Chapter 33 : jasmined. (chapter thirty one)

"Get on" Adrien said with a cute smile. Anna was already sitting behind Julien, her arms wrapped around his waist. I hesitantly stepped on the bike trying to be as lady like as possible in my dress, although that was quite near impossible. I guess being lady like would have to wait till after tonight.
I quickly straddled my legs over the seat. Hoping no one would see too much of me. I heard 'whoos' from the car speeding by us. I shook my head in embarassment.
Julien sped past us with Anna's beautiful blonde curls flying in the wind. I watched them. Anna looked so happy.
"Why are you so scared?" Adrien asked me smirking. I faked a smile. "Oh it's nothing, I just don't normally ride motorcylces" I said. It wasn't a complete lie. Sure I was mostly just thinking about Josh, but the motorcylce thing was partially a reason. Adrien unbuckled his helmet and placed it on my head. He lowered his hands to my neck to buckle the strap. I gulped hard and he chuckled. "Don't worry, love" Adrien winked. "I'll keep you safe" he assured me. I smiled as he turned his head to face the street. "Hold on" he said before speeding off. I held on to him tightly for dear life. My eye shut tightly as I burrowed my head in his back. He chuckled. "You won't see the sights like that" he yelled over the sound of cars driving by.
I lifted my head slightly and opened my eyes. It was beautiful. Adrien pointed out the incredible structures in front of us. His words didn't make much sense to me, just ramblings about things I had no knowledge of. Although I do remember him saying something about the Louvre Museum.
I could still see Anna and Julien in front of us. I rested my head on Adrien's shoulder as I took in everything around me. I wished Josh was here. Then maybe, we could have finally gotten our perfect moment that I had been waiting so long for. I sighed deeply.
Adrien slowed down. "So shall we follow Julien and Anna back to where you two were staning, or would you like to join me for a midnight snack?" he asked, his eyes still on the road. I bit down hard on my lip. I hadn't meant to lead Adrien on, and he seemed so nice. "Um, I think it would be better if we just went back" I said. He didn't respond and he just followed Julien's bike.
In a few minutes we were back at the bench. Anna and Julien sat there, flirting and waiting for us. Ihopped off the motocycle, holding my dress down to cover myself. I glanced over at Anna who was staring at Julien like she was in love. "Hey Anna.." I said. She didn't answer. The next thing I knew, Anna and Julien were making out. I turned my head away in disgust. Adrien chuckled. I smiled.
"I better head over to the hotel" I said pointing towards the hotel we were staying in. "Let me walk you" Adrien said. I accepted. He took my hand and walked across the street with me. Anna and Julien followed soon after.
"Goodnight" Anna told Julien. He smiled and leaned in to kiss her one last time. I turned away to face Adrien. "Thanks. For everything. I had a lot of fun" I said, with a genuine smile. Adrien smiled back happily. "It was my pleasure" he said. He lifted my hand and pressed his lips down softly. I smiled again.
"Rose?" I heard Josh call from behind me. I turned to see him looking at me angrily. I snapped back to face Anna. She looked at me apologeticly. I raised my eyebrow. She answered my confusion. "I forgot to tell you.. Josh called, I told him we'd meet him here" she said. I shook my head angrily and turned back to Adrien. "I have to go, but thank you.. again" I said before turning around and heading towards Josh. But he was gone.
I ran into the hotel but he was already on his way up the elevator. I took the stairs instead of waiting. I took a deep breath before entering our room. Afraid that Josh would be so angry and.. dare I even think it? .. Break up with me. This couldn't be the end, atleast, I hoped it wasn't. We were too good together. That was clear for everyone to see, even him. He had to know that. I hoped he did. I slid my card into the door and opened it slowly.
Josh was lying on his bed, the sheet covering him. "Joshie?" I said as I put down my bag. He didn't answer. I walked over to his bed and picked up the sheet. He opened his eyes to look at me then closed them again. I sighed and slid into the bed with him. I pet his cheek lightly with my fingers. "Nothing happened Josh. I promise you that. I'm sorry if you were worried about that" I said.
He opened his eyes to look at me. "Nothing happened?" he asked to be sure. "Of course not" I said. He sighed and wrapped his arm around my waist. Pulling me into his chest. "I'm so sorry Rose" he said. "It's fine" I assured him. "You know I love you, I'm never gonna give you up" I promised. "It's not just that I was jealous.. I just, I worry about you" he began. "Ever since I saw what almost happened with Dean.." he said reminding me of that night. I shuddered and he felt it. He kissed the tip of my nose. "I want to protect you, and running off with some random guys doesn't really seem safe to me" he said. "I'm sorry, Joshie. But you don't need to worry about me, I can take care of myself" I said as I combed my fingers through his hair.
"Aren't you gonna change your clothes before you go to sleep?" I asked him. He laughed. "Yeah, but after seeing you my brain was pretty scattered" he said as he stood up. He slipped off his shirt and pants right in front of me. My jaw clenched tightly. I stood up and walked over to my suitcase. I pulled out a pink tank top and light blue shorts. Then I headed to the bathroom to wash off the make-up and change. I couldn't help but keep thinking of how good Josh looked.
When I was done I opened the door to go to sleep. The lights were off, but the street lights allowed some light in. Josh was already in bed, sleeping quietly. I tip toed over to my bed. For some reason, knowing he was in the bed next to me made me anxious. Likehe was too far yet so close. I tried to forget about it but I couldn't. I tossed and turned, praying for sleep, but nothing came. I closed my eye lids tightly and tried to count sheep, but the sheep started to creep me out after a while.
Then I heard foot steps. I assumed it was just my imagination, and kept my eyes closed. They were coming closer. I opened my eyes, but it was too dark to see anything. Someone slid next to me under the covers. Josh. His bare skin pressed against me as he held me close. I felt shivers up and down my spine. But I was happy, to be so close to him.
"Are you okay Rose?" he asked concerned. "I can't sleep" I answered. He rubbed my arm gently. It felt so good. He hummed a familiar tune. Although I couldn't quite place it. He reached over to the bedside desk. I saw the light from his phone as he clicked away looking for something. Then I heard it. The song he had been humming to. I remembered it now. Crazy For This Girl by Evan and Jaron. I smiled, remembering it on his playlist for me. He played with my fingers as I awaited sleep. Before I knew it, I was dreaming. Of me and him. Forever.
