The Jonas Story

*Recap* Ariel is ina coma. Denise knows that Joe likes Ariel and she Joe told her that Nick and Ariel are dating. *End of Recap*
Later Selena and Alyson crashed through the door with Kevin. I jumped and this time Nick even looked up. Selena and Alyson didn't care. Their faces were panicked and when they saw Ariel, their eyes started to water. They dashed to her side just as Nick did. Nick was already looking back at Ariel. Selena and Alyson sniffed and dropped their balloon and flowers alongwith get well cards. The balloon had a weight so it fell to the floor. Alyson and Selena hugged each other and started crying. After a little bit they sniffed and picked up the flowers and balloon and stuff and put them on a chair. Kevin's eyes were starting to water and he was sitting down again. A tear rolled down my cheek.
"What happened?" Selena said and her voice cracked. I opened my mouth to answer but Nick did first.
"We were walking through the woods and all of a sudden she collapsed but I caught her and she got cut by her ankle. I tried to clean it but I didn't do it good enough." I looked at him.
"Nick," he looked at me, "it's not your fault she’s like this. It just happened. It's no ones fault. If it weren't for you she could have died." I told him. He gave me a look that said 'thanks but that won't wake her up.' I looked back at Ariel. Selena and Alyson left a few hourslater. They said they would be back tomorrow. Then Chelsea and Nicole came in and immediately started crying when they laid eyes on Ariel. Chelsea and Nicole also brought some balloons, flowers and get well cards. Chelsea ran to Ariel's bedsideacross from Nick andfell on her knees. She buried her head in her hands but Kevin got up and held Nicole while she cried into his chest. Nick didn't seem to notice but I'm sure he did. He pulled Ariel's hand to him and kissed the top of it and held it in both hands. I could see the pain in his face and so could everyone else. Chelsea saw Nick kiss her hand and the way he looked at her and she gave me a looked that asked me if they were dating. I slowly nodded to her. She sniffed and wiped her eyes. This time when they asked what happened Nick didn't say anything. He just pointed to her ankle while I said that she got cut while going on a walk. If I said that she was with Nick I knew that would hurt him. I guess it hurt to much for Nick to repeat it and that's why he didn't. Nicole stopped crying but she still rested her head on Kevin's chest. She was looking at Ariel. Kevin was still holding her.

"I hope she will come out of this soon." Nicole said.

"She will." I blurted out. I didn't realize I said that out loud until everybody wasexcept Nick was looking at me.

"Yeah, she will." Nick said agreed. Nicole and Chelsea left a hour and a half later. It was 2 a.m and Kevin was asleep with his head on the wall. Nick of course was awake.
"Do you want something to drink?" I asked Nick. He shook his head.
"No, but thanks." He answered. I got up and left. I got some water and went outside for some fresh air. The cool breeze felt good against my face. I took a deep breath. I breathed in the cool, crisp air. I let it out slowly. I wished I could take some in a bag somehow for Nick. He won’t leave that spot until she wakes up. I knew that. He loves her alot and so do I. I had no idea how he could stay in that hot and stuffy hospital. But then again, if I got to hold her and kiss her like he did, and if I was her boyfriend, then I bet I could stay frozen in one spot and wait for her. I went back inside and sat down with water in my hand. Ididn't know when but I fell asleep. When I woke up, Nick was sleeping but he was still holdingonto her hand. Since I was sittingon a chair and I fell asleep in a chair my legs were stiff. I wasjust about to walk out when I looked back and saw that both Nick and Kevin were asleep. I walked back to Ariel's bed.I leaned down and lightly kissed her on her cheek. When I stood back up I was about to walk out again when something caught my eye. I turned around and saw Kevin. He was awake! MY face turned to shock.

"I... I was just gonna stretch my legs." I stuttered. He got up and followed me outside. We stretched. It was just starting to get light.
"So um.. I just-" I started.
"It's alright Joe. You like her and I won't say anything. Nick would understand though." Kevin said before I could finish.
"Come on, let's go get something to eat. Let's get something for Nick too because he's not leaving that spot until she wakes up." Kevin suggested.
"Ok." I agreed. We went and got something to eat. Let’s get something for Nick too because he’s not leaving that spot until she wakes up.” Kevin suggested.

“Ok.” I agreed. We went and got something for all of us to eat. By the time we got back to the hospital it was light outside. The morning sun already rose. (sry I was listening to Tonight when I wrote this.) We went back into the hospital room. Nick was awake.

“Hey Nick, we got some food.” Kevin said.

“I’m not hungry.” Nick replied. Then our parents and Frankie came through the door. Their eyes were red. Frankie was crying and sat on the edge of the bed. He nudged Ariel’s arm.

“Wake up.” He said. Mom picked him up. A few hours later Mom and Dad and Frankie ate a little bit. Nick didn’t even eat two bites. He just took a sip of water. We tried to get Nick to eat more but he didn’t. Mom and Dad said that they were going to take Frankie home. It was dark outside. It was 11 p.m. Selena and Alyson came back like they said they would and eventually left. Nick barley slept.

*The next day*

Mom and Dad and Frankie came back again, but as usual left because Frankie was sleepy. I went outside and came back in. It was 11:30 p.m.
