Another [Not so] Typical Teenage Romance

"OH MY GOD! LINDA??" I ran and hugged my older sister. Her university in London makes it harder. We all love Linda, especially my little broher Shay.

"Lin Lin!" He shouted as he attempted to run to her. He'sonly 3 years old.

"Hey you guys!"

"Hunny? Oh dear lord, what a great surprise!" My mother dove in and hugged her. "Oh dear," She said "What have you done with you're hair?"

"Do you like it?"

"Uh..sure darling, I think you look beautiful no matter what colour you're hair is!"

"Whats the big noise down there?" My dad came down the stairs. "Oh, my god. Linda dear! You look so grown up!"

I laughed.

My dad was on his way to work, we don't get to see him as much, but I guess thats what happens when you work for the FBI.

"Daddy!" Linda and My Father probably got along more then Him and I did, or him and Becca.

"Let me get you're suitcase hunny." My mom turned to me. "Be dear Cammy, get you're Sister's suitcases." I laughed.

Linda was defianatly the favourite around her.

"Oh mom, its okay. I just want to spend some time with my sisters. Speaking of which, where's Becca?"

Everyone turned to me. "And I'm suppose to know?"

Dad sighed. "I need to go guys. I'm working late, don't wait up." My mom kissed him on the cheek and he left.

"Uh mom...?"

"Yes Cammy?"

"werent you Cooking?"

Linda burst into laughter "since when does Mom cook?"

"You've been gone a long time Sis."

She laughed. Mom went to the kitchen.

"C'mon Lin, Lets go upstairs, I think Becca's in her room."

"Aaron? Aaron? Hello?" Corey was waving his hands frantically. "Dude! whats wrong with you?" He started shaking me.

I snapped out of thought. "Sorry C, I was...thinking."

" 'Bout what?"

"Uh.."

"Oh no, its 'bout that hottie aint it? Boy, I've neva seens you like this. Are you really into her?"

"I dunno, she's different then the rest, I guess."

People started getting up, I guess the movie was over.

Corey sighed. "You're getting yourself messed. Emotionaly. I'll Drive you home, you better get some rest."

I nodded. "Alright." It was kind of tense, so I tryed to change the subject. "Did you study for the Cem test?"

"what Cem test?"

I laughed. "The one tomorow! You had all week to study, and I reminded you evry day. How could you forget?"

He shrugged. "It slipped my mind."

Becca Hugged Linda when she found out she came home. "Oh em gee! When are you leaving?"

Linda frowned. "In 2 days."

"When are you coming back?" I asked.

"In the summer, we're going to hawaii!"

I laughed. "I cant wait."

"Me neither!" Becca said excitedly "Do you know how many hot guys are in Hawaii?"

"Yes..."

We all started laughing. "I miss these times, Why'd you have to go Lin?"

"Cams, I had to. I need to graduate if I want to be a sergent!"

I nodded. "Yeah, But you still suck for leaving."

We spent the next 2 hours filling Linda in on whats happening in Meckenzie.

We laughed at her reaction when we told her who's dating whom, who got pregnant, and most imprtontly, The gossip. I wasnt really into the whole thing, But I knew most of it because Becca wouldn't shut up.

You see, the 'Green Girls' have a history of going to Meckenzie high and begin popular. Even my mom was popular. But I really have no interest in it. I mean, who cares about popularity? Well, half of my family's generation but thats beaside the point...

"Ok girls, listen up. I wanted to tell you two first."

Me and Becca looked at Linda, then back to eachother, and then to Linda.

"You know Nick right?"

I nodded. Becca knew where this was going. I didnt...

"Well...he proposed!"

"Oh my god Lin! Thats great." I smiled.

Becca sqealed. "When are you telling mom and dad?"

"I'm hoping tomorow."

"I wish you the best." I said. I knew Mom would be thrilled, but knowing dad, he'd start researching 'Nicks' background ASAP.

Linda smiled. "Thanks lil' sis, I'm going to need it."
