Chapter 5 : A pirates of the caribbean love story with a twist.4
Part 4 enjoy! As you may remember you were in a daydream about the day your parents died. The battle at Port Royal.
You were brought out of your daydream by the sound of cannon. You looked out of the
window to see an unfamiliar ship in berth, shooting regular rounds. You ran to your cousin’s room, on the way you saw Tom. “Tom, Tom!” you shouted and he ran up the stairs.
“Yes.” He said taking your hand.
“Go to your brother, take this.” You said handing another pistol, you kept it in your room, just in case there was an attack. You also put in his pocket a ring. He kissed you and ran down the steps. You ran towards her room. You ran out, she was stood on the balcony. “Elizabeth come with me!” you said as they came through the gates. You ran out. There was a knock on the door. The butler walked to open it.
“Don’t!” she shouted just as he opened the door.
“Hello chum.” Said a pirate. He shot the butler in the head.
“Up there.” Said another pointing to the two of you.” You ran up to the rooms pursued by the pirates. You shut the door and tried your best to lock it. You turned and ran into the two maids. You all shrieked. She grabbed Elizabeth.
“They’ve come to kidnap you.” She said hysterically.
“What?”
“You’re the governors daughter and niece.”
“They haven’t seen you, hide and the first chance you get onto the fort.” You and Elizabeth ran off. Just as they unlocked the door. A pan hit the last one through and the maids made a run for it. You and Elizabeth tried to fight them off. She shot down a ceiling heater on ones head. You ran down the stairs and one jumped about 7 feet to just in front of you. You wheeled around and a man with all of your jewels ran in, a cannonball hit him. The chandelier began falling and you ran out from underneath it. You escaped into a room, but you did not note which one it was. Elizabeth put a candlestick so that it would not open. She tried to get a sword off of the shield above the fireplace but could not. It fell and you ran for it. You hid in a cupboard. They burst in.
“We now you’re here poppet.” Sang out one. “Come out. We promise we won’t hurt you. We will find you poppet. You’ve got something of ours. It calls to us. The gold calls to us.” The light slowly disappeared. “ ‘Ello Poppet.”
“Parley!” you both said. “Parley. We invoke the right of parley. According to the code of the brethren as set down by the pirates Morgan and Bartholomew you have to take us to your captain.” He looked at you both.
“I know the code.”
“If an adversary demands parley you can do them no harm until the parley is complete.”
“To blazes with the code.” Said his friend.
“They want to be taken to the captain. And they’ll go with out fuss. We must honour the code.”
As you were dragged through the streets. You saw Will and Tom. “Elizabeth, Victoria.” They both said. They went to step towards you, but they were stopped.
You approached the ship, the ship you had seen shrinking into the distance the day you had found will and tom. “I didn’t know we was taking on captives.” Said a tall dark man.
“They’ve invoked the right of parley with captain Barbossa.” Elizabeth stepped forward.
“I am here to negotiate…” The man smacked her across the face.
“You will speak when spoken to.” He ordered. A man grabbed his hand.
“And you’ll not lay a hand on those under the protection of parley.”
“Ate sir.” He said begrudgingly.
“My apologies ladies.”
“Captain Barbossa, I am here to negotiate the dictation of hostilities against Port Royal.”
“There are a lot of long words in their miss, we’re not but humble pirates.” He said. “What is it that you want?” She sneered.
“I want you to leave and never come back.” They all laughed.
“Well I am disinclined to acquiest your request.” She looked blank. “Means ‘no.’”
“Very well.” She said and you both pulled off the necklaces. She walked to the edge and dangled it off. “I’ll drop it.”
“What moonshine why would that bit of shine matter to us?” he said turning to the crew. “Why?” He snapped.
“Its what you’ve been searching for. I recognise this ship, we saw 8 years ago on the crossing from England.”
“Did you now?”
“Fine, well if it is worthless then wont need me keeping it.” She brought it through her hands.
“No!” they said stepping forward. She smiled knowingly and the captain stepped forward.
“You have names?”
“Elizabeth …… Turner. I’m a maid in the governors house hold.” The captain turned.
“Miss Turner.”
“Bootstrap.”
“And how does a maid come to own a trinket such as that, uhh? Family heirloom perhaps?”
“I didn’t steal it if that’s what you mean.”
“Very well, you hand it over and we’ll put your town to our rudder and never return. Who are you?” You hesitantly handed it over.
“She is my mistress. Victoria Swann.” He walked off. “What about our bargain?” you both said.
“Steal the guns and sail.” He started saying orders but you were too busy attempting to pinpoint a familiar spot of silver.
“Wait! You have to take us to shore. According to the code of the order of the brethren.”
“Your return to shore was not part of our negotiations, nor our agreement so I must do nothing and secondly you must be a pirate for the pirate code to apply and your not. And thirdly the code is more what you call guidelines than actual rules. Welcome aboard the black pearl miss Tuner. Miss Swann.” He said turning away from the two of you. You were led off.
“Vic where’s yours?” you looked down.
“Tom’s got it I’ve put him in danger now.” You said quietly.
"Good thinking."
A pic of Norry mostly for my sister.
