Fire And Ice INFO [Lupin and Snape love story]
Chapter 3 : Fire and Ice part 2 Detention
part two hope you like it.
Detention.
Snape has been watching Ember for a few days. She was unlike any one else. She didn’t talk much. When she did it was either to piss someone off, say something sarcastic or to do the legendary Slytherin smirk or glare. Snape had apparently found a new hobby.
Ember had noticed the attractive potions master. She found out that he was 29, single and straight. Only 10 years. That isn’t too bad. ;P
“Detention for talking, Miss Smith.” Snape snarled. Ember glared at him. He almost regretted it but he saw the plan unravel in her mind as well as his. Oh, she was his.
“Fine.” She said, disguising her lust very well.
Meanwhile, the same thing happened in the Defense against the Dark Arts class. Lupin had been watching marie and it wasn’t as if she didn’t notice.
During Ember’s detention, Snape asked her a lot of questions.
“What’s your favorite color?”
“Red.” She answered. He nodded. “Like my hair.” She laughed. It was a very musical laugh. She was grading first year’s papers with him for her detention.
“Do you like the cold?”
“Hardly. It bloody icey out. My fire can’t withstand it. I hate winter.”
“You’re fire.”
“I’m a pyro.” She demonstrated. She held up her hand and a ball of fire appeared in her hand.
“Brilliant. What else can you do?”
“I’m an empath, telepath and I’m telekinetic. But I don’t like to use them too much.” She said and giggled at his facial expression. It was in awe.
“But my sister, doesn’t use it at all. I may have, sort of, maybe, just possibly may have burned someone, on,” She used air quotations. “Accident.” She giggled at the memory.
“You’re close to your sister.”
“I am. Dumbledore destroyed my parents so I had to rely on my sister just as she did me. The school kept us alive, physically, psychically, emotionally, food-wise. I am thankful to the wizarding community.” She said very matter-of-factly.
Snape was in awe.
“But I am the older, therefore better.” Ah, there it was, the famous Slytherin attitude. She always used it. She was quite a girl.
“I took care of my sister when she was sick, without being asked. I am probably one of the nicer Slytherins. Being nice to a Gryffindor, it isn’t unheard of.” She said, grading another paper. Snape looked at her with intensity.
“What do you mean?”
“Draco and Harry, obviously. If those two can be together, than anyone can befriend an enemy.” Snape’s eyes grew to the size of watermelons.
“Potter and Malfoy?” Ember rolled her eyes. “What? This is a serious matter.”
“They aren’t together yet. They just like each other. What are you, homophobic or something?” She asked amused.
“No. Sirius found someone. His ‘partner.’ He’s okay I guess.” He said sadly.
“You’re worried that you will never find someone like that. Don’t worry, Severus Snape. You’ll find someone who will love you the way you’ve always dreamt of since you first realized you loved Lily and your feelings wouldn’t ever be returned.” She said wisely.
All he could do was try to analyze her. Who was this girl?
“Well, my detention is over, until next time, Snape.” She stood gracefully, and strode out the door, her Slytherin cloak billowing out behind her. It was black with green velvet on the inside. He just looked after her.
Well, that girl just spent two hours with the terrifying Professor Snape and she didn’t cringe once. She wasn’t scared. She wasn’t afraid. She wasn’t even nervous.
He rushed to McGonagall.
“Headmaster.” He breathed once he reached her office. Her cat was perched on the window sill, sleeping. She was soaking in the sun’s rays. She purred lazily.
“Yes, Severus?” She said kindly. She always had this reassuring tone to her voice. All the students liked her. Even Slytherin. She was fair and listened to both sides.
“Who is this Ember girl?” He asked a little more emotion seeping into his tone than he hoped for.
“Well, I see you have found some interest in her. I thought you might. Well, she is a little more devilish than her sister.”
“Obviously. She is in slytherin.”
“Yes, she has an attitude that shines through. She has a fiery personality. She is quite like you. She is smart, crafty, intelligent, sneaky, and knows what she wants.”
“And wise.”
“What?” She said innocently. She knew that Ember would be a good effect on Severus. He needed a stable relationship in his life. He was thoroughly depressed since everyone around him, even his own students, had fallen in love at least once and he hadn’t. He thought he loved Lily but he got over that, when she fell for that stupid Potter.
Personally Snape liked Harry better than James and he had Lily’s eyes. Even if James was his adoptive father, he still liked Harry better. He resembled Tom Riddle quite a lot. It was rather amusing.
“She told me I’d find love eventually.”
“She isn’t wise, she was stating the obvious.”
“Hello. This is bloody me we’re talking about. I could never find love, not with a nice girl, someone who was fun, funny, calm and just my dream girl.” McGonagall smiled inwardly when he described Ember
Lupin had invited Marie to a study session out by the lake near a big tree when everyone was at Hogsmeade.
“Hello Professor.”
“Ah, Miss Smith.” She smiled and sat down and looked at the water.
“I could get used to this.”
“What?”
“Looking at the water everyday. Its really relaxing.”
“Yes. It is.”
“Of course, Ember would say something along the lines of, ‘Marie, why would you want to watch water, jeez go watch running water or something. Goddamn ice people.’ She loves fire. She loves watching the flames lick firewood. She is a pyro. She loves summer and heat. Like fall is her favorite season. I love winter.” She said and smiled and giggled softly. “I’m sorry, I am rambling.”
“It’s fine. You seem close to your sister.”
“She was there when Dumbledork killed our parets. She took it upon herself to raise me even if she was the same age as me. She is smarter, wiser, more adult than I am. I am a kid at heart.” She giggled.
“Me too. Sev always tells me to grow up.” She tilted her head in confusion. ‘god, don’t do that. She looks so cute.’ Lupin thought to himself.
“Sev?”
“Professor Snape.”
“Ah, you are friends, with Potions Master Snape?”
“Yes.”
“I think he has a thing for my sister. He watches her.” She giggles softly into her manicured pink nails.
“really? I must say that is interesting hair.”
“Oh thanks. It natural. I don’t do anything to it. Maybe wave it a little, but I never put the purple in. Ember said that I was born with the purple in my air, due to the ice.” She smiled sweetly. “Kind of like the red in her hair, that is natural. She cuts her hair though.” She opened her book. “What are hippogriffs?” She asked.
“We have one here. It’s a really big eagle, basically. They have a strong sense of honor. You must bow to one before you approach it, if it bows back you can approach. Then if it likes you, you can ride it.”
“Awesome! I love mythical creatures. Ember and I have dragons. Ember knows a lot of people and she got me a purple dragon. Ooh look there she is now.” She pointed to the sky and Remus saw two dragons coming towards Hogwarts. One was purple, the other red.
“Purple is my favorite color.” She said happily. She was clapping her hands together as her dragon landed. Her twin appeared next to her.
“Hello Remus.” Severus’ cool voice said.
“Hello. How’d you get here?” He nodded to the other twin. She was nuzzling the red dragon that had steam streaming from his nostrils. She looked positively terrifying.
“Professor Snape. This is Ruby, my dragon.” She said respectfully. She bowed to Lupin out of respect. This girl had a high sense of respect and honor. Of course she would be a slytherin.
“Let’s go see Hagrid.” Ember said to Marie. Marie agreed. They led their dragons away and the boys talked in private.
