“How do you know that?” I questioned. “How do you know that we’ll find each other? What if we never do?”

I laid in my bed, staring up at the ceiling. My windows were wide open and all I could hear was the soft sound of birds chirping, it calmed me. I rolled over on to my side and breathed in a breath of fresh air. An idea suddenly flew into my mind and I quickly reached for a pen and my notebook. I scribbled the words down on the piece of paper hurriedly. I picked up the notebook, surveyed my work, made a few slight changes, and shut the cover of the book. I heard a soft knock at my door and got up and walked towards the front of my house. I opened up the door and saw Jason and Pat standing there.
“We got beer.” Jason informed me smiling, holding up the beer to prove it. I grinned.
“Come in.” I told them.
We sat down on the couch in my living room and placed the beer case on the coffee table. I turned on ESPN as we each took a beer. I took a sop before opening up my mouth and speaking.
“I just wrote a new possible song for the cd.” I said to the guys.
“Oh, cool.” Pat answered, nodding his head along with Jason. “Can we see it?” I nodded.
“Yeah, of course.” I stood up and headed into my room. I grabbed my notebook and as I was walking back to the living room, flipped open to the page.
“It’s called ’Intensity In Ten Cities.’ “ I said as I handed the book over to Pat. Him and Jason read it over for a few moments before grinning.
“Dude.” Jason started. “I seriously have no idea how you managed to come up with these amazing lyrics.”
“Seriously, it’s mind blowing.” Pat agreed.
“Thanks.” I told them, smiling as they were. We all sat in a comfortable silence for a little while, just taking sips from out beers.
“Just so you know.” Jason said, breaking the silence. “We don’t know how the other guys feel about it, but we’re gonna help you find Melissa.”
“Yeah, completely.” Pat said. “We’ll do whatever it takes to help you find her.
“Thank you guys, really.” I told them again.
It was such an amazing and relieving feeling to know that your friends would help you find the one person you’d kill to see again.
