Negumi layed on a hospital bed, and it wasnt much fun. It happened again later that evening, where those weird symtoms have been conjuring up inside her. As she had gotten to her apartment door she had noticed that the sake bottles Kankuro had emptied were no longer there, instead, they were probably in some janitors trash bag.
As she opened her door she felt a little dizzy, she hadnt ate anything that day so she decided it was just her hunger beginning to take effect. But once she had filled her stomache to it's limit, things only proceded on. Negumi thought of the consequences if she hadnt came to the hospital at that moment, or else she might have died in her living room, with blood stained on the floor as she had coughed it up. But she didnt take any chances.
As she lay there, as if penetrated to any outside noise, she thought of any reason at all, of why this strange sickness had taken over her. All Negumi wanted to do was live the rest of her life in Suna, do a few memorable things, then die. Although she had other intentions before the massacre of her village. And as she met different people, the more she was warming up to the rest of the world, always awaiting for something exciting to come up. What had she gotten herself into?
Negumi's trail of thoughts broke at an instant when she heard the door open. She was a mess, she didnt want to see anyone, even the medic, so she turned on her side and pulled up the sheets.
Negumi didnt have to strain her ears to hear someone laugh a little. She frowned as she could reconize the voice of her caretaker but she could also hear footsteps of one more person.
"Looks as if she doesnt want any company right now."
"This will only take a moment." Negumi could hear the familiar monotone voice echo through the room as she shot up from bed.
"Gaara what are you doing here?"
Two heads turned to meet her gaze.
"I need to speak to you." The Kazekage spoke freely as he nodded his head at the medninja to leave the room. As the door shut he took a few steps forward and rooted his feet to the ground. Negumi could feel her heart speed up as she could sense blood diffusing at the start of her cheeks. Why am I always like this? I need to calm down! Negumi upbraided to herself as she pushed the rest of her thoughts away.
"Is there something wrong?" Her voice felt raspy as she sat in the bed.
"Since you seem to be in this uncontrolable state with on and off mishaps, I will be temporarily taking you off the role of a jonin."
"WHAT?!" Negumi practically screamed, earning a small flinch from Gaara. She tried to get out of bed and retort but recoiled back and hesitated as she coughed. Gaara came to her side but pushed him away. "I'm fine." She persisted as she sat at the foot of her bed. She couldnt believe this! She was perfectly capable of going on missions with this stupid indispostion, it wasnt like she couldnt handle this on her own. She wasnt a child anymore. Yet there was something in the back of her mind saying that he was somewhat right. If something would have happened to her then it would be the end. Well, not like he sends me on missions anyway.
Negumi closed her eyes tight and clenched the sheets in her fists. "Alright." She took a deep sigh and stood up. "So I'm sure you have lots more paperwork to attend to?" She stood in front of him as her eyes were fixed involuntarily on his. In an akward silence, the Kazekage averted his gaze away and looked down, "I should be on my way then, you should get some rest." To Negumi's surprise he took her hand and unfolded her fingers, setting something cold and small in the palm of her hand and closed it again.
"Temari told me about everything that Kankuro had said to her. Now that he knows, he wanted me to say to you that he regrets ever hurting you. So this was his apology.." The sand ninja hesitated for a moment and shifted from one foot to another willingly, "I helped him make it." He gave a rare smile before removing his hand from Negumi's. All she could do was look at him deeply and tried to register everything that he said. Without looking stupid, she looked down, "Thankyou." The kunoichi looked back up a Gaara before he set past her to the door. Turning his head around to take one last glance at her, she moved a bit just to get her blood flowing again. Then he dissapeared.
Negumi could have sworn that she was going insane. It took her a while until her heartbeat slowed and evened out as her body began functioning properly again. Wasnt this condition of hers torture enough? What was it about Gaara that made her feel so...so...
her mind pulled a blank on the word.
She quickly remembered the small item that he had placed in her hand. Cautiously lifting it- as if she were afraid of what might be hidden behind her palm- she unfurled her fingers as her eyes lay upon a small, metallic lavaliere, taken shape of a circle with her..clan's symbol incised into it. Negumi's face brightened to a smile as she looked at the door Gaara decsnded out of. Reluctantly, she took the two ends of the metal-like string and hooked them together behind her neck. Taking her forefigner, she traced the small lines as she thought of Kankuro. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath she suddenly remebered where she was. The hosptial, Negumi thought to herself, I need to gain control over my stamina and strength begore I go anywhere. Stepping aside finally, she went over to open her window and let the strong desert breeze flow into the room. Watching the small peices of sand brush against the wooden floor, she felt the hotness of the atmosphere reach her cheeks. She let it consume her into reverie. The Suna climate, she loved it. She had been fond of the heat and let it remind her every time she felt sand move under her feet. Sand. A tiny voice echoed in her mind. That was one of the things that helped her remember how much she loved the warmth. This was where she belonged.....no, not the hospital, but the town. Even if she had never admitted it- even to herself- she always knew that she was happy where she was. Yes, she had mentioned it to herself once, twice maybe, that she would have loved to move from Suna, but be hesitant about leaving everyone who inhabitated the city. Now she knew that she was wrong. She could have never managed to live anywhere else. She would have been far from content. The only reason why she ever felt that way was because of her frustration with her own life.
Negumi nodded her head as she agreed with her own thoughts. Opening her eyes she looked out into the sandy urban with it's people making there way back to there own homes. The sun was making its way down in the sky, as it's pink, purple, and creamy-ish hues followed in its path where the dark navy blue awaited at the top with it's impearled stars. Sighing, Negumi suddenly regretted everything she had done, including ever joining the ANBU. She was never cut out to be one, the only reason they allowed her was because of that special jutsu of hers. "But thats gone now, its not in my blood.." Her voice trailed off as she couldnt figure out why it was even possible for it to disappear. Numerous hours of training, using up here chakra, just hoping that the only thing left of her clan would somehow reappear again. She shook her head as she shifted her feet from one to another. Looking at the hospital bed, she took a few steps to sit at its edge.

"Alright, the papers are set, you are excused from the hospital." The secretary smiled as Negumi headed out the door. Two days had passed since she was forced to come here out of her own will and still, something inside her didnt feel right. Scratching the side of her neck, she decided to head back home in hope to do something.
To her dismay though, once she opened her apartment door, she looked inside to find everything the same. Same couch, same kitchen, same stuff, everything.
"Well, what am I suppose to expect?" The kunoichi sighed and locked her apartment once again as she headed down the stairs.
"You..you horrid beast!" Negumi turned her head around as she saw an older woman with practically half of the village behind her. Angry faces with fisted hands were looking at her with disgust.
"Yes! Thats her, she's the one who killed my son!"
"What?!" She froze as she shook her head in confusement. Taking a step forward a man cut through.
"Not another step! You die here." The man, what seemed like to be a ninja gaurded the large crowd with a couple others. Nodding her head more viciously, Negumi choked out her words. "What do you mean, I did nothing!"
On the contrary, a few days ago, during the Suna festival a young boy had got seperated from his mother and disappeared that night. Normal height for a six year old, dark brown hair, do you recall ever seeing him? Villagers do; they say you were the one last seen with him." Negumi suddenly remembered the boy at the festival. Yes, he had dark hair, as she tried to help him, he had just ran away. There has to be a way out of this. "It's a misunderstading! Yes I saw the child, he ran into me but-"
"So she admits it!" She heard someone say in the crowd, but didnt care to see who.
"No! If you'd just listen!"
"We already have enough proof." The ninja spoke again as he pulled out a poster. Great. Not that again. Wheres the Kazekage? And as if reading her thoughts, another ninja with an ANBU mask on spoke. "The Kazekage left early moring with his assistant and siblings do go on a very important mission for the sake of our alliances with our neighbooring country's. And he left me in charge of making sure that the village is kept at content." Negumi reconized the mask that the ninja wore. He was the one she hated the most while she was apart of the ANBU; and there was no way she'd get out of this. One thing ran through her mind. Death.
Biting her lip, she had no idea what to do; if she were to fight her own people, she would only get into more trouble, and that was something that didnt need to be added onto her shoulders. As she lifted her hand, the villagers hesitated as the shinobi took out thier kunais', ready to attack. Negumi could only do one thing...

OMG what will happen?!?!!?
Kinda corny, I know. Kinda short. :)
