I heard that, and my brain seemed to sputter around the thought of them being able to track me. I had no use of escaping if they knew at every second where I was. Kaylyn saw that I was freaking out so he immediately shushed me. "I'll go distract them. There's a door in the back of the kitchen. Outside will be a motorcycle with a GPS system. Follow the signal." I didn't get anything passed the time he said he'll distract them mostly because I was still thinking about a tracking device, but it seemed to get programmed in my head either way because I knew I needed to head back into the kitchen. I was surprised he was going to help me and I was even surprised that he recognized the vampires but I guess I shouldn't have been because he obviously knew something about them since he knew they had a tracking device on me. I was scared about the tracking device and I didn't even know how he was going to distract them and why he would do that for me. I couldn't leave without knowing the answer so just before he passed back toward the door I grabbed his arm.
When he turned around and looked at me I lost myself for a moment, "Why are you helping me?"
It was a sudden movement when he grabbed my chin and forced his lips against mine, but it was one that I loved with all my heart. Our lips were melded again for another time in this real world and too soon he pulled away. He kept our faces close but it was just enough to where we could look into each other's eyes without going cross-eyed. "Because you still hate me."
With that said he left to go distract for me. I was so wrapped up in kissing him that I just sort of sat there thinking about what he said to me. I thought it was a little odd for him to say that because I didn't recall telling him that I hated him until I thought of the time at the mall and when I kissed him. I had told him I still hated him, but he remembered that? I was shocked but at the same time enthused by the information because when he kissed me he obviously didn't like the fact that I said I hated him. I didn't know why at that moment, but I didn't care I had some escaping to do. I looked back toward where Kaylyn was walking to intercept the vampires before glancing toward the counter.
I searched for a break in the counter so I could get in, and soon enough one of the waiters walked through a small area so she could get to the new customers. The entry point wasn't too far from me, but it also wasn't too far from where the vampire squad was so I ducked down in my seat and waited for an opportunity to make my getaway. It finally presented itself when Kaylyn and the waitress got into an argument about the newcomers. I made a low dash toward the counter and slid down it until I got to the spot where I could slide behind it and slip into the kitchen. The heat in the kitchen was almost unbearable but I pushed past all the big ovens and cooks, who looked at me oddly, to find an exit door.
"You're not supposed to be back here." One cook said to me trying to stop me but I shoved him out of the way because it was just then I saw the exit door. With a sprint I went past the last cook and rammed into the door. I turned the lever the same time I pushed on the door so it was one fluid motion that lead me outside into the night air. I knew I shouldn't have trusted the night because the vampire guys were going to come after me, but if I hadn't stopped I wouldn't have run into Kaylyn, which I'm pretty sure wasn't by accident. But aside from meeting Kaylyn, I wouldn't have gotten to ride a beautiful black Ducati with red rims.

I stroked my hands against the handlebars forgetting completely that I was escaping and just enjoyed the site of the new bike I was going to be riding. I was slightly shocked that he knew I liked riding bikes, but that was just stuff I needed to ask him later.
I straddled the vehicle and flipped the kill switch with one hand and pressed on the Digital GPS system in the middle of the dash with the other. I waited for the GPS system to come on before I found the keys in the ignition and turned the bike on. The engine purred to life with a sound that was slightly quieter then my Ninja, the bike that I was sadly leaving behind. I couldn't believe that Kaylyn was going through this much trouble to help me, but I wasn't about to complain. Just like Kaylyn said the GPS already had a set destination so without further hesitations I put the helmet into place and got the bike moving. I made a quick map in my head to what directions I needed to go so while driving I didn't look too much. Once I left the parking lot to the dinner I headed off to the right. The GPS system didn't give me exact directions it just blinked with a red star where I need to go so I had to make my own decisions on which road I needed to take, but within a couple minutes I was getting closer and closer to my destination. I had no idea where it was going to take me but even though I knew it was almost impossible I hoped Kaylyn would be there.
When I got onto the road where the marker was I started to grow nervous but the closer and closer I got the more and more I felt disappointed. I pulled the bike over to the exact location of the blinking light and stopped the bike. The GPS was saying 'You're here' but I had no idea where here was because I was in front of an old run down building that had a stupid old rusted bench in front of it. I pulled off my helmet and sighed. No Kaylyn, no nothing, what did he expect me to do now? I was expecting to get a house or at least another public place, but what I got was a run down street.
Just then I started to hear an annoying ring that set my nerves on end. The first thing that any human would do is search for the sound of the annoying ringing so I looked around from on top of my bike. There wasn't anyone around so I knew it wasn't coming from anyone but it was still ringing off its butt. Since I couldn't find it from on top of my motorcycle I got up and headed toward the bench. It seemed to be coming from the old worn out wooden thing so I stopped in front of it and waited for the ring to come again. When it did come I bent down to where the sound was coming from and looked under the bench to find a cell phone taped to the bottom of it.
I felt it was a little odd for a phone to be taped to the bottom of a bench so I peeled it off. I sat down on the bench and looked at the small phone that appeared to be nothing but a track phone. That would probably explain the annoying ring but I flipped it over to the display screen to find what the ringing was about. It had a new text message so without even thinking about it I opened it up.
Go to Walgreens
My face turned to a perplexed interested one and clicked the text gone. There wasn't anything on the phone that it would hint that it was anyone's phone but I couldn't help but think that the text was directed to me. Kaylyn just kept surprising me because how the hell could he set that up to where I would land at a bench and answer the text. If anyone would have found the phone before I did they could have thought it was a text from God and went to Walgreens, but it was a little lucky that I found it first then. But it was to weird because he would have known I would have stopped in this correct town and all that stuff to know to set it up. If what he said about them having a tracking device was true then did that mean he also had one on me? It felt to weird to think about so without further thought I tucked the phone into my pocket and jumped onto my bike. The GPS system was a little interesting to figure out, but it was a touch screen so quite handy. I typed in Walgreens and go the closest one that was only five or six blocks away.
I put on the helmet and got the bike moving again to the next place. I sped most of the way so I got there fast and parked as close to the building as I could get. I quickly learned which direction to fix the handles so then I could lock it and once it was in place I headed into the Walgreen's. The automatic door opened and I stepped through with an open mind. I had no idea what I was suppose to do here but I was hoping Kaylyn would pop up in one of the aisles so I went past each of them. There were only a couple customers and the workers in the place but I still looked again this time at the bottom of the aisles. I was about to quit looking around and head out to the motorcycle when the annoying phone in my pocket started to ring.
A lady who was in the same aisle as me looked toward me with a face that said shut that thing up so I walked over to the next aisle while trying to fish the thing out of my pants. Once I had it free I checked the new text so it would shut up.
Photo section ask for photo's for Sam
I felt a little relieved because that meant the phone was directed at me, but it meant no Kaylyn. I didn't even know why I was doing this anyway I should have just taken off with his motorcycle, but I was just too curious to let this go. I wanted to know what was going on in his mind now more then ever. I looked around though and headed off toward the photo section.
"Can I help you?" The girl behind the counter said.
"Photo's for Sam?" I couldn't help but feel retarded for asking because I had no idea if there was actually going to be any here.
"Sam…" She had a bright smile on her face when she said my name but she quickly snapped out of her happy thoughts and went toward the little file thing so she could find my photo's. Her reaction was a little weird and I couldn't help but feel like she checked me out but I didn't care there was actually another clue. "Here you are."
She handed the package right over to me and I found that it was heavier then what usual photos would be. I gave her a sweet smile almost like a question as to if I could leave because I knew I would probably have to pay for something but she just smiled back like I could leave. I let it go with a shrug and headed back out to the motorcycle. I didn't open the package until I was sitting on the bike. Then after I was on the bike I tore the thing open to find something that looked like another GPS system. I tossed the bag thing it was in and turned the thing on. It took a couple moments to load and then it showed another map with a blinking star. I sighed because I didn't feel like following another clue but I strapped on my helmet and got the bike into gear.
The destination was a little longer this time but I raced through the city a little faster because there was that hope that it was the last spot and I would be in front of Kaylyn again. I started to fear that possibility a little because I had no idea what this guy wanted with me, but my heart still trusted him so I went.
Sadly enough the next place was a gas station and since the blinker was a little off the bike I parked the thing and entered the gas station. It was a red casey's and the inside was like the first gas station I stole from, small. I looked around the aisles slowly waiting for another text or just for something to happen. I started to think about the phone ringing at the right time because it was a little weird that it knew I was right there or whoever was sending these texts knew I was there. It must have been vampire intuition or something but whatever the case I went toward the candy section and waited.
I jumped when I heard something but it wasn't the annoying ring of my cell phone instead it was a familiar song by the band "Alesana." I looked around the gas station for someone who owned the phone but there was only the worker who was looking directly at me. I stared back at her with the same expression but since she wasn't looking for a phone I knew that the phone needed to be found. I went to the next aisle over where I heard the sound coming from and put my ear close to the left shelf and started walking by all the stuff until the song got louder and louder. I moved my ear all around until I found the exact place of the crazy hot singing. The next thing I knew I was ripping open a cheapo box of cheerios looking for the cause of the music. It would seem the Kaylyn of this world still had the same taste of music because I pulled out a better phone that had that as the ringtone. I opened the flip phone and saw that it had a new picture message.
I opened the text message up and found a picture of something that said, "Platform 33 Buffalo Wyoming." Then at the bottom of the text it said, across the street
I turned around and looked across the street to find a building that had a sign in the front. I couldn't read the sign from where I was so I left the gas station without a care in the world that I was leaving scattered cereal bits that I didn't pay for all over the floor. I didn't even bother to get on my motorcycle since I knew I would have to get on the train and just jogged my way over to the train station.
I opened the glass door to show a room that looked like a huge waiting room but I only looked around at everyone before heading toward the front desk. There was someone in front of me so I waited for my turn. I probably looked like a really impatient person with my foot tapping and looking forward to see if the person in front of me was done, but I couldn't help it I wanted to see Kaylyn again. His face kept popping up into my mind until finally the person in front of me stepped aside.
"Can I help you?" The woman said.
