Vampires&Princes, why does it happen to me?

I opened my eyes and saw people I didn't even know.

What the heck was going on? and why were there three men in MY bedroom that I didn't know?

"Aubrielle, sweetheart, can you hear me?" I closed my eyes for a second, then looked at where the sound came from. Bebby, it was just Bebby, she could explain to me what was going on.

"Bebby.." I whispered, just barely loud enough for her to hear.

"Ahh, that's a good sign! She's finally waking up. I'll go tell everybody." And the tallest man walked out of the room after that.

I cleared my throat "Bebby. What's going on?" She sat down on the chair beside me, checked some papers and looked at me.

" What all do you remember?"

"everything." she laughed

"well why are you asking me what's going on then?" I pointed to the two men still in the room. "Ohh, these are just some friends from the other world, they had to come help save you hunny. They're medical people. You don't have to be afraid of them."

"Ahh.. well.. thank you for saving my life." I said as I looked at them again, unsure.

"Of course, my queen, we couldn't of just let you die." said the one with brown hair. I looked at them shocked, nobody's called me their queen before. Was I supposed to salute them or give them gold?

"You two can go now, I think she'll be fine from now on." They nodded at Bebby, bowed at me and left.

"Was I supposed to do something Bebby?" I asked, getting up so I could sit on my bed. Still with wires in my arms.

"No, you did perfectly well, don't worry about it." there were footsteps running up the stairs and the door slammed open to show my dad.

"DAD!" "AUBRIELLE!" and he came and hugged me. "How do you feel Aubrielle?"

"Much better, I'm actually hungry."

"I'll go get you something!" Bebby said, getting up

"Oh no, I feel like I haven't walked in ages. I'd rather grab something myself."

"Alright dear." bebby said, still leaving but going to the bathroom.

"So aubrielle, are you sure you feel better? You're not going to faint on me right now, are you?"

I laughed at his odd humor, and got up to head for the door. "Of course not dad. I'm great, don't worry. Did you check the mail? I'm supposed to be getting the sweater I ordered."

"Not yet, I'll go check it right now though." we both walked down the stairs. I went to the kitchen and he went to the front door. I got myself some cereal, and by the time I got to the couch, I looked over to see what my dad was doing so quietly.

"Are you okay dad?"

"We have another problem. BEBBBBYYYYYY!!!"

"What is it David?"

"It's the other world. They sent a letter saying they were going to pay a visit soon. I swear I called them the other day, I payed my yearly visit too.. didn't I? AHhh."

"David! How could you be so.. UGH! what if they came today? We have to get Aubrielle out, and fast"

"I just started eating myh cereal though. Where am I going to go? I don't want to leave!"

"I think we have to send you to my brother's cousins, half sister's-"

"BEBBY! just get done with it." my dad pulled off

"Well her house. She lives in the underworld, I know that you can be safe there."

"The underworld." my dad said in monotone at the same time I said it shocked.

"Well it's the only place where they wont look. I'll call Marie right now, she even has a son... i think.. maybe it's a daughter."

She went to call, and the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it dad. why don't you just go and.. watch football?" I walked over to the door, and of course, opened it.

"Hey Aubrielle." I looked up to find Steven's eyes. Shivers down my spine.

"Hey Steven?" I said surprised.

"You weren't in school today, so I brought you some notes and all.. are you alright?" for the slightest second, it sounded like he actually cared?

"Yeah, i uh.. I.. think I have the flu or something."

"You are lame at lying." I laughed, even when I tried it's true, I couldn't get far. "So can I come in?"

"Actually, it's a mess and I don't think you should come in..there's way to much stuff going on here. Thanks for the homework though." I grabbed the books, and pulled them towards me until I noticed I was touching his hand.. his soft hand.

"I like you Aubrielle." He pulled his hand out, and placed it on top of mine. I stood there for a minute looking at him, unsure of what to say.

"I'm with Vince." and I went inside and closed the door.

"Who was that?" Bebby asked curiously.

"It was Steven, he brought me my homework." I said

"Well I'm afraid you wont need that, you're going to Marie's until the people come see David."

"Is she a good person?" my dad asked

"Of course, she's nice. You know you can trust her if I'm telling you too David!"

"I know I know.. Go pack some stuff Aubrielle." I headed for my room. Dropped the papers on my desk and started packing my clothes. Thinking of what I had just done.
