four lads, one lady (mcfly) 1: dead and gone

Jake put ‘’wonderful night’’ on. We started to dance me doing my usual dance moves impressing everyone who was looking and Danny just fooling around doing ‘running man’ and similar. We had fun but it wasn’t really our type of song. After that Jake put on ‘‘groove is in the heart’’ by Deee-lite, one of my ultimate dancing favourites and I squealed and shouted so that Danny could hear me;

‘’ wait here, I’ll bee right back!’’ I ran of to find my dancing mates. I found Kylie and Patricia doing our choreography to this song not so far away. I grabbed their hands and pulled them back to where Danny stood and all three of us started to dance around him, leaving him standing uncomfortable in the middle. It wasn’t very nice of us but he got saved by Carl and jimmy that came up and started battling us. Since we where three and they where just two they dragged Danny into it paying not attention to his tries of protests. The crowd formed a ring around us standing there clapping and shouting. Patricia, me and Kylie continued with our choreography earning shouts and cheers from the crowd. The guys did some break dance and Danny just stood there looking like he didn’t know what to do but when jimmy and Carl where finished and stood looking at him waiting for him to make a move he jumped up pulling his legs up and twisted like he did one of his skateboard tricks ending standing with his arms crossed looking cool. Jake ended the song and the crowd was over Danny wanting to ask him how he did it or just wanting to touch him. Me and the girls laughed and tried to escape all the people and then they where of to find their friends. I walked back to find Melissa, Harry, dougie, Jenna, Danielle and tom all huddled around Danny joking and laughing.

‘’ hey that was amazing! I didn’t know you could dance!’’ I said.

‘’ I can’t either, I just jumped.’’ He said laughing then he said:

‘’ hey wait right here everybody, I’m just going to ask Jake a question’’ he ran of leaving us talking excitedly. Before he got back a very familiar song started to play.

‘’aaahh!’’ I screamed turning to the girls as the sound of motion city soundtrack’s ‘everything is alright’ reached their ears. They screamed back and started to jump singing along. Danny got back and joined in the jumping and singing that had spread through the group. Everybody knew the song and loved it to.

We screamed/sang jumping and dancing almost getting dizzy. Our attitude went like a fire thru the crowd and soon even mums and dads where on the dance floor jumping. The mood was so high that it was like motion city soundtrack where playing live. When the song was over everyone in our little ‘group’ except for Jenna staggered out on the grass away from the dance floor but we didn’t get far before everybody collapsed either by exhaustion or laughter at dougie’s dance moves. We lay in couples, dougie and Danielle, Harry and Melissa, me and Danny and tom off course sitting alone. After he had calmed down a bit he said;

‘’ I’m going back now guys’’

‘’ why?’’ Danny asked lifting his head up to look at him.

‘’Well… I met this girl Giovanna and she seems to really like me’’ tom said blushing.

‘’ oohohoo… Tommy!’’ Harry dougie and Danny teased him.

‘’ shut up, guys!’’ I said.

‘’you go find her tom, and blow her away!’’ I said encouraging.

‘’ yeah, you go boy!’’ Melissa said and Danielle added;

‘’ good luck!’’

‘’ thanks girls!’’ he said and stood up

‘’ you’re nice unlike someone else…’’ he said meaning and walked of.

‘’ Danielle, how about we get back too?’’ Melissa asked

‘’ yeah we’d better.’’ She answered and stood up.

‘’ are you coming?’’ she said to dougie

‘’ but why? I’m comfortable!’’ he said.

‘’ oh come on, up you go!’’ she pulled him up and Melissa did the same to Harry. They walked back to the tents as I snuggled up on Danny chest, and he put his arm around me.

‘’ wow look at the sky!’’ he said after a while of silence.

‘’hmm…’’ I said sleepily. It was getting late and Danny was so warm and comfortable to snuggle up to. I looked up and immediately came clear awake. The sky was filled with sparkling stars and contained a beautiful pearl coloured slice of moon.

‘’ wow…’’ I repeated his word sighing. He looked at me but I didn’t realise it at first. Slowly I could feel his eyes moving all over me and looked up at him. He looked away when he realised I had caught him but I sat up and so did he though still not looking at me.

‘’ Danny…’’ I said placing my hand on his chin making his head turn towards me. He looked me deeply into my eyes uncovering the most hidden places of my soul, seeing right thru my insecure outside into what my heart really wanted.
